There is a good example in some languages or extensions, that I just input the first letters of some words of the control's name or function's name, the code IntelliSense tool will show up all the candidates which including the words that starting with those letter.
Example for the NavigationViewItem, if I input nvi, code intelligence tool may show up:
1. NavigationViewItem
2. NavigationViewItemOtherCandidate
3. ThisIsNavigationViewItemToo
I tried many times in Visual Studio 2019/2022. It seems this function is not enabled by default. Or, this function doesn't exist in XAML?
Thanks for sharing your experience.

When putting text cursor on a word I'd like other occurrences of this word to be highlighted.
I saw that it worked like that before. But how to enable it in the current version?
There is a highlight occurrences when selecting the whole word, but that's not enough.
The on-hover occurrence highlighting is a product of the semantic analysis backend.
Note that it doesn't highlight uses of a word, it highlights uses of a variable - i.e. the same name might exist in different scopes and their uses will be highlighted separately, uses in comments won't be marked, etc.
You should also notice that there's a tooltip when hovering over variables with type and other information, and that variable names are differently-coloured (unless you've set 'Local colourisation intensity' to zero in Configure Kdevelop -> Language Support).
If this isn't the case it probably means the semantic analysis backend isn't working -- either because the project settings aren't configured properly, or you lack the right plugin for the language you're using, or some dependency is missing.
RadSyntaxControl is newly created control from Telerik and has a feature for InteliPrompts but in every sample, I found out the user must manually populate CompletionInfoCollection, as you can see in this example.
CompletionInfoCollection completionList = new CompletionInfoCollection()
{
new CompletionInfo("Achitect", "A software developer expert.", Image.FromFile(#"../../SyntaxEditor/ Achitect.png")),
};
this.radSyntaxEditor1.SyntaxEditorElement.IntelliPrompts.CompletionListWindow.Presenter.CompletionListItems = completionList;
It is ok if there are just a few items for autocomplete but what in a case if I want to autocomplete for language like C#. Telerik has a syntax highlight for C#, but I cannot find a way to populate IntelliPromts with data in that manner.
The sample code is from Telerik Blogs
Thank you :)
Nenad,
As you have already found out, RadSyntaxEditor uses a CompletionInfoCollection to define intelliprompts which aim to speed up coding by reducing typos and other common mistakes. It is just necessary to define a separate CompletionInfo for each item that you want in the completion list window. It is up to you what list to be displayed and how you will get this information. This job is not intended to be done by the RadSyntaxEditor control. Additional information is available in the following help article: https://docs.telerik.com/devtools/winforms/controls/syntax-editor/features/intelliprompts
I have researched in the forums and since the English version of IntelliSense files are embedded in Visual Studio, I have found the following MSDN article which offers different language packs for the IntelliSense. Hence, you can at least use it to investigate what are the keywords and replace the translation according to your needs: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/core/install/localized-intellisense
I hope this information helps.
What I'm trying to do should be quite simple but I am getting error messages saying that conditional formatting doesn't accept this method.
So I am looking for a fix or an alternative.
What I have is a list of search texts for phone faults
screen broken
wifi not working
bluetooth dead
the dooflip isnt working
etc.
I have also set up a number of common keywords
screen
wifi
bluetooth
By comparing these two we can see that the last one doesn't adhere to any of my common keywords, and so I want it highlighted/ copied somewhere etc. so I can view and take any action.
So far I have attempted to set up conditional formatting to search the terms for the keywords and if it doesn't contain any then highlight it.
=ISERROR(SEARCH({"wifi", "bluetooth", "screen"},$H$117))
When using this I get informed that conditional formatting does not support arrays (it works fine if I only specify one search term).
If i create a table with all the keywords in and use the following it works, however it will only find direct mataches, and wont search for the word in the cell string
=ISERROR(MATCH(<cell_to_change_colour_of>, <keyword_table>,0))
So is there another way of doing this?
my answer requires MOREFUNC addon*
=REGEX.COMP(A1,"wifi|bluetooth|screen",FALSE)
this will return true if any of the words appear anywhere in cell A1. FALSE in the formula stipulates that it is not case sensitive.
Unfortunately due to Excell's stupid rules it will not work directly in Conditional Formatting box. You will need to place it in a helper column, and point the conditional formatting rule to that column.
MOREFUNC ADDON
Morefunc Addon is a free library of 66 new worksheet functions.

I have declared an event in "Question" class as:
public event SectionAffected OnSectionAffected;
I have not used this event in the entire class.But I have used it in another class as:
Question.OnSectionAffected += new Question.SectionAffected(ResetDependentSection);
I am getting warning as:
The event 'QuestionManager.OnSectionAffected' is never used in Question class.
How to solve this warning?
A warning is just that... a warning. Having warnings is not necessarily a bad thing. However, if you really want to remove it, you can specify that in Visual Studio. If you open the relevant project's property page (by pressing ALT + Enter when the project is focused), turn to the Build tab. Click the RadioButton named Specific warnings and enter the specific error code(s) that you want to supress in a comma separated list. You can find out more from the How to: Suppress Compiler Warnings page on MSDN.
UPDATE >>>
I believe that you are looking for the numerical error code number... for this, you should look in the Output Window of Visual Studio. If you don't already use this window when writing WPF, then I would strongly advise you to do so. However, these codes are not always shown in this window.
As an alternative, you can find descriptions and error codes in the C# Compiler Errors and Code Analysis for Managed Code Warnings pages on MSDN.
UPDATE 2 >>>
After doing a quick search online (which is really what you should have done), I found this page which seems about right: Compiler Warning (level 3) CS0219
I have 90 profiles,and a bunch of record types. Business wants to know who has access to a current record type (picklists..)
the only way i know how to do this, is to go profile by profile and check the Record Type Settings and see if it's listed.
is there a way to just generate a list or something? either through the point and click or apex?
EDIT:
I tried doing a search on the .profiles but eclipse doesn't support multi-line searches. Though it does support regexes i can't get my regular expression right, OR eclipse doesn't like me. Given my poor programming skills (and how I yell at my computer) it might be the latter. This is the string I want to search on.
<recordType>Event.RTEvent</recordType>
<visible>false</visible>
For something like this, I find that Notepad++ is a huge help. It supports multi-line searches if you enable the extended search mode (a simple radio button at the bottom of the Find menu), allowing you to grab line breaks (\r, \n, etc.). Pretty simple to do this across all of your profiles as well by navigating to the profiles folder of the Eclipse project in Windows Explorer, selecting all files, then right-click and select "Edit with Notepad++". Once they're all open, hit ctrl-F, enable the extended search mode, and search for something like this:
Event.RTEvent</recordType>\n <visible>false
Note that you may need to adjust the number of spaces after the \n depending on how far the data is indented. Click "Find All in All Opened Documents", and it'll give you a list of all occurrences of that string in your profiles files.
