2FA on phpmyadmin 4.8.4 - database

I am trying to implement Two factor authentication (2FA) on phpmyadmin. Conifguration Storage has been setup and corresponding user has been created. However, when I go to Settings > Two Factor Authentication and select the Authentication Application (2FA) option, phpmyadmin throws the following error :
Error in processing request
Error code: 500
Error text: error (rejected)
It seems that the connection to server has been lost. Please check your network connectivity and server status.
If anyone has implemented or faced the issue, kindly help me resolve the same.

Is there any active firewall rules? Once I had a phpmyadmin on AWS ec2 and I was using AWS security groups, by only letting 3306 open I wasn't able to activate 2fa.

PowerBI Server: Refresh failed due to gateway configuration issues

I am using Azure Database for MySQL with the following configuration as the data source on a PowerBI report
Firewall Rules: Allow access to Azure services
SSL Settings: Enforce SSL connection is set to disabled
PowerBI Desktop is able to connect to the database.
I then publish the report. Go to app.powerbi.com/home and refresh the dataset.
I get the error Refresh failed due to gateway configuration issues
I do not have any gateways configured given that the database is on Azure
Any tips/guidance would be appreciated.
Some details from the error message and connection to db
Refresh failed due to gateway configuration issues.
This dataset requires a properly configured gateway in order to refresh.
If you're using personal mode, please make sure your gateway is online.
If you're using enterprise mode, please make sure you've added the following data sources in the Gateway Management PortalMySql { server : "XYZ.mysql.database.azure.com" , database : "SOMEDB" }
Please try again later or contact support.

I am getting errors on connecting to remote heroku postgresql database

I was working on my project that was using remote heroku postgresql database, that was working fine. Actually, I was using the sqlalchemy library to connect to remote database and I was also used to queries that remote database through my Ubuntu terminal by using psql name_of_remote_database_url command. But after sometime it is giving me a bundle of errors.
And my project was on flask web application now, I am getting errors from this also.
enter image description here
I tried so much but I failed so, that's why I am posting my question here! If anyone knows then plz explain!
pg_hba.config something looks like this
Please read following Heroku support information:
FATAL: no pg_hba.conf entry for host "…”, user “u…”, database “d…”,
SSL off
You are attempting to establish a database connection without SSL. SSL
is required for all connections. Please see the documentation for your
postgres driver on how to establish encrypted connections.
Recommended solution:
Heroku Postgres & SSL
Actually, I was using remote heroku database url. After sometime, heroku did maintenance of my database and changed the url and I was considering the problem related to my system, but it was not related to that.
When I visited my gmail there was written in the heroku gmail that we changed the url of your remote database during maintenance.
Now, it's working fine!

Connecting to Linked Server in SQL Server database (Windows Authentication) from IIS

When I try to query the linked server outside of IIS, from console application everything works fine without any additional configuration.
When I try to query the linked server from website hosted in IIS, I
get the following error: Login failed for user 'DOMAIN\USER'.
Obviously, I can "fix" this problem by adding that user to SQL
Server, but why is it trying to access the SQL from user account and
not from application's pool account? Why don't I get error Login
failed for user 'IIS AppPool\MyApplicationPool'? Is there a way to
force it to use application pool?
Obviously, I can't access the Linked Server data without giving that user a read permissions on the folder. If I give permissions to Everyone - it works. If I give permissions to Users - it works...but which user is accessing the linked server data? Is it the MSSQL user? Is it the DOMAIN\USER?
Is there a simple way to do the following: Force application in IIS to authenticate with IIS AppPool\MyApplicationPool instead of local account so that I can simply give the read permissions on the folder to that application pool.
If I somehow manage to force it to use the app pool and configure the required permissions, did I bypass the double hop problem? Is there a need for Kerberos delegation?
Thank you in advance.

Failed to configure Release Management service user. Error: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized

I have tried to configure release management to work across different servers with untrusted domains using the steps described in the below article.
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/visualstudioalm/archive/2013/12/12/configuring-release-management-to-work-across-untrusted.aspx
But when I tried to configure RM agent with ghost account, it was throwing error mentioned in the title. Please see the error screen attached..!!
I am searching for a solution for last few days...!!! Experts please help me.
Finally the issue has been resolved by logging in as shadow account. Changed RM server name with IP in MS deployment agent....!!
Thank you very much #Daniel Mann for the tips you have provided.
write it down as
Correct way:-
http://(server):(port)
Incorrect way:-
http://(server):(port)/ReleaseManagement
Do not write "/ReleaseManagement/" or any other URL segments after .
This will solve your problem.
Logging in as the shadow account may not be possible depending on how you setup the service account. Release Management site uses windows authentication so if you setup your credentials in Credential Manager on the agent server that will work. Just specify the fully qualified domain name for your Release Management server and your domain credentials for the RM server's domain.

TFS Reporting Services Configuration Error - The RPC Server is Unavailable

I'm trying to configure Team Foundation Reporting but without any success.
The App Tier and the Data Tier are in separate servers.
I guess it's not a port/firewall problem, because I opened port 135, and I can see the established connection by using TCPView (from Sysinternals) whenever I click "Populate URLs" in the Reports tab in TFS Administration Console. I can also telnet servername 135 without any problems.
I also checked if WMI service is started in the Data-Tier. And for SQL Server Reporting Services. Also checked for RPC and RPC Locator in both servers. They're all started and automatic.
I also set tfs app user as admin in sql reporting services. Added all kinds of permissions to the tfs user in the Data-Tier server.
I set all user permissions in dcomcnfg.
Allowed all WMI namespaces permissions to the user. (Computer Management -> WMI Control)
Deactivated Windows Firewall in both servers temporarily.
No luck.
However, in the app-tier, when I click Computer Management -> Connect to another computer, and type the data-tier IP, i can't connect. I get the message "Computer xxx cannot be managed. The network path was not found". How is that ? Tried IP, name, and FQDN. I also tried browsing and selecting the computer. Nothing changed.
I'm lost, what could possibly be happening ?
Thanks in Advance!
i'm betting that you're having the double-hop issue. try having your system admin set an spn for the website on the sql server.
you also need the AD permission 'trust for delegation' on the AD Service Account, right?
do that and SetSpn with the service account, that should help I think that the SPN option was spot on
See this answer:
IIS to SQL Server kerberos auth issues
which links to an old but user-friendly troubleshooting web app called DelegConfig. It can try to run the SetSpn commands for you, at least giving you an idea of what they need to be.
I ran into SPN issues when using an externally-accessible URL (+SSL) everywhere.
