Here maps policy on using screeshots and generating higher resolution printable map images combining screenshots - maps

I am developing an application where having a proper printable map image could be more beneficial; I have been through developer policy and guidelines but were unable to find anything specific about conditions on use of screenshots where I would like my application to be able to generate higher resolution printable map images may or may not be combining screenshots as necessary only if it's allowed.
How do I get content usage policies of here maps on screenshot assets?

Please check our location content terms here
If your products and/or services use map data that is made accessible through the HERE Services, you shall provide End-Users of your products and/or services with notice, in a reasonably conspicuous manner (e.g., in the End-User Terms), of the supplier notices and related terms applicable to such map data by (i) referencing the notices and related terms set forth herein, and (ii) including the following copyright notice: “© 1987 - 2020 HERE. All rights reserved.”
Data for countries in the Americas, the Middle East, Europe, Russia, Africa and/or Asia Pacific: © 1987 - 2020 HERE
The following terms shall apply to the use of map data for the countries specified below to the extent that (i) the application, product and/or service which you are using; or (ii) your product and/or services uses or includes map data for each respective country."
Regarding to printable map images or screenshots, please try;
adding copyright notice
checking country specific requirement. For example in EU, map content in digital formats providing to end users is allowed (for example in pdf format), as long as you don't print out the map images directly and provide to the end users.

How can I analyse instagram pictures?

I ve the task to crowd and analyse a set of instagram users's posts, including texts and pictures. I don t need to know the user identity.
In particular, I ve to use the images to train some machine learning classifier/regressor. So that I need to temporaly store the picture to extract visual features.
Reading the instagram API policy I m a bit confused :
Comply with any requirements or restrictions imposed on usage of Instagram user photos and videos ("User Content") by their respective owners. You are solely responsible for making use of User Content in compliance with owners' requirements or restrictions.
14 only store or cache User Content for the period necessary to provide your app's service.
17.Don't apply computer vision technology to User Content, without our prior permission
11 => what are the common owner's restrictions? I mean, when people post a picture on instagram do they set any restriction or are they publicly available? And then there are some cases of pictures with restrictions
14 => i have not to build or sell any app. I need to store the pictures just the time needed for the analysis. However, according to this point I could store pictures on a drive and than remove them when finished. Did I get the point or I m wrong?
17 => I guess that this point is related to image manipulation. Not analysis.
I hope that someone can clarify me what can I do, considering my purpose. As an example, at this page you can see a project in which a set of instagram picture have been crowled, labelled and analysed. The downloadable file doesn t contain the pictures, but just their instagram ids.

Need mapping between TFS Team Name and Work Item Ids

In TFS, every Team is associated with Project. Also every Team has their own work items. Team can have more than one area path, similarly one area path can be associated with more than one team.
So I need to create a report where we can get all Work Items associated with specific team.
Is there any way to get that mapping from any table from TFS databases or using REST API?
No such report by default. You can add a custom field to represent teams in your organization, you can reconfigure the agile planning tools and pages to support your teams and decouple assignment to teams and area paths.
Detailed steps, you can follow MSDN article: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn144940.aspx

Generate a series of documents based on SQL table

I am trying to formulate a proposal for an application that allows a user to print a batch of documents based on data stored in a SQL table. The SQL table indicates which documents are due and also contains all demographic information. This is outside of what I normally do and am trying to see if these is a platform/application that already exists to do such a task
For example
List of all documents: Document #1 - Document #10
Person 1 is due for document #: 1,5,7,8
Person 2 is due for document #: 2.6
Person 3 is due for document #: 7,8,10
etc
Ideally, what I would like is for the user to be able to push a button and get a printed stack of documents that have been customized for each user including basic demographic info like name, DOB, etc
Like i said at the top, I already have all of the needed information in a database, I am just trying to figure out the best approach to move that information onto a document
I have done some research and found some people have used mail merge in Word or using Access as a front end but I don't know if this is the best way. I've also found this document. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
If I understand your problem correctly, your problem is two-fold: Firstly, you need to find a way to generated documents based on data (mail-merge) and secondly, you might need to print them two.
For document generation you have two basic approaches: template-based and programmatically from scratch. I suppose that you will opt for a template based approach which basically means that you design (in MS Word) a template document (Word, RTF, ...) that acts as a template and contains placeholders and other tags that designate »dynamic« parts of the document. Then, at document generation time, you need a .NET library/processor that you will pass this template document and the data, where the processor will populate the template with the data and return the resulting document.
One way to achieve this functionality would be employing MS Words' native mail-merge, but you should know that this would involve using Office COM and Word Application Automation which should be avoided almost always.
Another option is to build such a system on top of Open XML SDK. This is velid option, but it will be a pretty demanding task and will most probably cost you much more than buying a commercial .NET library that does mail-merge out-of-the-box – been there, done that. But of course, the good side here is that you will be able to tailer the solution to your needs. If you go down this road I recoment that you use Content Controls for tagging documents/templates. The solution with CCs will be much easier to implement than the solution with bookmarks.
I'm not very familliar with the open source solutions and I'm not sury how many there are that can do mail-merge. One I know is FlexDoc (on CodePlex) but its problem is that uses a construct (XmlControl) for tagging that is depricated in Word 2010+.
Then there are commercial solutions. Again I don't know them in detail but I know that the majority of them are a general purpose document processing libraries. Our company has been using this document generation toolkit for some time now and I can say it covers all our »template-based document generation« needs. It doesn't require MS Word at doc generation time, and has really helpful add-in for MS word and you only need several lines of code to integrate it in your project. Templating is very powerful and you can set-up a template in a very short time. While templates are Word documents, you can generate PDF or XPS docs as well. XPS is useful because you can use .NET/WPF prining framework that works with XPS docs to print documents. This is a very high-end solution, but of course, the downside here is that it is not a free solution.

Is there a way to access to the database of Google Maps for the public transport?

I'd like to have access to the numbers and type of public transportation and for each of them, their stops of a certain city. So for instance, I'd like to have :
Number Type Stops
1 Metro Stop1.1, Stop1.2, Stop1.3, ...
6 Bus Stop6.1, Stop6.2, Stop6.3, ...
17 Tram Stop17.1, Stop17.2, Stop17.3, ...
... ... ...
Of course, I don't really care about the format, I just want to know how to have access to the data, in order to do not re-enter it manually in my website!
Thanks for any help :-)
GTFS Data Exchange
GTFS Exchange was retired in 2016.
It is still useful for legacy gtfs files that are not updated/available anymore. However, you should now refer to the following databases for static GTFS:
Transitland
TransitFeeds
TransitWiki
Google's own compilation: PublicFeeds.wiki
They overlap a lot but not completely, so it's always good to check all of them out. Also know that some smaller transit agencies still don't share their data with these services, so it's worth checking their website.
Finally, Google map uses these same files as their source data to my knowledge. In their reference page for GTFS, they mention the following:
Submitting a Transit feed to Google
If you're at a public agency that oversees public transportation for your city, you can use the GTFS specification to provide schedules and geographic information to Google Maps and other Google applications that show transit information.
If you provide a transportation service that is open to the public, and operates with fixed schedules and routes, we welcome your participation; it is simple and free.
For live updates though, I think that google uses GTFS RealTime.
Is there a way... in a word, no. This data isn't available through the Maps API (yet).

API For Associating Cell Number With Provider

Given a cell number in the US (although other countries would be nice too), how to I go about figuring out the provider? Are there any web services that you know of or ETL dumps that I can use to get this information?
Ideally this component would accept a cell phone number and return a service provider.
MX Telecom looks most promising. They have an XML interface detailed here.
Another nice one (pay to get CSV file)
Here is a list of other service providers.
Before local number portability, you could determine carrier by the 3 digits after area code. This no longer works for people who "took their numbers with them" when they switched carriers.
I dont know about other countries. Here is a list of codes for Indian mobile phones. I am not aware of any webservice available. But this can stored in a DB and referred.
