I'm running Zend Server CE on Windows. I recently installed Xdebug (so that I could analyse code coverage with PHPUnit), however that stopped Zend from running. (I couldn't boot the http://localhost:10081/ZendServer/ page.)
I know this is a regular problem - I've read the solution put forward by Zend, http://forums.zend.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=553, however this didn't work either.
I read somewhere about running 2 Apache instances, with Zend debugger configured in one, Xdebug in the other, however I don't really want to do this.
What other options are there? Has anyone managed to resolve this 'with confidence'?
Sorted this out. Upgraded Zend Server to the latest version, then upgraded Xdebug to the latest, and all seems fine.
XDebug 2.1.0 does not work with Zend Server CE 5.0.4.
XDebug 2.1.2 does not work with Zend Server CE 5.1.0.

I've reformatted my machine around 3 times. I'm on windows 10 and I've selected the erase all apps and files option and I'm still not able to install sql server express 2016. I'm presented with this error when trying to install.
‘Microsoft.VC80.MFC,version=”8.0.50727.4053″,publicKeyToken=”1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b”,processorArchitecture=”x86″,type=”win32″‘. Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x800736CC.
I've tried many many things. I've reformatted, I've tried running the file as admin, tried other versions such as stand edition 2012, tried to install the files while deleting 2010 c++ distribution. I've ran .net repair tool and nothing as well.
The problem stemmed when I manually uninstalled .net 4.5.1 framework using add/remove programs. I think my system files or registry is corrupted.
I think the error says, you have a 32 bit machine(processorArchitecture=”x86″) and you are trying to install 64 bit app ,which is not possible
further there is no 32 bit version of SQLSERVER from SQL2016 onwards
Some of you may have noticed that Microsoft recently released SQL Server 2016 CTP 2.4. There is one major change that I am very happy about – x86, or the 32-bit version, is no longer included. SQL Server 2016 is now 64-bit only
you can try downloading SQL2014 express version which comes in both versions..here is a link to download :Download SQL Server Express
I'm trying to get data from a PostgreSQL database into PowerBI Desktop but it doesn't seem to work. I think the problem is with the installation with npgsql. When trying to setup a new database connection in PowerBI I type in the database and server, and this is the error message I get:
"Unable to connect
Details: "PostgreSQL: We were unable to find a database provider with invariant name 'Npgsql'.
This error could've been the result of provider-specific client software being required, but missing on this computer. To download client software for this provider, visit the following site and choose the 64-bit (x64) version of, at minimum, 'Npgsql version 2.0.12': https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=282716""
I've tried going npgsql website and install the required components but I can't seem to get it working. I'm not a developer so this is a bit complicated for me. Does anyone know how to get these components installed? I very much appreciate your help!
I'm using Windows 10 on a Surface Pro 3 if this helps. And I do have Visual Studio Community installed as well.
Best,
Bruno.
I have downloaded and tried it with version 3.6.6
Install npgsql
During the installation stage, enabled "Npgsql GAC Installation" as GAC requires Npgsql.
Restart the PC.
It should work now.
The solution from this page helped me: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Configuring-Power-BI-Connectivity-to-PostgreSQL-Database/ba-p/12567
Select the option to install to the GAC during install of the program npgsql v3.x.x downloaded from this page https://github.com/npgsql/Npgsql/releases
It worked for me (although I do not know why:-)
When you install Npgsql you should enable installation into the GAC.
Otherwise component will not be automatically detectable to other programs.
I need to install Solr on its own server for scalability/multiple CF connections. However I am confused as to how CF 11 does this. The Standalone services installer seems to be for the Express Install.
Adobe does not support a non-ColdFusion Solr install. So do I need to install a full CF 11 install on my Solr server and open it up for remote connection?
Or do I use CF Express with the stand-alone installer?
This is running a legacy application, and I need to mimic a normal coldfusion install as much as possible.
You can in fact use a non-ColdFusion Solr install with ColdFusion. Using the CFSolrLib library, you can interact with an external Solr server using the component included in the library. I'm personally running Solr 5.2 with a ColdFusion 11 application using this library.

I'm using xampp 1.7.1 (i know it's an old version) and i need to enable the extension=php_mssql.dll - with the extension enabled my appache won't start? If i disable the extension it let's me start appache. I was having problems with my site using mssql_connect() and I was told that enabling the extension in my php.ini would help? I'm using mssql server 2008 express r2. I'm not entirely sure what php version xampp 1.7.1 is but could this be a factor? Someone mentioned I needed php 5.2
Why won't appache let me enable the extension?
Follow what is posted here: http://www.php.net/manual/en/mssql.requirements.php.
If still you cannot make it work try using the new SQLSRV driver for PHP. It can be downloaded at the Microsoft Downloads website.
I'm trying to write a REST service with Node.js and Express and I need to connect to a SLQServer 2000 database. I've tried the Microsoft connector but it's not working on linux, according to them:
The Microsoft Driver for Node.JS for SQL Server is currently available
as a preview release, and relies on run-time components that are only
available on the Microsoft Windows and Windows Azure operating
systems.
I've also tried node.js's modules tdm and tedious with no success... Any idea?
Check out tedious again. Version 0.2 fixed compatibility with TDS 7.1 (SQL Server 2000).
Have you tried Edge.js?
Leverage SQL Server with node.js.
npm install mssql
I believe that to be the generally accepted best solution
You can use Espresso Logicto create a REST API and then call that from .NodeJS
Even if its a year old question, thought of answering it as it is the first thing that shows up in google for the question.
There is node-sqlserver maintained by Microsoft. The last commit was made 5 months ago though.
Install with $ npm install msnodesql .
