I am trying to run code in the developer console. From the "execute anonymous window". How do i access the case written in the console from the child window.
it shows the attached error when trying to execute
I am still getting the same error. screenshot below. Please let me know if the screenshots are visible otherwise i will upload somewhere else.
"Test" is a name of a built-in apex class used when writing unit tests. It's bad idea to name your own classes like the standard ones, it can lead to "fun" scenarios like "integer account = 5; sobject a = new account();"
https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.234.0.apexref.meta/apexref/apex_methods_system_test.htm
Make new class with similar body, delete that one and try your code again.
And since your method is static, you can do MyClass.myTest(), you don't need "new"

When opening my ios app via an applink, as specified by associated domains feature, the AppArg is null.
The consecutive call of start() method, as described in this issue, does not occur.
In my case, start() is called only once, with a null AppArg, and that's it.
The first thing a do, in the start() method, is call
Display.getInstance().getProperty("AppArg",null);
This works fine when opening the app via a custom scheme, but not when opening via an applink.
Note: I use the ios.glAppDelegateBody and ios.afterFinishLaunching build hints to handle app open via push notification. I figured this might interfere with AppArg reading so I removed those temporarily and tried again, but to no avail.
Currently, the only solution I see is to write some native code and try to get the opening url this way, but I'd very much like for the AppArg to work as it states.
I've tested on iphone 6s with ios 15.1.
Update 3:
This problem occurs due to the call of the facebook sdk in the didFinishLaunchingWithOptions which causes the method to return NO, and that prevents continueUserActivity to execute and retrieve the launch url. The offending code is this:
return [[FBSDKApplicationDelegate sharedInstance] application:application
didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:launchOptions];
This code gets executed if the facebook.appIdbuild hint is present in the codenameone settings.
After I removed it, things started working.
However, you won't be able to do this if you actually use facebook connect.
Update 2
I added the following snippet to the apple-app-site-association file hosted on my domain, as per the documentation here.
"activitycontinuation": {
"apps": [ <id of my app> ]
}
It didn't work still.
The same documentation also states the an associated domain entitlement like this: activitycontinuation:example.com should be added. So I added it to the ios.associatedDomains build hint, along with the applinks, looking like this:
ios.associatedDomains=applinks:mydomain.com,activitycontinuation:mydomain.com
It still didn't work. The build suceeded, but I'm not sure that codename one is actually doing something with activitycontinuation service.
So, the problem is still not solved!
Update:
So, the flow start,stop,start only happens when the app is in background and gets opened via an applink click, and both times start is called with the AppArg populated with the applink. All well in this case.
However, if the app is closed, and opepend via applink click, start is called only once and the AppArg is null. Problem!
The method shouldApplicationHandleURL is never called. I implemented it on the main app class, returning true.
I have also tried adding native code to try to get the applink, for the case when the app was previously closed. I tried to add the code below to the glAppDelegateBody build hint, but the build failed complaining that the continueUserActivity is duplicate. The code used was something like this:
- (BOOL)application:(UIApplication *)application
continueUserActivity:(NSUserActivity *)userActivity
restorationHandler:(void (^)(NSArray *restorableObjects))restorationHandler {
NSURL *url = userActivity.webpageURL;
// Handle url
return YES;
}
Currently, I'm running out of ideas. So, please, help. Thank you.
iOS uses a different mechanism for dealing with applinks than it does for custom app URL schemes, so it is likely that there is a race condition here -where start() is being called before the URL is provided to the app.
Try implementing the com.codename1.system.URLCallback interface in your main lifecycle class and implement the shouldApplicationHandleURL method. This should be called when an applink is processed.
The solution, in my case, was to remove the facebook.appId build hint from the condenameone_settings.properties. I wasn't using facebook anymore, but forgot about the build hint. After removing it, things started working.
Found about this here.
By adding the following code to the ios.afterFinishLaunching build hint, the AppArg will be populated at start with the app launchUrl (if any), regardless of the fact that facebook sdk is used or not:
NSDictionary *activityDictionary = [launchOptions objectForKey:UIApplicationLaunchOptionsUserActivityDictionaryKey];
if (activityDictionary) {
NSUserActivity *userActivity = [activityDictionary valueForKey:#"UIApplicationLaunchOptionsUserActivityKey"];
if (userActivity != nil) {
if ([NSUserActivityTypeBrowsingWeb isEqualToString:userActivity.activityType] && userActivity.webpageURL != nil) {
JAVA_OBJECT launchUrlStr = fromNSString(CN1_THREAD_GET_STATE_PASS_ARG [userActivity.webpageURL absoluteString]);
JAVA_OBJECT appArgKey = fromNSString(CN1_THREAD_GET_STATE_PASS_ARG #"AppArg");
JAVA_OBJECT displayInstObj = com_codename1_ui_Display_getInstance__(CN1_THREAD_GET_STATE_PASS_SINGLE_ARG);
com_codename1_ui_Display_setProperty___java_lang_String_java_lang_String(CN1_THREAD_GET_STATE_PASS_ARG displayInstObj, appArgKey, launchUrlStr);
}
}
}
I want to limit the keywords that are reported in the output.xml / log.html
Something like, I don't want to log keywords like SET VARIABLE or QUERY, etc., but log only specific keywords that create a meaningful test report
checked multiple questions on StackOverflow
How can I prevent the logging of all keywords except Log keyword in robot framework?
How can I tell robot framework not to log a keyword?
This provides a very close answer at the end, but it is not working and getting into the LOGGER is perhaps not my cup of tea
Have tried FlattenKeywords, removekeywords options, but they dont completely help, as I need more dynamic control over the logging
Tried the SET LOG LEVEL keyword also, but that just removes the information within the keyword, does not remove the whole keyword
Expected results should log only the specific keywords that i mention in the script, something like only the checkpoints are reported and not all the steps
If --removekeywords and --flattenkeywords don't work for you, I can think of two possible solutions.
For one, you could write your own script to filter out all the keywords you don't want from output.xml, and then generate the log.html and report.html after you've run the filter.
You could also create your own log file. You can create a listener that can decide at runtime whether a keyword should be logged or not. You can then write the keyword information to your own custom log file.
I'm trying to modify one of the FireDAC sample projects in order to use an existing SQLite file as the database source. The sample works fine unmodified and connects to its database. However, I can't figure out where the database it connects to is specified, in order to change it.
According to the documentation, there should be a Database property on the TFDPhysSQLiteDriverLink component. There isn't: it doesn't exist. I even converted the form to text and looked through all components' customized properties, and there's no path defined anywhere. Nor is there in code - the sample is very small and there's no path defined at all.
The other option on the documentation is to include the FireDAC.Phys.SQLite unit, although that doesn't explain how to set the database, since as far as I can tell that unit just includes the component. And when I search for Database properties (see attached image) none of them in any class in that unit seem to be quite what I'm after. The closest is a string that's for a backup component - I doubt that's what I need. There is a SQLiteDatabase property in the TFDPhysSQLiteConnection class but that's read-only.
List of all Database properties defined in the FireDAC.Phys.SQLite unit
I also tried creating a temporary connection definition at runtime, by double-clicking the TFDConnection component. That only gives an exception:
Exception double-clicking the TFDConnection component
The only solution to this I found is in the XE5 documentation, where it says to set the $(PUBLICDOCUMENTSDIR) environment variable. I already had to do that to get the demo to run (previously, it threw the same exception on the line FDConnection1.Connected := True;; it doesn't now, the demo runs perfectly at runtime.) That change obviously hasn't affected the designer, and I don't even know if I'm looking in the right place, since after all the documentation talks about setting the Database property.
So I'm stumped. Where does it set the database? It's not in the DFM or any streamed properties; it's not in the property defined by the documentation (TFDPhysSQLiteDriverLink.Database doesn't exist, nor does anything that looks like it); it's not in the TFDConnection designtime editor (even though it throws an exception, a file specified as a property here would appear in the streamed DFM, I'd think); it's not in code; ...where else can it be?
(I have never used FireDAC before so am a complete noob, btw. I'm self-teaching via the documentation and samples.)
You don't actually need a TFDPhysSQLiteDriverLink for a minimalist FireDAC project, and using one rather confuses the issue if you're trying to make a connection to a database for the first time.
Try this:
Make a note of the name including path of a Sqlite db.
Start a new VCL project and drop a TFDconnection, TFDQuery, TDataSource & TDBGrid onto its form and connection them up. Set the TDFQuery's Sql to select * from some table you know exists in the db.
Right-click the TFDConnection and select Connection editor from the pop-up.
Set the DriverID to SQLite and insert your db name into the Database Value box.
Open the FDQuery.
If you compile and run the project, you'll get an exception telling you a class factory for a TFDGUIxWaitCursor is missing (this is the sort of thing I love about FireDAC), but that's easily fixed by dropping one onto your form. Notice that you don't have to connect it using the Object Inspector to any of the other FD components.
After that, you can add a TFDPhysSQLiteDriverLink and set its DriverID to the same as for the TFDConnection.
I ussualy roll my own class and handle the OnBeforeConnect event
Something like this
procedure TSQLiteConnection.SQLiteConnectionBeforeConnect(Sender: TObject);
begin
if not(TFile.Exists(DatabaseFilePath)) then
Params.Values['OpenMode'] := 'CreateUTF16'
else
Params.Values['OpenMode'] := 'ReadWrite';
Params.Values['Database'] := DatabaseFilePath;
DriverName := 'SQLite';
end;
The DatabaseFilePath is just a string field of the class, so basically you can put any file path there
TSQLiteConnection is, of course, a TFDConnection descendant
Im trying to use Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word._Document.Close() in a .net 3.5 windows form app.
No matter how much I search here and on Google I cannot find the correct parameters to put in the Close method.
I am using version 14.0.0.0 of Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word and I would like to close the document without saving and ideally ensure that the application can isolate the document thread so that users can still open word documents outside the running application.
See the Close method of the Document class described in MSDN. If you need to omit the parameter and use the default value - pass the Type.Missing parameter.
Try this:
object doNotSaveChanges = Word.WdSaveOptions.wdDoNotSaveChanges;
object missing = System.Reflection.Missing.Value;
_Document.Close(ref doNotSaveChanges, ref missing, ref missing);
This is the source
I'm not sure if you'll need the middle line or not. It's not from the original source it's from here
I am looking for something very simple. It can use the Selenium IDE recording tool, but it does not allow me to pick what kind of locators I get.
I want to use:
driver.findElement(By.className(str))
to locate things. All I need is something which watches which UI elements on a web page get clicked and writes out the class attributes of those tags.
If I use the Selenium IDE recording (and export to the right type of thing), I get:
#Test
public void testNav() throws Exception {
driver.get(baseUrl + "/");
driver.findElement(By.name("3.1.1.5.1.1")).clear();
driver.findElement(By.name("3.1.1.5.1.1")).sendKeys("dan");
driver.findElement(By.name("3.1.1.5.1.5")).click();
driver.findElement(By.linkText("Products")).click();
driver.findElement(By.linkText("Categories")).click();
driver.findElement(By.linkText("Create a Category")).click();
driver.findElement(By.linkText("Cancel")).click();
driver.findElement(By.linkText("Products")).click();
driver.findElement(By.cssSelector("a.DisplayAdminProductsLink")).click();
driver.findElement(By.linkText("Product1")).click();
There are problems with this. First, it is not give me any By.className() calls. Why? Those first 3 calls will not help me. The framework I am using puts arbitrary things into the name. How can I get it to see the class attribute?
There actually are unique words in the class attribute of all of the above tags. I design my apps so that this is so. Yet it will not use them.
Earlier I asked:
Why is it doing a "driver.findElement().click()"? This is fragile and does not
end up working.
What I need is:
elt = driver.waitFor(By.className("c")); elt.click();
This will work reproducibly.....
I am considering to be removed from the question, as the findElement() code does work. You need to set a general time-out on the driver. It is not very obvious that this can be done, but it can.
So, continuing on....
I can go to the "Options" and change the order of the "Locator Builders" in eclipse. I can put "css" at the top. Then I get:
driver.findElement(By.cssSelector("input[name=\"3.1.1.5.1.1\"]")).clear();
driver.findElement(By.cssSelector("input[name=\"3.1.1.5.1.1\"]")).sendKeys("dan");
driver.findElement(By.cssSelector("input[name=\"3.1.1.5.1.5\"]")).click();
The tags are like:
<input class="form-control LoginUsernameField" ... />
But it does not see the class attribute.... Or I can do this manually.
Selenium looks for a unique identifier to identify elements in a webpage. classNames are a very less desired option for this purpose as they are generally not unique. Ids and names on the other hand are generally unique. This might be the reason why Selenium IDE is not selecting classNames and going for other identifiers.
Selenium IDE records user actions. You would have clicked on the element for Selenium IDE to identify it and that is why you are getting driver.findElement().click().
If you want to wait for element to wait you can try implicit wait.
When you want to use driver.findElement(By.className(str)), are you sure that there is one and only one element in the webpage that is associated with a className? If that is the case you can modify the webdriver code manually to use className.
