Hey can someone help me understand how the logic for something like this would be.
Lets say im having an event and someone can register for it.
When they click sign up.
They can select the ticket and choose how many people they want to sign up via input:select.
If theý select 2, then 2 forms should appear.
How do i then send the data and store in multiple rows to supabase for the 2 registered attendees?

I'm developing an app in which I need to show come "coupons" I get from the API. I also have a "liked coupons" page where I need to show the ones the user has liked. I'm facing 2 problems here:
1- I don't know how to store likes, should I implement a local database for everything or should I ask our back-end team to save the liked/not liked state on the server?
2- I have a model class for coupons, and I have a coupon_list widget which is a horizontal listview.builder(). the problem is that some coupons are being showed in 2 or 3 different lists and I need them to all turn to liked when user likes an instance from a single list. how can I do that? (I want to do something like working with pointers in c++, passing the ACTUAL variable instead of it's value so it changes globally)
I would like to suggest you to store it in server as well. (Ask to your back-end team to add parameter) So that if user logout or sign in from different device "liked coupons" data will be available in all cases.
And for 2) multiple coupon entry you have to manage it via unique id. Like every coupon has its unique series no / pattern num. So you can put condition on that. i.e. Add "unique_no" to liked_list from all available list of coupon
Solution
Use Shared Preferences! This is something like a database on the device you are currently running. So if the user makes a like you can save that on their device!
To add Shared Preferences to your app look this video
Hope it helps!
i am working on a social media application and i want to show the user posts of other followed user , i have an idea to put the link of all the posts of other user together and use them in a futurebuild statement, but the problem is if we have more than 1000 posts for example , it could take a while to retrieve all the data and then show it to the user,(note : i am useing pageView builder the display each post alone), my question is , how can we make the program to display about 10 posts and then in the background it could still work on the other posts , so the user dont have to wait untill all posts are retrieved. thank your for your attention !!
Is there an easy way to save a recordset, i mean multiple records, but only the "new ones"?
I have a table users and a users form in the view. First field you must enter is passport number, so if user already exists in database the rest of the form will be auto completed and disabled to prevent changes but if passport dont exist then you have to enter all data. As anyone can change those existing users data controls from the browser even if they are disabled, i want to make sure only new records are saved in database. First of all i thought i could find again in database and delete existing users from recordset before save, but i wonder if there is a more elegant approach.
Ty in advance.
I write this here, cause comments are too short:
Thank you for your answer, André. I'm sorry if i didnt explain perfectly, but the form is done by disabling all controls except passport and if passport dont exist (i check it on passport focusout) then the rest of controls are set to enabled. I mean, that is already done. The question was only about the saving.
The validation method you talk about, well i'm actually validating all the controls in the form and i must disable the 'unique' rule so a user can link an existing user to the current bill, otherwise it will fail validation on submit and it wont allow the user to proceed (i did this because it happened to me when testing). The actual setting is much more complicated: the form belongs to a model (bills) which is associated with 4 other models and 2 of those relationships are many to many, bills_users and bills_clients, where users are the persons who do the job and clients pay for it, but I was trying to make the question easier. Anyway, what I am looking for is, in fact, some kind of saving setting which I can't find. In documentation I found "When converting belongsToMany data, you can disable the new entity creation, by using the onlyIds option. When enabled, this option restricts belongsToMany marshalling to only use the _ids key and ignore all other data." The first half of the sentence was promising, but the explanation says different, and I actually tried it without success.

Yes there is you can validate it in model, something like this:
public function buildRules(RulesChecker $rules)
{
$rules->add($rules->isUnique('passportNumber'));
return $rules;
}
This will prevent to save a duplicate passport number register, but you can different.

There is two different ways to do this:
First you have your form, you develop an ajax function when you fill the first field (passport number) this ajax function do a request to your controller to search for a passport with that number if find something get data and fill others fields and turn them just readable, else just nothing and let user fill the fields by himself
second add a step-by-step where you first do a form to try find by pass number, user fill this only field with a number then submit, on submit this search for a record, if find fill the entire next step fields, else the next step will be the rest of form with the fields to be filled.

Tell me how you decided to do :)
I'm trying to learn how to use Firebase by creating a simple social media application.
https://i.stack.imgur.com/wfeyw.png (Here is how my database is laid out)
I was able to add data to the database but I'm having trouble understanding how to retrieve data. I want to be able to retrieve all the posts from a certain user and then display each one as an item in a list.
let Posts = firebase.database().ref('Posts').child(userId);
So far thats my query and here is the code I'm using to add the posts to the database. Could someone also tell me what is the term for the Id that is being generated for each post?
firebase.database().ref('/Posts').child(userId).push({
Text: post,
Score: 0
});
I want to create a small web app which would display a list of movies, with a Google spreadsheet set as a database. So far, I was able to connect my spreadsheet to my app and I also added some filters to it. (As a side note, this thread really helped me in the process.)
Here is a very simplified version of my app: http://plnkr.co/edit/BtbSCVOh7KJsMHjANxMP?p=preview
I still have 3 problems with my <select>, which I can't fix despite trying for hours:
I can't sort my <options> alphabetically. Trying with orderBy didn't return anything.
I can't figure out a way to split my categories when there are more than one for a movie.
If the "categorie" field in my spreadsheet is empty, it will return a blank <option> which I would like to remove or hide.
My guess is that I'll need to update my function one way or another, but I'm a bit lost at the moment.
Any help on this would be really appreciated!
