Listbox or Listview or Gridview?

I am trying to achieve this.
I have a list of records (filenames) which I want to show in a list.
Anybody has any idea as to which control to use.
Regards,
Deepak
The information is right at your fingertips. You should learn to use Snoop. Aside from that, you should choose whatever control works best for you, which requires you to learn the difference between each. We can't really provide a good answer because there are many different ways this control could be implemented, and that's why WPF is so powerful.
Basically, you'll want to use a mixture of a Grid and ItemsControl. You can see the layout of the controls that are being used in this screenshot:

Dynamic Databinding in WPF

I am filling up a Stackpanel with Textboxes. Each textbox, Should display the Value Property of a Class i have written.
The number of Textboxes is always different so i can't create a databinding in the xaml file.
Are there tutorials, that show how can i archive my goal?
Edit: Thanks for the replies so far. After reading the articles i still not clear how to implement my Problem.
Here is what I'm trying to achieve:
I have an SQL Server DB and there a Table with an ID and a Value.
I now load all Values and IDs i want to display into my application. (number of loaded rows is always differnt).
I need to display a textbox for each row and display the value there and after the value is changed i write the value back to the database.
I don't know how I should query the data and than bind it to the textboxes.
I don't need an implementations, I am happy with every piece of advice I can get.
yes there are a number of tutorials out there. It sound like you are interested in datatemplating.
I would suggest looking Here on MSDN. A few tutorials on databinding in general may be useful DataBinding on MSDN
If your class, classValue, has a public property Value then just create a List and bind that to a ListBox with the item DisplayValuePath = Value. Repeater controls are used to bind to collections.

WPF Autocomplete using Combobox

I am trying to create an autocomplete textbox in WPF. What i found is http://weblogs.asp.net/okloeten/archive/2007/11/12/5088649.aspx. It seems quite close to what i needed. The only thing missing in this is when i press down arrow key after typing some characters it does not allow to me select an item from the narrowed list in dropdown.
Please give me some pointers how can i allow to select item using up/down keys after filtering list using some text input.
Regards.
There have been many implementations already for an autocompletebox. So as swiszcz stated, look for a working & well documented project. You need not spend time on trying to tweak some particular code for too long, when other options are available.
I have used an AutoCompleteBox implementation by Aviad P for many projects and found it easy enough to tweak and suite my needs. I feel the code is well documentated in the blog article itself. Also it uses a textbox & listbox (rather than a combobox) which is in my opinion, a better choice.

How to: A ListBox from two sources?

I am using EF with WPF.
How should I create a ListBox that shows both Contacts and Persons?
My question is rather how to retrieve it and create the CollcetionViewSource(s).
I know I will have to use ItemTemplateSelector, that's less what I care, what I really care is the retrieval, but any tips on the representation will be welcommed as well.
Thanks
See the CompositeCollection class.

How do I Determine the Source of the SelectionChangedEvent

I have a question regarding a ComboBox in silverlight and it's selected item.
I would like to determine what triggered the SelectionChangedEvent, was it the user selecting a new item in the list or was it programatically set?
While ideally I would like to solve this using the CommandPattern (I am essentially using a modified RelayCommand (http://joshsmithonwpf.wordpress.com/2008/11/17/emulating-icommandsource-in-silverlight-2/). I am open to other suggestions.
I have also played around with the SelectionChangedEventArgs, which has an OriginalSource property, which upon first inspection may appear to help, however it is null (regardless of the manner in which the item was selected.)
Any ideas, other than setting an internal flag? :)
Thanks
Unfortunately this is a tough thing to determine, since the framework works pretty hard to simply bubble up any changes or user events in this situation as that selection changed event.
If you really need to, you could write a simple ComboBoxWrapper that is effectively the flag you're talking about - so you could derive from ComboBox, try overriding or hiding the CLR setter for SelectedItem, and then maintain state that way.
Any particular scenario in use here? There may be another way to approach a solution.
