Does anyone know how to do an interactive checkbox in LaTeX that can be crossed when it is clicked? Right now I can get it to work with with a checkbox that glows red when checked like this:
with
\usepackage{hyperref}
\begin{document}
\begin{Form}
\CheckBox[name=mycheckbox]{This is a check box:}
\end{Form}
\end{document}
but I'm not sure how you make it a cross instead of a glow when checked
In theory you can use the checkboxsymbol option to choose which symbol from pifont you want to use - but be aware that not all pdf viewer will display this correctly. The following screenshot was taken with adobe reader.
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{hyperref}
\begin{document}
\begin{Form}
\CheckBox[name=mycheckbox,checkboxsymbol=\ding{53}]{This is a check box:}
\end{Form}
\end{document}
Mac preview will show the default checkmark instead, other viewers might show nothing at all.

My browser extension is always showing actionbar icon. But I want to browser_action displayed only on matches content scripts. Because my webextension users not often use it, so i want to hide icon for dont irritate they.
Use a pageAction, it can do what you want: hide and show when necessary. It will show in the address bar.
The functionality is very similar to a browserAction.

I have a very simple assignment but for some reason it is not working. I am using the Community Builder feature in Salesforce. All I want to do is increase the spacing between the text and button(the orange marking). See picture below. I have been clicking to the "Page Editor" icon to make changes to the layout. On the side, where it says "Rich Text," I have pressed enter probably a 1000 times to increase the space but the button is in the same position. Can anyone please help on how I can increase the space between button and text?
Thank you
For Winter '17, simply pressing enter to create a new line break appears to work as you expect.
For non Winter '17, you could try this:
Click on the Rich Content Editor (or Rich Text) Lighting Component in the Community Builder
Click Source
At the very top of the source, you'll see <p>, change this to <p style="padding-bottom: 10px;">
If you want something like this to happen more than once, you could also create a custom Lighting Component that allows you to pick how much padding you want.
In my existing system Krypton button is been used. I want to display image instead of text in the button. My current Buttonstyle is set as "LowProfile". I am confused about the button style mode in tool kit also. I couldnt find any relevant documents for the ButtonStyle.
So my questions are:
Where can I find the good document/tutorial for the krypton tool kit?
How to display image in the krypton Button?
Image can be added in StateCommon -> Back -> Image -> {Select your image}
Also to visualize the image set Draw to True
Krypton is now open source.
https://github.com/ComponentFactory/Krypton
You can find some examples of KryptonButton in the KryptonExplorer.exe and KryptonButtonExamples.exe demo projects.
Source code for these projects are available here:
https://github.com/ComponentFactory/Krypton/tree/master/Source/Krypton%20Toolkit%20Examples
In these projects, the image is added with Properties, Values, Image, {Select your image}
Otherwise, you can also use: Properties, StateCommon, Back, Image, {Select your image}
The difference between Values and StateCommon seems to be "some padding" and therefore the image is not directly on the border/edge of the button.
Is it possible to enter a CSS selector into firebug and for it to highlight the corresponding element(s)?
Thanks
Yes.
Go to the CSS panel in Firebug.
On the right hand side, there is a console that lets you try selectors. It will prompt you with "Try a selector....". It displays all matches in the right hand window and lets you highlight them on hover.

The search box in Firebug aka Firefox Inspector (Ctrl+F or Cmd+F), as suggested by Madbreaks in the question comments, really works with any complex CSS selection! It says "Search HTML" on the UI, which is a bit misleading, but matches CSS selectors, it's not just a simple text search.
Tested on FF v33.0
I have built a HTML email newsletter containing an animated GIF Christmas Ecard which is being sent to all employees of a company who exclusively use Lotus Notes.
The problem I'm having is that they are receiving the email fine, but the GIF isn't animating.
Any idea if there's a way to get this working?
You could ensure that the first frame of the gif looks nice so that the animation is an 'added benefit' rather than a requirement.
That they had one come through last year seems amazing to me. But if that is actually the truth it might have had something to do with the file size being too large. You should try to keep them under 40kb
Click Create in the toolbar above the email message. Click on the Picture option and then choose GIF from the pull-down menu. Go to the folder location of the animated GIF that you want to embed in the email. Click and highlight the file. Click the Import button to add the animated GIF.
