How to create circular Container in codenameone? - codenameone

How can I create a circular container items to create the effect of circular movement like a carrusell in codenameone?
When the last element showed in the screen arrise the visibility, then the first item it show from bottom and if I touch this container to UP, then the first item it showed from below of the container.

This isn't possible in a layout since components map to specific locations. However, List supports this functionality using:
list.setFixedSelection(List.FIXED_NONE_CYCLIC);

Render Visual 3D Container on top in Viewport3D

Using Helixtoolkit you have set up a scene (viewport). Added the camera, default lights, grids, etc. You also added a SortingVisual3D where you add various box elements for example. They are rendered as they are placed in the view. Everything fine.
Now I would like to achieve is to create a new container for 3D objects where my moving gizmo would be placed (every object gets one). If I add gizmo to sorting container, it might not be visible (box overlapping gizmo), so I need a separate container which has to be rendered on top of everything.
How to set container (content) to be rendered on top of everything - regardless of its physical location while still keeping it in the correct 3d space when rotating camera. Something like 3dsmax does (example).
Tnx
Ok, found the solution myself. What you want to do is to make an overlay and transform Point3D to Point and place objects there (a canvas for example).

Codenameone list scrollbar quetions

I have a list and its scroll bar on the right along with two custom buttons representing upscroll and downscroll. These two buttons simulate scrolling by using list.setSelectedIndex(index, true) and are placed above and below my scrollbar via my custom layout.
I have two questions regarding this:
1). Since the upscroll and downscroll buttons are overlayed on top of the list, they disappear when i click elsewhere..and they kind of flash into appearance when i click the area it's supposed to be in. How can I remedy this behavior?
2). I have a scrollbar image that I have used in the "Scroll" theme in the GUI builder. It's alignment is IMAGE_ALIGNED_CENTER. However the scroll thumb doesn't reach the end of the bar when i scroll to the end of the list via my upscroll and downscroll buttons. The upscroll and downscroll buttons essentially scroll the list by one index with each press (using setSelectedIndex(index, true)).
Thanks
How do you overlay the buttons. I'm assuming you just set them into a specific location which disallowed as we can't possibly adapt them to the various resolutions. I suggest reading the developer guide section on layouts very carefully.
To place something on top of the list in a portable way you need to use the LayeredLayout or the LayeredPane and a Container + correct layout to position this within (e.g. BorderLayout EAST).
In this blog post there is a sample for making a scrollbar but it isn't "on top". It can be used as a starting point.

List with multiple items that contain multiple boxes Sencha Touch 2.3

I have a list in my app that I'm creating with Sencha-Touch 2.3. Imagine a single list item that has multiple pieces of data equally spaced apart horizontally. There can be many list items like this. The size in between the boxes that are in each list item change depending on the device, because their size is a percentage of the devices width. What I described here is what I want to happen.
Right now I'm using an itemTpl with span elements. I gave the span elements a class so that I can reference it in css. The css changes I make to width do not make any difference to these span elements in each list item. The span elements all touch, with no space in between them no matter what I do.
How can I make what I described here happen? I've been searching the internet for an answer for a long time but haven't found anything.
Have you tried looking at the Ext.dataview.DataView with useComponents:true?
You can define a DataItem with a layout of hbox and use multiple sub-components with flex:1 to get a bunch of horizontal boxes with all equal width.
check out the docs here to get a sense of how to implement a DataItem inside of a DataView

Silverlight zindex with dynamically added controls

I have grid with some textboxes and an image which goes out of grid boundaries and I add this grids dynamically in my code to another grid.
I want to have my image on top of all the rest of the grids. Unfortunately each grid I add to the root grid will hover over my previous grid image.
Could you please suggest anything?! I have tried with zindex and it did not work in my case.
What I am doing wrong?
ZIndex only works for the immediate children of a panel-derived container (Grid, Canvas, Stackpanel etc). Otherwise it is down to the order they exist in the visual tree (i.e. the last one gets displayed on top).
If you have nested objects you simply need to think about the order they are added. The simplest way to do this is have two top level grids/panels, the first contains everything else and the last containing just the dynamically added children.
This way whatever you put in the second grid will always be on top of all other items (in the first grid/container).

WPF - automatically relocating children when parent resizes

I have a container whose size can change.
I will by dynamically creating instances of a user control and adding them to that container.
the size of the user control is fixed. what I want to do is, fit the most number of user controls in the container.
I think a good approach is to add the children horizontally until there is no more space to add another and then start another row.
Say, each row fits 3 children for a given width of the container. if it is expanded enough, it should automatically fit 4 children in a row.
Is there a container control (StackPanel Grid etc.) that I can use to host these user controls. What properties need to be changed.
On resizing the container, it should relocate the children so that the maximum children ae shown. Scrolling is okay as long as max are shown at any given time.
Is there a container that does this automatically? or should I manually create rows or panels or something and add n children to each - i.e., do it manually?
I think what you need is a WrapPanel.
There's a Panels Overview on the MSDN with a lot more information and links to specific types of Panel including the WrapPanel:
WrapPanel positions child elements in sequential position from left to right, breaking content to the next line at the edge of the containing box. Subsequent ordering happens sequentially from top to bottom or right to left, depending on the value of the Orientation property.
I think a good approach is to add the children horizontally until there is no more space to add another and then start another row.
This is exactly what a WrapPanel does.
