I am trying to follow the quick start sample on my local Windows 10 with IIS. When I browse
"http://localhost:5000/.well-known/openid-configuration" however, I got "This site can't be reached" error with Chome. When I tried the same with IE, it still failed but with some more detail: "The device or resource (localhost) is not set up to accept connections on port '5000'.". All I did was following the doc of the quick start. Is there something I missed, such as configuring IIS is some way?

Choose Kestrel as the startup project and then you will see the handy log in a console window. That will help you debug your connectivity issues. In the log you will see what port Kestrel is listening on.
Just choose the name of your project here instead of IIS Express:

SignalR IIS With React - "Server returned handshake error: Handshake was canceled."

I am developing a .Net Core (3.1) web application hosted with IIS 10. When I am trying to use SignalR on localhost, I am able to connect totally fine and receive messages from the backend, but after I publish it to IIS, I get the error: "Server returned handshake error: Handshake was canceled." In the client logs on Chrome's console, I get the message: "Information: SSE connected to http://myserver.com/MyApplication/output" before I get the error described above (which you would think means that I connected successfully)...
I have seen other posts where people have suggested that I have to enable webSockets on IIS, and I have already checked the my site has this enabled.
I have also seen people suggest to try using the longPolling argument in the withUrl function when creating the connection, and this has not helped either.
I have also added SignalR Event Log Trace Listeners to my web.config file, and the only warning I get that might be related to this issue is that I get a warning from the .NET runtime that reads "Failed to determine the https port for redirect." I am not sure what this means or if it would be related to SignalR, but as this also appears to deal with Middleware, it might be significant.
One thing that I thought might be related is that my site is just one of multiple hosted on this server, so that when I am running locally, I can use the following to connect to SignalR:
hubConnection = new signalR.HubConnectionBuilder().withUrl("/output").build();
But because of the way this site is deployed on my server, I have to use this:
hubConnection = new signalR.HubConnectionBuilder().withUrl("/MyApplication/output").build();
when I deploy the site or else I get a 404 error...
Would there be any issue there? I noticed when inspecting the network requests that on localhost, the URL to connect with the socket is "wss://localhost:44315/output?id=..." and I get the "Status Code: 101 Switching Protocols", but after I deploy, the url that is used is "http://myserver.com/MyApplication/output?id=..." and I get a "200 OK" just before receiving the error described at the top. Why does wss get used on localhost but http is requested from my client when I deploy?
FINALLY discovered the issue after days of debugging... The reason I was getting a "101" response on localhost and not when published is because 101 is basically the server (IIS in my case) saying "I support web sockets". I realized that because I wasn't getting this when published, web sockets were probably not enabled in IIS. It was weird, however, because I went into IIS manager and it said that web sockets were enabled, but after much more research, I found that you also have to go into "Server Manager" and enable it as well (see here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/iis/get-started/whats-new-in-iis-8/iis-80-websocket-protocol-support and follow step by step instructions). I did not realize both were required.

XPages - Auto launch not working on DMZ server

I have an application with the web browser launch properties set to open designated XPage (home.xsp).
It works fine on our test server but not on the new DMZ server where I get a 404 error (HTTP Web Server: Item Not Found Exception)
I've looked on Stack Overflow but haven't found anything to point me in the right direction. Would someone let me know how I can resolve this?

I would try some things
clean the project
manually build the project
check the data\Technical support folder and the data\Domino\workspace\logs folder on the server for clues

How to change the admin port using the Google App engine launcher?

It's easy to change the port of the application using the launcher. Go to Edit>>Application Settings (or alternatively Ctrl+i) and change the port. Since I was getting an error similar to the one given below, I changed the application port from 8080 to 48080. Unfortunately, I am not able to change the admin port from 8000 to 48000, because of which I am getting the following error.
google.appengine.tools.devappserver2.wsgi_server.BindError: Unable to bind localhost:8000
I also tried the method illustrated in the following image (my reference being this link):
Regardless of what I try, my web-browsers (Chrome and Firefox) return a message similar to This webpage is not available. Any ideas are appreciated.
I have seen this before, when I had a crashed instance running on the port. You may have a frozen Python script running on that port. On a Mac, I can go to Activity Monitor and kill the process. Not sure if you can do that via task manager in Windows. You may need to restart machine.

Having issues getting WordPress running under GAE + Cloud SQL

I tried to set up WordPress under Google App Engine earlier tonight (following the instructions here: https://developers.google.com/appengine/articles/wordpress).
It runs fine locally, but when I push to remote I get a database error (visible at https://wp-dot-frontiermediag.appspot.com/). If we throw on a /wp_admin/install.php you get:
This either means that the username and password information in your
wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server
at :/cloudsql/frontiermediag:fmwp. This could mean your host's database
server is down.
Here's the relevant code in wp-config:

frontiermediag:fmwp is showing "Status Runnable" in Developers Console > Cloud SQL.
I did this once before and it worked so I'm not sure what I'm missing here. I thought it might have been because I'm using WP 3.8.1. but rolled back to 3.5.1 and same thing's happening.
Any ideas? frontiermediag is listed as an authorized application on the :fmwp ACL.
This situation happened to me earlier.However, I edited my Cloud SQL instance , and set "Preferred Location" as "Follow App Engine App" from Google Developers Console. This database connection problem was solved in my case.
I tried the instructions with wordpress 3.5.1 and the instructions seem to work for me. The code snippet you have above seems right and I am not sure what could be wrong without looking at rest of your code. Can you try the instructions from the beginning one more time with 3.5.1?
I had this issue, because "Follow App Engine App" doesn't seem to be an option for second generation instances in my case, and so the instance connection name includes the region setting.
Look at the instance details, and under properties, find "Instance connection name". That is the text that should follow :cloudsql/.

Server Error in appspot.com application

Running my application on local with dev_appserver for finding event list from Google calendar and it works fine.
when I deployed through app-engine (deployment done successful) and when I run the file it gives me below error
Error: Server Error
The server encountered an error and could not complete your request.
If the problem persists, please report your problem and mention this error message and the query that caused it.
Google lot about this error still unable to find solution for the same

Any idea what changes need to do to run my application on live?
I feel that you didn't changed your client id and client secret which u registered for appspot.com domain when deploying to appengine server. So you are getting this error.
Check your application logs from your GAE admin page.
Hopefully you'll find some info there to help debug.
