Store version of UWP Package with a full trust process forms app keeps crashing on launch - winforms

I have a UWP app with a full trust win32 forms app bundled with it.
My project structure is like
UWP App
Win32 Forms App (.NET Framework 4.7.2)
Sync Library (.NET Framework 4.7.2) - referred by Forms App
Domain Library (.NET Standard 2.0) - referred by both UWP App and Sync Library.
When I get a release build through visual studio, it works fine. But when the same package is published to the store, app keeps crashing on launch. I tried adding crash logs by subscribing to the App.UnhandledException. But it is not being fired. Also in the store health report, It is just shown as "unknown".
On checking the error logs in Event viewer, there were two errors thrown for each crash which are listed below.

---------
I can't really make anything from the analysis.

MagicAndre1981 helped me in debugging the crash dump which revealed the error,
Could not load file or assembly 'System.Private.CoreLib, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified
As Microsoft store no longer accepts mixed package (UWP + Desktop) binaries, We have to wrap it in a Visual Studio packaging project.
After adding a visual studio packaging project to the solution, I added my UWP and desktop projects as references to it. Then I moved my appservice and full trust process manifest definitions from UWP to the new Package project's manifest. Refer here for more info.
After making these changes it worked!!

To debug such issues, you should generate a crash dump. To do this, you can use the Windows Error Reporting service of Windows.
To do this open regedit.exe, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\LocalDumps key. Here you can create string DumpFolder to configure the location and the DWORD DumpType to configure the type. Here set the value to 2 for a full memory dump.
This configures global settings, to configure it per application use this location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\LocalDumps\MyApplication.exe.
No, open the dump in Windbg.exe, which is part of Windows 10 SDK, configure the Debug symbols and run !analyze -v.
For pure UWP apps that show 0xC000027B error, you should use PDE.dll extension to debug it.

Codename one - Android build error

I encounter an error when trying to send my app to the server for building (android). Netbeans outputs the following message (actual username removed):

Also Codename One settings won't show up...
It stared when I received this error:
Cannot use a cn1lib with java version greater then the project java version
At the same time Netbeans had a problem with JavaFX. So I downloaded the latest jdk and add a hint in codename one: java.version -> 8. This fixed both issues, but now I can't build my app.

Does anyone know what can be the problem?
Looking thru the entries in the properties vs. the XML it seems the displayName property is blank. I didn't check everything but that seems to be an issue.

Unable to run application outside of Visual Studio

Our .Net 4.0 app that runs normally while hosted by VS always crashes while loading (less than 1 second after executing) while not debugging (both debug and release binaries).
The app contains 5 libraries (all of it with .Net 4.0) + NHibernate dependencies.
It does not even fire the UnhandledException event, it just crashes right away with a OutOfMemoryException (I could only see that with the Windows Event Viewer).
Event Viewer tells me that kernelbase.dll had a OutOfMemoryException, and
Fuslogvw.exe tells me that System.Core fails to load:

Converting PB 9 classic app to .Net winform

I have a powerbuilder 9 app and we are converting that to .net. To do this, I am following the below approach :
Convert powerbuilder 9 app to powerbuilder classic 12.5. - Completed successfully.
Convert powerbuilder classic 12.5 app to powerbuilder.net 12.5 app. - In progress, with build errors.
Create .Net dlls in pb.net 12.5
Refer pb.net 12.5 dlls in .Net winforms project to reuse the existing forms and the code. - Pending.
In step 2, I am facing issues for building the app successfully.
After conversion, I got the below errors :
There is a functionality to create excel sheet. After conversion, there is an error at the below line.
workbook.Sheets(1).CELLS[1,8].columnwidth=9
Error C0014: Undefined variable: columnwidth
There is an error at GOTO statement.
Syntax/statement in the code: GOTO IssuerLtrsOnly1, IssuerLtrsOnly1:
Error: No label 'IssuerLtrsOnly1' within the scope of the GoTo statement.
I commented the above lines to see the successful build. Unfortunately, below is the error i got again and with this error I am unable to find the location of the error. On double click of the error, it is not pointing to the error location after target corecompile.
Below is the build information:

bug in aspnet_compiler?

I have a solution with several web projects.
I have built each project into its own folder (there's about 10 projects):
/build/projA
/build/projB
/build/projC
If I call
aspnet_compiler -v / -p \"build/#{proj}\" merged/#{proj}
on each one in turn, everything is fine.
If I make all 10 calls to aspnet_compiler in parallel, I get assembly loading errors, saying the referenced assemblies are in use.
Is this a bug? Why would it be in use? It shouldn't be.
The assemblies that cant be loaded are in multiple projects, but each one has its own copy in its bin folder.
Update: it seems to occur (for some) of the assemblies that are references of references. Those loaded with complete binding information seem to work.
Here's a dump from one of the failed loadings from fuslogvw
The operation failed.

If you call the ClientBuildManager directly, outside of aspnet_compiler there doesn't seem to be a problem, no idea why.
var parameter = new ClientBuildManagerParameter
{
PrecompilationFlags = PrecompilationFlags.ForceDebug
};
var client = new ClientBuildManager("/", src, dest, parameter);
client.PrecompileApplication();

Unable to clear Children of Grid Control

I have a grid with 2 columns and 2 rows which programatically adds either a hyperlink button / a usercontrol. The way this is done is by calling a LoadData() method to clear the existing Grid and add the controls.
The problem I have is if I remove a usercontrol from the data then call the LoadData() method the code behind reloads the data correctly but the UI does not change.
It is looking like the grid.Children.Clear() is not working at all.
Can anyone help with this
thank you
First clear Children, then RowDefinitions (or ColumnDefinitions, or both):
gridResults.Children.Clear();
gridResults.RowDefinitions.Clear();
Yes. Interestingly swapping the order of these two lines previously worked in Silverlight 5 on win7,
works on VM's in win8.0, win8.1 (non touch screen)
but fails in win8.1 IE11.0.96 touch, busting the corecrl.dll of Silverlight and shutting down IE.
Just spent a whole day on the bug and tracked it down to this...
