I browse a password protected internet page for my work. I need to copy a table from the page and paste it into Excel. The table is displayed using microsoft silverlight 5. I've tried all the simple ways of copying the data (ctrl-c, right clicking) without luck. Is there anyway for me to export the table to excel?

I use google form to collect images. The images are stored in a folder in google drive. The folder is shared publicly so that all the photos within the folder are also public if the link is available. The responses are stored in google sheet and converted to a accessible file that i.e. change from "https://drive.google.com/open?id=" to "https://drive.google.com/uc?id=" so that images are directly accessible. The google sheet is connected with google data studio. I need to show these images in the data studio dashboard. What I could find as solution was to create a table with the image URLs. Using a table, I've tried to do the following
Created a new field in google data studio and added image function with a link as mentioned above.
Instead of creating a new field, changed the type of image URL column to URL as well as image.
Both above are working for me as an editor (during edit or view as shared in below images. But when I share the dashboard as a link and view it in incognito mode, it is not working. I hope I'm able to explain.
Google Form Link: https://forms.gle/FFjX7cV8tJUSx5GW9
Google sheet where data is collected : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1glpAId0LHgTUUtVk3RwakDr-H1KUXk3WtA-SE50HKXQ/edit?usp=sharing + also Embedded in google data studio
Google Data Studio link: https://datastudio.google.com/s/oaCN4EO-J4c
Its working for me as editor, but as a viewer in above link, its not working as visible in above data studio link
But as a viewer (incognito mode) images are not visible.
Actually, the images work for any user logged into its own Google account. The problem is really experienced when the dashboard is open with no logged user.
Diving into the problem, it seems to be related with the number of redirects that Google Drive need to access the image. Reproducing your dashboard I was able to see the error ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS in browser's Dev Mode.
Steps in logged mode:
Access https://drive.google.com/uc?id=[id]
302 Redirect to https://*.googleusercontent.com/docs/
The image is returned
Steps in non logged mode:
Access https://drive.google.com/uc?id=[id]
302 Redirect to https://*.googleusercontent.com/docs/...
302 Redirect to https://docs.google.com/nonceSigner?...
The image is returned
If you look into Dev Mode, it is possible to note that the URL ended with "/nonceSigner" is accessed dozens of times when not logged (the same does not happen when logged). This means that Data Studio start a loop trying to access the image, which triggers a "retry" operation when it sees a double redirect.
Curiously, this does not happen when using the standard Image control (instead of table chart, that reads from a DataSource), so it seems to be a bug in the Table chart component.
So you're out of luck. My suggestion is to use Cloud Storage instead of Google Drive, since it seems you're using some undocumented features and they'll surely break at some time.
Another option is to report this bug to DataStudio team (report here). There are Data Studio developers that activelly answer questions in StackOverflow (like Minhaz Kazi), so try to drive their attention to this issue.
I was having a related issue here - a colleague was not able to view images in a data studio dashboard, even though he was able to view the same files directly in Drive. It turned out to only be a problem using the Brave browser! I can't figure out what exactly was going on, but posting here in case it helps someone else.
I have a 2012 SSRS report that process thousands of records, it's a paginated report via an SSRS parameter.
When we export the report, the data is being sent to multiple spreadsheets (due to the pagination).
Is there any way to avoid this? To keep pagination but export the data to a single spreadsheet?
Thanks
There are two different kind of "pages" when viewing a report. There are natural breaks based on the page size and then there are hard page breaks that can be set to occur between objects or groups.
With hard page breaks it's all or nothing. The sheets created during export are a direct reflection of the page breaks in the report.
However, if you simply let the report create pages during viewing and don't specify any actual page breaks, all the data will export to one sheet!
Another hack way of doing this is.. have another version of the same report without the group pagination. Hide this report. Have a text box on your original report.. call it "Export to Excel" or something like that.. under actions for the textbox.. select go to URL. and in there put in your report server path to your hidden report.. including any parameters in your original report.
The link would look something like this - Note the Command at the end of the URL:
"http://yoursite/ReportServer/Pages/Folder.aspx/Production%20Reports/?%2fProduction+Reports%2fYOUR_HIDDEN_Report"&"¶meter1=" & Parameters!parameter1.value &"¶meter2="& Parameters!parameter2.value,& "&rs:Command=Render&rs:Format=EXCEL"
You have to play around with the link to get the correct link.. Once you have the correct link.. run the original report report and click on the "Export to Excel" Button / text box .. You will now see a prompt to download the Excel file..
You should not have a as a single sheet.. done.
I created a database (.mdf) for my MVC application and whenever I add a table to the database and want to save it, it keeps prompting me to save it as a .sql file somewhere on my computer. I watched several tutorials on youtube on how to add a database to MVC application and in every video the video creator presses CTRL+S and then it prompts him to enter table name. In my case, I get this: http://prntscr.com/c8i56g
How am I supposed to save the table inside the database?
Please try updating the database rather than saving it. Option to update is on the left top corner of the designer window for the table. Hope this helps.
I am working on a web application and one of the features I want to add to the application is working with excel within the web app...
the generic idea is basicly : there is an excel file sitting on a server and it can be displayed on the webpage.. people can edit the file and save it back to the server.. (it will have all of the functionality of Excel itself..)..
is there a way to embedd an excel file / any excel plugin exist? or maybe any alternative to excel that will give me the same functionality?
Thank you very much!
*Important - I want to be able to do that on a localhost without a thirdparty like skydrive/google docs or etc... i want their functionality but all within a local host.. (you can edit the sheet, post a save request and it will update the file residing in the server..)
You can use Google Docs. This article explains pretty well, at least, gives
a general idea.
I am creating a desktop windows form application with database attached.. the first screen consists of a form that user is supposed to fill, if he/she wants to print this form.. is there any solution that a file in pdf form be created dynamically, that user can print?
Besides the record is also saved in database.
I have used iTextSharp it works well for web applications. But i want to generate a file from windows form app.
Kindly help
Thanks in advance
Use any reporting services like sap crystal reports or Birth , then in desktop application populates the data changes through store procedures.
Create report which use this same store procedure.
Once the report is called from desktop app, from the report you have options to export pdf, excel etc.
