How to use Find in Files dialog in IntelliJ? - file

I am using IntelliJ 2020.2.3 Ultimate Edition and want to search for any occurrence of some string and it works well as long as I do not use the file mask. Not using the mask I get several hits in any kind of files but when I select a file mask, let's say .yml, I get NO hits although it was found previously in *.yml files when I do not use the file mask.
How can I achieve to get hits using the file mask?

I just checked this with my 2020.2.3 Community Edition and it is working when the filter is set as "*.yaml" as well as without any filters. (Sorry, I do not have an Ultimate Edition installed with me).
*.yaml
No filters

I works as excpeted in IntelliJ IDEA Community and Ultimate Edition.
I guess, that your mask is set to *.yaml and the expected hit is in a *.yml file or vice versa.
Try to use a comma separated list of file mask to search in both file types:
Furthermore, make sure the filter is deaktivated and set to Anywhere:

Excel: apply conditional formatting if cell contains one of x strings

What I'm trying to do should be quite simple but I am getting error messages saying that conditional formatting doesn't accept this method.
So I am looking for a fix or an alternative.
What I have is a list of search texts for phone faults
screen broken
wifi not working
bluetooth dead
the dooflip isnt working
etc.
I have also set up a number of common keywords
screen
wifi
bluetooth
By comparing these two we can see that the last one doesn't adhere to any of my common keywords, and so I want it highlighted/ copied somewhere etc. so I can view and take any action.
So far I have attempted to set up conditional formatting to search the terms for the keywords and if it doesn't contain any then highlight it.
=ISERROR(SEARCH({"wifi", "bluetooth", "screen"},$H$117))
When using this I get informed that conditional formatting does not support arrays (it works fine if I only specify one search term).
If i create a table with all the keywords in and use the following it works, however it will only find direct mataches, and wont search for the word in the cell string
=ISERROR(MATCH(<cell_to_change_colour_of>, <keyword_table>,0))
So is there another way of doing this?
my answer requires MOREFUNC addon*
=REGEX.COMP(A1,"wifi|bluetooth|screen",FALSE)
this will return true if any of the words appear anywhere in cell A1. FALSE in the formula stipulates that it is not case sensitive.
Unfortunately due to Excell's stupid rules it will not work directly in Conditional Formatting box. You will need to place it in a helper column, and point the conditional formatting rule to that column.

Morefunc Addon is a free library of 66 new worksheet functions.

how to determine which profiles are assigned to a record type

I have 90 profiles, and a bunch of record types. Business wants to know who has access to a current record type (picklists..)
the only way i know how to do this, is to go profile by profile and check the Record Type Settings and see if it's listed.
is there a way to just generate a list or something? either through the point and click or apex?
EDIT:
I tried doing a search on the .profiles but eclipse doesn't support multi-line searches. Though it does support regexes i can't get my regular expression right, OR eclipse doesn't like me. Given my poor programming skills (and how I yell at my computer) it might be the latter. This is the string I want to search on.
<recordType>Event.RTEvent</recordType>
<visible>false</visible>
For something like this, I find that Notepad++ is a huge help. It supports multi-line searches if you enable the extended search mode (a simple radio button at the bottom of the Find menu), allowing you to grab line breaks (\r, \n, etc.). Pretty simple to do this across all of your profiles as well by navigating to the profiles folder of the Eclipse project in Windows Explorer, selecting all files, then right-click and select "Edit with Notepad++". Once they're all open, hit ctrl-F, enable the extended search mode, and search for something like this:
Event.RTEvent</recordType>\n <visible>false
Note that you may need to adjust the number of spaces after the \n depending on how far the data is indented. Click "Find All in All Opened Documents", and it'll give you a list of all occurrences of that string in your profiles files.

Difficulty with filename and filemime when using Migrate module

I am using the Drupal 7 Migrate module to create a series of nodes from JPG and EPS files. I can get them to import just fine. But I notice that when I am done importing them if I look at the nodes it creates, none of the attached filefield and thumbnail files contain filename information.
Upon inspecting the file_managed table I see that both the filename and filemime fields are empty for ONLY the files that I attached via the migrate module. This also creates an issue with downloading the files.
Now I think the problem has to do with the fact that I am using "file_link" instead of "file_copy" as the file operation I specify. The problem is I am importing around 2TB (thats Terabytes) of image files. We had to put in a special request with Rackspace just to get access to that much disk space on our server. So I can't go around copying from one directory to the next because of space issues. So "file_link" seems like the obvious choice.
Now you probably want to see how I am doing this exactly, so here is the code snippet:
$jpg_arguments = MigrateFileFieldHandler::arguments(NULL,
'file_link', FILE_EXISTS_RENAME, 'en', array('source_field' => 'jpg_name'),
array('source_field' => 'jpg_filename'), array('source_field' => 'jpg_filename'));
$this->addFieldMapping('field_image', 'jpg_uri')
->arguments($jpg_arguments);
As you can see I am specifying no base path (just like the beer.inc example file does). I have set file_link, the language, and the source fields for the description, title, and alt.
It is able to generate thumbnails from the JPGs. But still missing those columns of data in the db table. I traced through the functions the best I could but I don't see what is causing this. I tried running the uri in the table through the functions that generate the filename and the filemime and they output just fine. It is like something is removing just those segments of data.
Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I am using the Drupal 7 Migrate module version 2.2. It is running on Drupal 7.8.
Thanks,
Patrick
Ok, so I have found the answer to yet another question of mine. This is actually an issue with the migrate module itself. The issue is documented here. I will be repealing this bounty (as soon as I figure out how).

Exporting SSRS reports to PDF when they contain Wingdings with char value above 127

In Report Builder 2008 I use code such as
=Chr(224)
in textbox expressions to get Wingdings chars such as the up, down, straight arrows, etc. I run the report and it looks fab on screen, as well as exported to Excel.
But if I export to PDF, I've noticed any Wingdings with character values above 127 do not display inside the PDF correctly (just an empty little box.) Inside Acrobat, I go to File-Properties, look at the Fonts tab and I see that Wingdings is successfully embedded, but the encoding is set to ANSI. (If I export a document from OpenOffice using their excellent PDF export feature, the encoding says "Built in" and the Wingdings characters all look great.)
Wingdings under Chr(127) look fine on the SSRS reports. Any idea if I can do anything about the higher chars?
Thanks,
Bill
Workaround:
I wanted to use an empty square and a square with a tickbox in it.
Originally I was using windings characters 254 and 168.
Basically try to use characters below 128, and don't forget that there's wingdings 2, 3 and webdings. I found Wingdings 2 characters 82 and Wingdings 111 would work instead.
Also, you can mix and match multiple fonts by setting an expression for the font property of your expression.
Note for others: If your looking for a basic tick for your document you can switch to WebDings and use a lower case "a". This exports to PDF correctly as a tick.
I got an answer over at the official Sql Server Reporting Service forum.
The long and short of it: it's a bug. I'll be filing an issue as Andre Milbrandt suggested.
I faced the same issue with Chinese locale. Then i fixed that issue by installing Chinese language on server (where SQL reporting services are running).
Also same issue fixed by installing SQL CU6 update (without installing language pack). Here is the link for that update http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2489376

Macros in SQL Server Management Studio

Is there any way to implement text editing macros in SSMS? I would, e.g. like to convert the the code as shown below, but with a key-press, not a long-winded regex search and replace.
This:
INSERT INTO [TABLE]
([fieldOne]
,[fieldTwo])
VALUES
(<fieldOne, datetime,>
,<fieldTwo, real(24,0))
Must become this:
INSERT INTO [TABLE]
([fieldOne]
,[fieldTwo])
VALUES
(#fieldOne
,#fieldTwo)
I know SSMS doesn't natively support this, but I also know that it is extensible, if undocumented, and there is also room for a totally external application that will take copied text, transform it, and paste it back, without having to open an editor, paste, edit, copy, and paste back to SSMS.
Editing the stored templates is not an option, as these templates are dynamically generated, and using Ctrl+Shift+M is not an option either, as I still have to type each parameter name, but without the convenience of copying and pasting in the query editor.
There is no SSMS solution! I am looking for some sort of external voodoo that can help me do this.
What about an AutoHotKey script?
Depending on the complexity of your templates, you could either
use AutoHotKey to play back the keystrokes
needed for the regex search and
replace, or
copy the template to
the clipboard and manipulate it
directly within AutoHotKey before
pasting it back.
I'm sure the first option will work. I've not tried the second.
This question gives an indication of how an AutoHotKey script can be written to listen for keyboard chords.
If you are using SSMS 2005 upwards it has in built support for templates. It isn't exactly full blown macro's, but non the less it is still pretty useful.
The syntax is exactly as you have shown in your first code snippet and you simply press Ctrl+Shift+M to bring up a dialog box that prompts you for the values to go into your bits enclosed in angle brackets.
SQL server generates script in this format if you right click on a table and select "Script Table as" then pick either the insert, update or delete option.
You can also create your own custom templates, or modify one of the existing built in ones (click on View -> Template explorer to get access to the other inbuilt templates).
There is a short article on MSDN that explains how to get started with templates.
Was looking for something else, but found this question. If you're still looking for something, try SSMS toolpack: http://www.ssmstoolspack.com/ It has macros and a bunch of other neat things. And it's free!
For SSMS 2016 you can use my Visual Commander extension. It supports macros recording/playback and custom C#/VB commands for editor text manipulations.
First code is template from old-good MS Query Analyzer. Shortcut to filling is Ctrl+M (but I'm not sure, maybe it is Ctrl+Shift+M).
There should be same feature in newer SSMS.
I usually copy the code into another editor (Notepad++, or Delphi /RAD Studio editor), do my macro stuff, and then paste it back into SSMS.
