Start > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Turn Off. Or-
You can add exception for your program. Here the documentation https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/add-an-exclusion-to-windows-security-811816c0-4dfd-af4a-47e4-c301afe13b26

CefSharp: How to allow/disable Camera/Microphone on runtime?

In my WinForms App I have a number of CefSharp browser windows.
In one of these windows resp. forms Cam & Mic should be always allowed, without asking for permission because in this window I know all websites displayed here - it's all safe.
In other windows potentially "the internet" is displayed. Here Mic & Cam MUST be switched off for security reasons.
But there's no such configuration at runtime, unfortunately, and there are by now only 4 votes for set-permission-at-runtime Feature Request (https://bitbucket.org/chromiumembedded/cef/issues/2582/allow-run-time-handling-of-media-access)
However, I urgently need a solution to effectively close the potential security leak.
Does anyone have any other idea or trick for how to disable Mic & Cam access effectively?

Wpf application doesn't start at startup

I have developed a wpf app and want it to run whenever the computer starts up.However I have been unable to do so......I have tried editing registry like this answer...
Launch Window on Windows startup
Interesting thing is the app does autostart when there is internet connection. It doesn't when there is no internet. I do need internet connection at some point of time to sync the data to internet application. However this should not have affected the startup of the application.
Any ideas???
I guess you can set up a timer, and after several minutes, check out your internet, if the internet is ok, then run your application continuely. If not, reset the timer, and check again.
Go to the run line (Windows + R). Type "shell:common startup" press "enter". Place a shortcut in that folder and restart your machine (depending on what the *.exe is doing you may need to set its properties to run as administrator).

Diagnosing why a custom shell on Windows 10 IoT gives black screen

I am configuring Windows 10 Enterprise (IoT) to run a custom shell, but running into the "Black screen with nothing other than a cursor" phenomena.
My application - a .Net4 Winforms app - is installed and runs fine from the desktop.
I can launch it as a custom shell via a batch file as per the comments here: How to run an application as shell replacement on Windows 10 Enterprise
But setting my app as a custom shell, I just get the black screen.
I note the comments in the above link about applications being signed, but I have tried two mini test applications (also .net winforms), one signed, one not, and both run fine as custom shells. (My application has several dependencies, not all of which are signed, so to sign it would mean going through the ILMerge mill or similar which I would rather avoid if I can.)
I don't expect people to be able to tell me why my app doesn't run (although that would be nice!) but I am looking for ways of diagnosing this. Looking in event logs, etc, is yielding no information whatsoever. My app keeps its own event log, which is not showing any evidence of the app starting.
Thanks in advance
Problem solved:
If a shell application requires elevated permissions, UAC must be turned off. Turning off notifications via the control panel is NOT sufficient, as UAC is still running in the background - it just doesn't notify you! To completely turn off UAC, edit registry entry:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System and set the DWORD value EnableLUA to 0
Evidence of UAC behaviour can be found in the windows event log at:
Applications And Services Logs -> Microsoft -> Windows ->UAC

Unable to Deploy WP7 SDK Application on Windows Phone 8 Through VS2012

I have Registered my device for developer.
But after choosing device in VS2012 and start deploying , It Gives error .
Unable to install application. The maximum number of developer applications on this phone has been reached. Please uninstall a developer application and try again.
I am new to deployment on device . Please suggest .
Do you happen to have multiple Windows Phone 8 devices? It turns out that if you register two devices under the same name, this problem arises. I had registered two Windows Phone Devices for development, but I hadn't given them a unique name (they were both named the default, which is Windows Phone, I think). On the first device, I had multiple test apps installed and, obviously, on the second device, nothing was installed, hence my frustration regarding the error. I did the following to make it work:
Remove the phone(s) from the dev portal,
Unregister both devices using Windows Phone Developer Registration.
Rename the devices, making sure their names are not the same.
Re-register the phones again, now with new, unique names.
I hope it works for you as well.
Uninstall the unwanted applications from the device.
Restart the device
Try to deploy the solution. It will work now.
It means you have installed three(3) testing app. windows phone have limit of max 3 app installation for debug.
Uninstall one of your previously installed application.
Now deploy your new application again.
Hope will work now.
