I have a simple like button vue.js app for a website so that users can like or dislike an article. You can see the live site here:
https://thecitipost.com/?action=viewArticle&articleId=11
The code is working perfectly, but I need to be able to store the button click counters in my DB so they don't reset on page refresh. Can anyone shed some light on how to do this? I have scoured the internet and I can't find what I am looking for. Here is my code:
<div class="reaction-wrapper">
<div class="main">
<div id="app">
<!-- Reaction system start -->
<div class="reaction-container"><!-- container div for reaction system -->
<span class="reaction-btn"> <!-- Default like button -->
<span class="reaction-btn-emo like-btn-default"></span> <!-- Default like button emotion-->
<span class="reaction-btn-text">Like</span> <!-- Default like button text,(Like, wow, sad..) default:Like -->
<ul class="emojies-box"> <!-- Reaction buttons container-->
<li #click="likeIt" class="emoji emo-like" data-reaction="Like"></li>
<li #click="loveIt" class="emoji emo-love" data-reaction="Love"></li>
<li #click="HaHaIt" class="emoji emo-haha" data-reaction="HaHa"></li>
<li #click="WowIt" class="emoji emo-wow" data-reaction="Wow"></li>
<li #click="SadIt" class="emoji emo-sad" data-reaction="Sad"></li>
<li #click="AngryIt" class="emoji emo-angry" data-reaction="Angry"></li>
</ul>
</span>
<div class="like-stat"> <!-- Like statistic container-->
<span class="like-emo"> <!-- like emotions container -->
<span class="like-btn-like"></span> <!--given emotions like, wow, sad (default:Like) -->
</span>
<span class="like-details">Hover over the like button to see your options!</span>
</div>
<div id="likes-counter">
<ol>
<li>Likes:{{likes}}</li>
<li>Love:{{love}}</li>
<li>HaHa:{{HaHa}}</li>
<li>Wow:{{Wow}}</li>
<li>Sad:{{Sad}}</li>
<li>Angry:{{Angry}}</li>
</ol>
</div>
</div>
<!-- Reaction system end -->
</div>
</div>
</div>
<script src="https://unpkg.com/vue#2.0.7/dist/vue.js"></script>
<script>
new Vue({
el:'#app',
data:{
isHidden:true,
likes:0,
love:0,
HaHa:0,
Wow:0,
Sad:0,
Angry:0
},
methods:{
showIt:function(){
this.isHidden=false;
},
hideIt:function(){
this.isHidden=true;
},
likeIt:function(){
this.likes++;
},
loveIt:function(){
this.love++;
},
HaHaIt:function(){
this.HaHa++;
},
WowIt:function(){
this.Wow++;
},
SadIt:function(){
this.Sad++;
},
AngryIt:function(){
this.Angry++;
},
}
});
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

I've seen this question and seen it answered but not in any way I can use or understand. The question is very specific and simple but somehow the answers are a bit over my head.
All I want to do is have a very simple menu work. when i menu item is clicked, I need it to of course use my angular controller function to handle it. I want all of that on the angular side. It actually does work when I simply use the elements directly without declaratively making my own.
So this works just fine and my ng-click is successfuly calling my acceptedSelect() in my controller:
<core-menu>
<div ng-repeat="order in acceptedOrders" ng-click="acceptedSelect(order)">
<paper-item class="my-paper-item" >
<div class="order-list-item">
<div class="order-number">{{order.Order}}</div>
<div class="order-date"> {{order.Date}} </div>
<div style="clear: both"></div>
<div class="order-address">
{{order.Property}}
</div>
</div>
</paper-item>
</div>
</core-menu>
But i do the same thing by wrapping the paper element in a polymer-element, it doesn't work. So this will not work:
<polymer-element name="my-app" attributes="refresh">
<template>
<style>
...
</style>
<core-menu>
<div ng-repeat="order in acceptedOrders" ng-click="acceptedSelect(order)">
<paper-item class="my-paper-item" >
<div class="order-list-item">
<div class="order-number">{{order.Order}}</div>
<div class="order-date"> {{order.Date}} </div>
<div style="clear: both"></div>
<div class="order-address">
{{order.Property}}
</div>
</div>
</paper-item>
</div>
</core-menu>
</template>
<script>
Polymer('my-app', {
});
<my-app></my-app>
I'm just not sure what I can do to make this work. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Today I faced a strange problem for me in AngularJS.
In this example I have two ng-repeat in product (two or three images and the same number of colors) and one ng-repeat for pagination (irrelevant in this case I assume).
HTML:
<div class="item-wrapper" ng-repeat="item in pagedItems[currentPage]">
<div class="item">
<!-- Item image -->
<div class="item-image">
<ul>
<li ng-repeat="desc in item._source.description" ng-show="$first">
<img class="preview" ng-src="server/{{desc.smallImage.url}}">
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<!-- Item details -->
<div class="item-details">
<div class="product-colors">
<ul class="btn-group pull-right">
<li ng-repeat="color in item._source.description">
<img class="color" ng-src="server/{{color.thumbnailImage.url}}" />
</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</div>
All I wanted to do is that click on one of colors (img.color) changes corresponding img.preview visibility. In my attempts I was always able to changed every img.preview in whole list, not the one I clicked on.
MY ATTEMPTS:
HTML
<li ng-repeat="desc in item._source.description" ng-show="$index === selectedColor">
<li ng-repeat="color in item._source.description" ng-click="changeColor($index)">
JS (controller)
$scope.changeColor = function(idx) {
$scope.selectedColor = idx || 0; //default show always first img.preview from list
};
MY ATTEMPTS #2 (working)
HTML
<li><img class="preview" ng-src="server/{{desc[__selected === $index ? __num : 0].smallImage.url}}">
<li ng-repeat="color in item._source.description" ng-click="changeColor($index, key)">
JS (controller)
$scope.changeColor = function(idx, key) {
$scope.__selected = key;
$scope.__num = idx;
};
This might be quite simple:
Considering desc and color will be referring to same object as they are of the same source.
So, desc and color should be identical and setting a property on either of them supposed to reflect on the other.
Make the changes as follow and try, havent tested though:
<li ng-repeat="desc in item._source.description" ng-show="item.__selected ? desc==item.__selected : $first">
and
<li ng-repeat="color in item._source.description">
<img class="color" ng-src="server/{{color.thumbnailImage.url}}" ng-click="item.__selected = color" />
</li>
I've got the following markup:
<li ng-repeat="month in months">
<!-- NOTE THAT THIS IS WORKING IN ALL BROWSERS -->
<div class="cm-month-grid" ng-style="{width:{{month.pos.width}}+'px', left:{{month.pos.left}}+'px'}">
<div class="cm-month-title" title="{{month.date.format('DD.MM.YY')}} {{month.pos | json}}">{{month.date.format('MMM.YY')}}</div>
<div class="cm-month-border"></div>
</div>
</li>
that runs fine, but this is not:
<li ng-repeat="unit in units | filter: filter.text">
<div class="cm-periods">
<!-- BUT THIS IS NOT WORKING... WHY....
<div ng-repeat="period in unit.periods" class="cm-period" ng-style="{width:{{period.pos.width}}+'px', left:{{period.pos.left}}+'px'}" data-period="{{.}}}">
<span >{{period.start.format('DD.MM.YY')}}</span>
<div style="background: pink;" ng-style="{width:{{period.pos.width}}+'px', left:{{period.pos.left}}+'px'}">jalla</div>
</div>-->
<!-- WORKING IN CHROME ONLY -->
<div ng-repeat="period in unit.periods" class="cm-period" style="width:{{period.pos.width}}px; left:{{period.pos.left}}px;" data-period="{{.}}}">
<span>{{period.start.format('DD.MM.YY')}}</span>
</div>
<!-- -->
</div>
</li>
Full example could be seen here: http://plnkr.co/edit/aZsZEM?p=preview
I know there are issues with style and IE, that's why I'm using the ngStyle, but it does not update it style (try clicking on the zoom in the full example in IE)
Thanks for any help
Larsi
You are using ng-style with double curly brackets. As far as I know that's not valid in an expression.
Try this:
<div ng-repeat="period in unit.periods" class="cm-period" ng-style="{'width':period.pos.width+'px', 'left':period.pos.left+'px'}" data-period="{{.}}}">
<span >{{period.start.format('DD.MM.YY')}}</span>
<div style="background: pink;" ng-style="{'width':period.pos.width+'px', 'left':period.pos.left+'px'}">jalla</div>
</div>
</div>
Hmm, still looks messy to me. But, HEY! it zooms! (in FF)

I'm new to angular and was wondering how to tackle the following situation. I'm using angular with jquery mobile and am creating a one page app. When the app loads, I have it create pages or divs inside the body tag. I have two types of pages, "typical pages" and "video pages" but I want to use one object to create both page types. I want to use one object because I also use that object to create my menu and I don't want to have to edit multiple objects.
My issue is, I want to create a "typical page" for each element in the object but I only want to create a "video page" for each object that doesn't have "videoPage: false". I tried using ng-if on the "video page" ng-repeater (see html below) but it doesn't seem to be working. Can I use the ng-if on a ng-repeater?
I have the following data/object:
function App($scope){
$scope.pages = [
{
id: "intro",
title: "Intro",
videoPage: false
},{
id: "activeStretches",
title: "Active Stretches by Area"
},{
id: "passiveStretches",
title: "Passive Stretches by Area"
}
];
}
And the html:
<body ng-app ng-controller="App">
<div data-role="page" id="{{page.id}}" ng-repeat="page in pages">
<div data-role="header" data-theme="h">
<a data-rel="back" data-icon="arrow-l">Back</a>
<h1>{{page.title}}</h1>
</div>
<div data-role="content">
<div class="content-side">
<ul data-role="listview" data-inset="true">
<li ng-repeat="menu in pages" data-theme="{{menu.title == page.title && 'h'}}">
{{menu.title}}
</li>
</ul>
<div class="logo"></div>
</div>
<div class="content-main">
Typical Page
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div data-role="page" id="{{page.id}}Video" ng-repeat="page in pages" ng-if="page.videoPage">
<div data-role="header" data-theme="h">
<a data-rel="back" data-icon="arrow-l">Back</a>
<h1 class="vidTitle"></h1>
</div>
<div data-role="content">
<div class="content-side">
<ul data-role="listview" data-inset="true">
<li ng-repeat="menu in pages" data-theme="{{menu.title == page.title && 'h'}}">
{{menu.title}}
</li>
</ul>
<div class="logo"></div>
</div>
<div class="content-main">
Video Page
</div>
</div>
</div>
</body>
ng-if is new as of 1.1.15 so make sure you're using a new (currently unstable) version of Angular.
And, yes, you can mix ng-if with ng-repeat. Here's a fiddle showing it in action (using 1.2): http://jsfiddle.net/rbQry/1/
Note this line (switch the ng-if to "true" and the repeat comes back):
<li ng-repeat="phone in phones | filter:query" ng-if="false">
I have a page where I have included the (Twitter) bootstrap.
On this page I have a prefectly working accordion and within that accordion I have a collapsable div. See the code below:
<div class="accordion" id="checkListAccordion">
<div ng-repeat="item in items" class="accordion-group">
<div class="accordion-heading">
<a class="accordion-toggle" data-toggle="collapse" data-parent="#checkListAccordion" href="#collapse{{item.$$hashKey}}">{{item.name}}</a>
</div>
<div id="collapse{{item.$$hashKey}}" class="accordion-body collapse">
<div class="accordion-inner">
<div class="container-fluid">
<div class="row-fluid">
<div class="badges span12">
<span class="badge badge-info" data-toggle="collapse" data-target=".info{{item.$$hashKey}}"><i class="icon-info-sign icon-white"></i></span>
<div class="info{{item.$$hashKey}} collapse in">
{{item.info}}
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="row-fluid">
<div class="span12">
some text
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Now, when I click the info badge, the div with the corresponding class is folding open. But it never folds back when I click it again. Only when I wrap in in a navbar and navbar-inner, it folds back....but of course, I don't want that.
Any help on this?
When i add a controler to your code all seems to work as expected:
angular.module('plunker',[]);
function AccordionDemoCtrl($scope) {
$scope.oneAtATime = true;
$scope.items = [
{
name: "Dynamic Group Header - 1",
info: "Dynamic Group Body - 1"
},
{
name: "Dynamic Group Header - 2",
info: "Dynamic Group Body - 2"
}
];
}
See also: http://plnkr.co/nX4kvMThA0bYwcbXZS7t May be there will be a problem with the versions you use? I used jQuery 1.9.1, Twitter Bootstrap 2.3.1 and angularJS 1.0.7 (see: Angular JS Bootstrap Accordian Example).
btw have you consider to use UI Bootstrap (http://angular-ui.github.io/bootstrap/) see: http://plnkr.co/u7l6nrkPZM8ZJtA08RNP (thanks to winkerVSbecks who answered Howto set template variables in Angular UI Bootstrap? (accordion))
