I'm using a rust program to perform a modify_replace command on an Active Directory group. This command modify_replaces aroung 30,000 users. I verified the user has read/write access to the group. I'm modifying the member attribute on a group object.
Adding the largest successful modify_replace is about 8,000 objects.
The error I receive is:

The issue for me was that a few users in the modify_replace could not be added to the group. By adding them one at a time using modify_replace, I could narrow it down. For safety I chose modify_add as the only option.

For authentication in Jitsi Meet, we would like to read out a Windows AD group with an ldap query. Unfortunately our ldap query does not work.

The error must be due to the filter, it works with the filter LDAP_FILTER = (sAMAccountName =% u).
Can you tell me what is wrong with our query.
A few things stand out to me:
The | in front of objectClass should not be there.
You have two closing parentheses after the objectClass condition, but the second one should be moved to the end of the whole query.
Oddly, objectClass=user will actually end up including other objects than just user accounts (like computer accounts). If you want to filter to only user objects, you have to use both (objectClass=user)(objectCategory=person). But that would only matter if you have other types of objects as members of that group.
Maybe this is just an error with pasting into the question, but there is a line break before (primaryGroupID=
I've never used Jitsi, but it may or may not like the space after LDAP_FILTER=. The other examples I see online don't show a space there.
It should look like this:
LDAP_FILTER=(&(objectclass=user)(objectCategory=person)(|(memberof=CN=group,OU=Jitsi,OU=Sicherheit,OU=Gruppen,DC=domain,DC=local)(primaryGroupID=4989)))
That means: find all user objects that are either members of that group, or have a primary group ID of 4989.
Is it possible to query for users, filtered by an X500 proxy address?
Using the following query which filters by an SMTP address, I can return all of my proxy addresses:
/v1.0/users/?$filter=proxyAddresses/any(x:x eq 'smtp:me#here.com')&$select=proxyAddresses
However, if I take one of the X500 addresses that was returned in the above query and try and filter by that:

I've tried URL encoding the address, and also tried with and without the "X500:" scheme.
Is filtering by X500 address supported?
I am able to use X500 addresses as filters without any modification to the address from a clone of GraphExplorer. The following queries both return the correct user record

Like Lisa - this is not about parenthesis. I have Any lambda queries on proxyAddresses using X500 addresses containing parentheses that working just fine in Graph Explorer.
I suspect that the issue is actually size of the search string. I repro the error if the size of the search string is greater than 120 characters.
I'm following up with the engineering team.
In the meantime Paul, as a workaround (and excuse my lack of X500 knowledge), is there a way to query using the shortest X500 string?

As Dan Kershaw answered - this does seem to be a hard coded limit of 120 characters in the email address being filtered on.
A simple workaround is to trim the email address (including the scheme - "x500:" or "smtp:") to 120 characters, and search using a "startswith":
/v1.0/users/?$filter=proxyAddresses/any(x:startswith(x, 'x500:/o=ExchangeLabs/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (blahblah)/cn=Recipients/cn=trimmed'))&$select=proxyAddresses
This may return more than one match, so its then a case of looking through each returned user, and looking at their "proxyAddresses" collection to see which matches the original untrimmed email address that's being searched for.
I can confirm that this is still an issue as of today's date.
I'm actually using the AzureAD PowerShell cmdlets, which leverage the Graph API.
I couldn't figure out why my query was failing until I found this thread, so thanks for that.
I was getting essentially the same error message in PowerShell:
"Unsupported or invalid query filter clause specified for property 'proxyAddresses' of resource 'Group'."
When I took a substring of the first 120 characters and ran a startsWith, it worked fine.
It's a shame that this issue still hasn't been resolved.
When setting up a dev environment we copied an Active directory DC.
The original setup was 3 AD servers in a forest but i seized all master roles to the copied machine.
When running dcdiag it tells me this about the RID master role:

It seems that RID next pool is empty.. I checked for DNS problems but they al seemed ok. Also i removed all reference to the other 2 DC's.
It has never worked since we copied it, but we only noticed it now because our SID's ran out because there are no RID's available in the pool and out 500 batch is empty..
Is there a way to check if that master role is realy running instead of this output which says it is running but doesn't seem to tell about why the problem occurs.

The RID master responsible for distributing non over lapin blocks of 500 hundreds RID's between the DC's of the domain. This is done to eliminate RID conflicts between different objects created on different DC's at the same time.
I need to aggregate a number of csv inbound files in-memory, if necessary resequencing them, on Mule ESB CE 3.2.1.
How could I implement this kind of logics?
I tried with message-chunking-aggregator-router, but it fails on startup because xsd schema does not admit such a configuration:

I've also tried to attach mine correlation ids to inbound messages, then process them by a custom-aggregator, but I've found that Mule internally uses a key made up of:

The internal id is everytime different (also if correlation sequence is correct): this way, Mule does not use only correlation sequence as I expected and same message is processed many times.
Finally, I can re-write a custom aggregator, but I would like to use a more consolidated technique.

I've tried with message-chunk-aggregator but it doesn't fit my requisite, as it admits duplicates.
I try to detail the scenario I need to cover:
Mule polls (on a SFTP location)
file 1 "FIXEDPREFIX_1_of_2.zip" is detected and kept in memory somewhere (as an open SFTPStream, it's ok).
Some correlation info are mantained for grouping: group, sequence, group size.
file 1 "FIXEDPREFIX_1_of_2.zip" is detected again, but cannot be inserted because would be duplicated
file 2 "FIXEDPREFIX_2_of_2.zip" is detected, and correctly added
stated that group size has been reached, Mule routes MessageCollection with the correct set of messages
About point 2., I'm lucky enough to get info from filename and put them into MuleMessage::correlation* properties, so that subsequent components could use them.
I did, but duplicates are processed the same.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen this and if so, can you confirm that this is correct? The documentation claims, as you might expect, that 10,000 is the record limit for the system call:
Database.emptyRecycleBin(records);
not 200. Yet it's throwing an error at 200. The only thing I can think of is that this call occurs from within a batch Apex process.
It took a little over a week and me supplying a failing test case to salesforce support but the issue is now being reported as a salesforce known issue suggesting it may get addressed in the platform.
My workaround for now is to wrap the call in a Database.Batchable with the batch size to 200.
This is the only reference that I could find to there being a limit of 200 on emptyrecyclebin(), I dare say that you are correct

Adam, if you got shut down when attempting to log a case regarding this due to the whole Premier Support thing you should definitely escalate your case as it was handled incorrectly and SFDC needs to know about it. I had the same exact issue myself.
SOQL For Loops may be a helpful option for working around this limit as the 'for (Account[] accounts : [SELECT Id FROM Account WHERE IsDeleted = true ALL ROWS]' format provides batches of 200.
