I am using extjs-4, I want to enable/disable textfield on the fly depending upon data being loaded.
I tried setting disabled and readOnly property to true/false whenever needed but it doesn't seem to get applied.
Is there any other way to achieve it?
Call the setDisabled and setReadOnly methods on the TextField to manipulate those properties after the field is created.

I am currently using antd-form-builder to build multiple JSON forms for different components and I have an issue with antd trying to use a checkbox to disable another input.. basically I have a function that returns the form meta fields and then in the onChange for the checkbox I am trying to set another field to become disabled
what I have managed to find so far is for the form ref there is a setFields function and I can use this to change the value of another field or the errors on that field through the onChange of the checkbox, however, I cannot change the disabled state of another field.
turns out, this cant be done .. and state variables should be used as mentioned in the issue here
I want to basically know if I am having rows selected to activate an input, the thing is
"selectionChange" event is not capturing when the selection is being changed I have a small example.
https://codesandbox.io/s/ag-grid-react-redux-events-forked-459v6?file=/index.js
What id expect to happen is to get the alert to show when something is selected on this example.
Turns out in React this property is onSelectionChange, following react pattern
I'm using a property grid with editors set in sourceConfig. I want only some rows to be editable and not all. Returning false in beforeedit disables all. The reason is, I have a button in a grid. When I click the button, the grid turns to a textfield! Any way to do this?
The beforeedit event should provide you with the editor and the editing context. Lets say your callback function looks like this:
function(editor,context) { ... }
Using the context you will get the record which get edited by accessing context.record while the editor can provide you with the editor form from where you have access to all rendered fields within that form. To get the form you have to get the editor first and after that you can fetch the form
var form = editor.getEditor().getForm()
This way you can be sure that the editor has been set up. To get a field within that form simply call
form.findField('fieldname') // fieldname is the dataIndex of the column
You can now do nearly anything based on your conditions.
In addition the record is also loaded into this form an can be accessed by calling form.getRecord()
I have a basic form inside a window. This form has several check boxes and I need to some how be able to select all with another checkbox. How am I supposed to access these checkbox types. I am trying to get reference to "this" and then this.getForm().getFieldValues() but is there a better way to do it, as I only need to get the checkboxes and not other fields.
Thanks,
SS
By default ExtJs fields don't have a getForm() method to get access to their parent. However, you can use this override to add this method. Once you've got the form, you can get access to any field you like, which should let you do what you describe.
