windows phone 7 Saving image and sound in database - database

I am currently doing my final year project. I have to create a Windows phone application. My application allows users to record sound and image and store it in their windows phone database. I know that in order for us to store image and sound in the database which uses SQL ce we have to convert them to byte. The problem that i am currently facing is that once the image is saved and when i try to retrieve it, the picture is a black image. I am also not sure on how to save the sound in the database. If it is not much trouble, could please help me? i am really new to windows phone development and i am not sure about how it works.

Id save everything to isolated storage and just store the location of said data in a database. You'll find this much easier :-)

Android studio how to access server files?

I want to make an app as my final project for my teacher. I will have images of homework assignments and the date of homework assigned in text format in the server. And I want to make an app where it will access it and put it in an activity.
So I need to know what kind of server do I need, if I could just use google drive somehow or not?
Save it as JSON, you save the images on your database and call it in your JSON.
But for what you intend to do I think FireBase will work just file because it is free for small projects like this.

How to add first name and email before uploading a video?

Hi guys im brand new and not a developer but I need a way for users when they go to my site they can upload there video and there would be a option for them to add there first name and email so when the video is uploaded the database can keep all the data together.
Ideally I want this as easy as possible for the user and this would just go to our youtube channel or any video platform will work.Any advice would be great!
Please provide more information like what platform are you using ?.
There's more than one way to skin a cat.
The simple way to achieve with web technologies like (Php,node, jave) is maintain the basic user information into the sessions, and whenever it's necessary use this information.
You need to get some knowledge about the system you are using. You particularly need:
access to the server
to know the server type
access to the database
to know the database type
where the relevant files are
After you have gathered all these information, you at least know what you do not know. The next step is to gather information about how you can implement the feature you need. Look at it like at a puzzle with many small pieces. If you are patient-enough, at the end you will resolve the puzzle.

sql data base with pictures

I'm working on a SQL server database and I need to have pictures
its for a catalog and most pictures are 1-4 mbs I don't thing embedding the pictures in SQL will be a good idea
what the best solution
till now I used to use access
I would really like to make a wpf form
but when I make a data source I don't understand exactly how linked images work
my main point is that I need it to run really quick and print out a catalog with inventory info each day for thousands of items
I'm looking for a form to manage it
I have tried an access form but access doesn't handle good the linked pictures
Just store the path to the image in the database.
Or, if using SQL 2008 or higher, there is also a new table called FileTable that stores data in the file system directly.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/es-es/library/ff929144.aspx
"I need it to run really quick" If speed is a must, Access might not be a good choice for this.. You should use a more professional RDBMS, IMHO.
If this is a hobby project I'd suggest using sqlserver express (I assume you have microsoft knowledge) and either storing a link to an image on the file system/web server or storing the object in the db. For small data volumes either way is likely to perform fairly well.
It is all very easy in MS Access 2010, just bind an image control to a table of paths. For example, my table is called Pictures, with the following entries.
PicturePath
Z:\Users\Fionnuala\Pictures\abc.png
Z:\Users\Fionnuala\Pictures\abc.jpg
I now just need an image control on a report bound to the table Pictures with a control source set to PicturePath, the images will be displayed.

Storing Images in SQL Server database

I'm trying to create a sample ASP.NET MVC application with a ViewModel and onion architecture - very simple online shop.
So as you suppose this shop has products, and each product should have one very small image and when user clicks on that product, he is redirected to a details page, and of course he should see a bigger image of the product.
AT first I thought, it's a simple application, I would (internet) links to the pictures in the database. But then I thought, ok what about when this image is erased from internet, my product will no longer have an image.
So I should store those pictures in the database somehow. I have heard about something called FileStream that is the right way but I found no material to understand what is that.
I hope someone would help me.
There are several options. You could save the picture in the database using a varbinary.
Read here how to read it using MVC.
When you opt for a solution where you split database and file storage, which is perfectly possible, you should consider that it could mean extra maintenance for cross-checking deleted records, etc.
If you choose the last option, the information in the article will mostly suite your needs too.

How do I make uploaded content uploaded from many servers

I have this kind of problem. I have created a web application and I am going to run it on a dedicated server. Users will be able to upload photos and other kind of files. If the users increase I add another server.
So they become two like in the picture below. Now since the files are being uploaded to my applications root folder, I think the new server won't be able to read those files. How can I accomplish to store files in a way that whatever server a user will be connecting to he will be able to retrieve the file. How are the cheaper computers (small ones in the ring) connected so that they store files like one big drive with one giant folder such that whenever I want to increase storage I just add another cheap computer to the ring. What do I need to search for in the web?
please pardon me for my poor English. I had asked a similar question before but nobody answered so I thought the photo might help. I am willing to learn anything new to solve this problem. my other earlier question
