Microsoft SSMS User password

I'm trying to connect Visual Studio to my local database using Microsoft SSMS, but when I try to create a new user, his password isn't what I have chosen. I have also tried modifying the "sa" user, but nothing helped because password is always the same and I can't get it. I want a user so I can connect my DB to Visual studio using SQL authentification. How could I change the user password?
Screenshot:
I solved this problem by using another method...i connected using Windows authentication instead so I didn't have to write credentials for any user, but just send server name

Change SQL Server password

I´m trying to create a login for my SQL Server, using user/password, not Windows auth, but after I create the login and set its password, if I right-click on it and check its properties, its password is a 15-character password I don´t know.
I´ve already changed to SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode on server properties, since I saw that was a solution in another post, but I´m still having this issue. After that changed, restarted my pc in order to apply changes.

How to fix 'Unable to Obtain Authentication Token' in Active Directory Authentication to Azure Analysis Server

I am simply trying to follow the steps here so that I can query an Azure Analysis Services model from C#. But in SQL Server Management Studio I fail to connect to the server when using "Active Directory - Password" authentication, getting error message "Unable to obtain authentication token using the credentials provided..."
I tried using the username displayed in Analysis Services Admins that looks like this: john.doe_outlook.com#EXT##johndoeoutlook.onmicrosoft.com
and the outlook e-mail address associated with the Azure account which is of this form john.doe#outlook.com.
The password I used is also my Microsoft account password. From researching, it is never made clear to me at all what password I should be typing in, where do I get it from? Or what exactly do I need to do here so that I can successfully connect?
Both usernames I tried result in this message:
Unable to obtain authentication token using the credentials provided. If your Active Directory tenant administrator has configured Multi-Factor Authentication or if your account is a Microsoft Account, please remove the user name and password from the connection string, and then retry. You should then be prompted to enter your credentials. (Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient)
If I enter john.doe_outlook.com#EXT##johndoeoutlook.onmicrosoft.com as the username I get these messages:
user_realm_discovery_failed: User realm discovery failed (Microsoft.IdentityModel.Clients.ActiveDirectory)
The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request. (System)
and if I enter john.doe#outlook.com as the username I get these messages:
Sequence contains no elements (Microsoft.IdentityModel.Clients.ActiveDirectory)
I solved this by creating a new a app registration and selected
'Accounts in any organizational directory and personal Microsoft accounts (e.g. Skype, Xbox, Outlook.com)'
instead of
'Accounts in this organizational directory only (Default Directory)'.
When I connect to the server in SSMS, I select Active Directory with MFA support instead of Active Directory-Password, and I enter john.doe#outlook.com. And it connects.

New user account login issues in SQL Server 2014

I have SQL Server 2014 locally on my machine. Windows did an update and somehow my user account got corrupted. I created a new user account on my machine with admin privileges and SQL Server automatically added the new user account as a sys admin. I found this out when I logged onto SSMS with my old windows account. I also noticed that the new user account was added with a SQL Server authentication. I would like the new account to have Windows authentication but somehow that is grayed out. Does any one know why? Also, when I try to login with my new account and SQL Server Authentication, I am getting a "Can not connect to local error"
When you created the new account on your machine it was not created as an AD account. It was most likely created as a local user account on your machine. Since it is not tied to an AD Account, Windows Authentication is not an option as Active Directory is a requirement.
I figured it out. I just had to create another system admin account for myself with the new windows account and use that to log in.

Allow user id and password in connection string to access a SQL Server database, but disable that user from connecting to server

I created a user login in SQL Server and I am using that userid and password in my web.config. My problem is that the requirements are: the user defined in the web.config should only be able to access the database, but should not be able to use those credentials to logon to the server.
When I change the permissions to "connect", the user is able to login to the server and that is what I do not want and when I change permissions by unticking "connect" the website does not connect. I dont know if I am making sense.
Please help me figure this out
So this particular user has access to login to windows server as well?
You should change the password from control panel for particular user and this way the user will only have access to the database through the code only.
