Pentaho DI Connection driver issues

I'm having issues adding a MSSQL SERVER connection to Pentaho Data Intergration.
I tried the following:
I have downloaded the latest jdbc drivers (sqljdbc42) and moved them
to the lib folder
I have created a new user in SQL SERVER and gave it all rights...didn't help.
very sure about username/password and login settings
reinstalled pentaho multiple times, reinstalled the jdbc drivers
I'm have a mac but use windows on parallels, and I work from this environment.
This is the error that I'm getting:

Apparently this issue was caused because of an authentication issue with the driver. If you download your drivers (sqljdbc), also copy the file 'sqljbdc_auth.dll' to %PENTAHO_HOME%\design-tools\data-integration\libswt\win64
This will make sure your users and logins get the proper authorisation.
On the Database connection definition, between the Test and the Explore button, you have a Feature List which gives you all the parameters used by the PDI for that connection.
Check the the driver class on line 20 (sometime you have more than one on your classpath).
Then drop the url on line 21, in your SQL-Developer or equivalent.
You can also write your own java class ; replace the driver, url, username, password by the walue ayou are using; compile it; run it; it tell you what went wrong.
import java.sql.DriverManager;
public class TestConnection {
public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception{
Class.forName("com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver");
DriverManager.getConnection("url", "username", "password");
System.out.println("Ok");
}
}

Trouble connecting with sql-server database

I am trying to connect Alfresco Community 4.0 (installed in Tomcat7) with SQL Server 2012 but I keep having the same problem "Connection Refused". With mysql, everything worked fine.
I already turned the firewall off and enabled TCP/IP. The SQL Server Service is also running so I cannot figure out what the problem is. My driver is also working because I have another application (orbeon) using it.
Do you have any idea of what is happening? My configurations are the following:
db.name=alfresco
db.username=alfresco
db.password=alfresco
db.host=127.0.0.1
db.port=1433
db.driver=net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver
db.url=jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://${db.host}:${db.port}/${db.name}
db.txn.isolation=4096
My error is:

Thank you very much for your assistance.
You need to fix this :
db.url=jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://${db.host}:${db.port}/${db.name}
Do it something like the following;
jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://DAN-Aladino-vs.usersad.everis.int:1433/AladinoSFA2
You need to enable the access permissions to the user to access the table.
here Database name is "alfresco".
So, You can find security --> Logins -->List of users. right click on user "alfresco" and go to properties.In this you will find user mapping.Now you need to enable access right's to alfersco i.e user to that particular database.
Try this...

seems kettle is unable to reach the salesforce endpoint on the network.
try from the server where is kettle, open a console and try:
curl -i 'https://yourSalesforceWebservice.foo/services/Soap/u/21.0'
or
traceroute yourSalesforceWebservice.foo
(put the domain or the ip )

Can anyone help me to solve this problem? I really need your help. TQ
Integrated Security SetupTo connect to database with integrated security, following steps should be done:Download Microsoft JDBC Drivers 4.2 on https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=11774Unzip the package in a temp directoryClose SpoonCopy '<temp directory>\sqljdbc_4.2\enu\auth\x86\sqljdbc_auth.dll' to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_73\bin' (32-bit)Copy '<temp directory>\sqljdbc_4.2\enu\sqljdbc42.jar' to '<Kettle installation folder>\data-integration\lib'Open SpoonTest connection in spoonDelete temp directoryIf you upgrade Kettle, Java, JDBC Driver to a higher version, you have to repeat the above steps
Here is what worked for me to connect Pentaho PDI to a Microsoft SQL Server:
Download the official Microsoft JDBC Driver for SQL Server (v4.0) from here.
It comes bundled with two jar files, copy the file "sqljdbc4.jar" into your path data-integration\lib.
Restart Pentaho and try the connection MS SQL server(Native) again.
Note: I used this method for Pentaho PDI (Kettle), but it should work for the rest of products of the suite.
Note2: Even if you are using windows you can download the ".tar.gz" file instead of the ".exe" because you are using it just for Pentaho.
Adding my solution because none of the above match exactly.
I got the sqljdbc_auth.dll as was suggested in this article and just put it into the
data-integration\libswt\win64 directory and started Spoon. I was able to authenticate after that.
I dont know whether you have followed these steps or not.but what i want to mention ::
1>first add jdbc driver for ms sql server add in tomcat->lib.
sqljdbc4.jar
find the below image
I hope it is helpful.
For SQL Server's "Inregratedsecurity" authentication feature to work you must copy the sqljdbc_auth.dll to the BA server's "~\tomcat\bin" location and restart the BA server.
Hope this'll help!
add "sqljdbc41.jar" to \Pentaho\java\bin
and "sqljdbc_auth" (Diff for 32-bit and 64-bit version) to \Pentaho\design-tools\data-integration\lib
Just wrestled with this on my Mac.
By default the "root" directory when you unzip the archive is data-integration. I moved it over to a directory called "Pentaho" -- it's a small thing, but not exactly clear -- you want the JDBC driver in the lib sub-directory off of whatever ROOT directory you are using for Pentaho.
I used the latest JDBC driver -- sqljdbc42.jar -- works just fine -- worked just fine with the mariadb-java-client-2.1.0.jar for Aurora DB on AWS RDS.
Follow Bart VdA's steps, then go to Pentaho, file, new, transformation. Go to the preview tab, select transformation, click connections, new connection. Enter the default sql server settings as shown in the image below.
Alright, this kept me busy for a nasty little while. This is what worked for me:
System info:
win10
PDI community edition Version 9.4
SQL Server 2019
Java install 1: jre1.8.0_361
Java install 2: jdk1.8.0_361
Download:
Driver bundle "sqljdbc_6.0.8112.200_enu.tar.gz"
from source https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=11774
(over time the exact name will change. the url seems to stay the same)
Actions:
shut down pentaho/spoon
unpack file "sqljdbc_6.0.8112.200_enu.tar.gz". this gets you a folder with subfolders and various files in them.
copy this file:
"sqljdbc_6.0.8112.200_enu.tar\sqljdbc_6.0\enu\auth\x64\sqljdbc_auth.dll"
to this location:
"...\data-integration\libswt\win64"
copy this file:
"sqljdbc_6.0.8112.200_enu.tar\sqljdbc_6.0\enu\jre8\sqljdbc42.jar"
to this location:
"...\data-integration\lib"
start up spoon
I hope this does it for You..
Thanks to the other posters.

CXF Web service client error

I am trying to invoke a web service from java client using apache CXF. Following is my client code snippet.
Client client = new ClientImpl(new URL("http://localhost:8080/socialkast-web/services/skservice?wsdl"));
Object[] results = client.invoke("uploadVideoMetaData", new Object[] {metaData});
String result = (String)results[0];
I am getting parsing error although i am able to access the wsdl file from browser. Following is the exception stack.

Please advice what am I missing here.
Thanks.
This could be something really obvious, but have you tried hitting your service from your browser? For example, try getting wsdl by pointing your web browser to:
http://localhost:8080/socialkast-web/services/skservice?wsdl
If you can't get there, maybe your server isn't running.
Simple enough: Your server isn't responding.
