How to get the number (length) of slot values for Alexa skill - alexa

I am trying to generate a random response for my Alexa Skill. I have set it up as:
Intent = myIntent
Slot = mySlot
Slot Type = mySlotType
Slot Values = {A,B,C,D} //the ids are unique numbers 1 - 4
when the user says a word such as A it uses this to create a response. Now I want to add a case for 'random'.
So Slot Values = {random,A,B,C,D}. //ID for random is 0
When the user says random, I want to randomly choose from the other Slot Values and use this to create a response.
Can Slot Value ID be used to return the Slot Value value?
Anybody know a good way to do this? I am a novice so excuse any obvious oversights.

This might be a workaround for your problem. You can get the JSON structure of your interaction model and use it as a constant in your lambda index.js file. I usually use this official tool for generating backend code for my skill

When you'll generate the code through this tool, you'll see that the code generated also has the whole interaction model used as constant. Since you will have the whole JSON schema of the interaction model at your disposal, you can perform any action on it.
Note: If you don't know where to get JSON schema of your interaction model, scroll down on the build tab of your skill on the developer console, you'll find a menu of JSON editor on the left navigation. It will give you the JSON schema of your interaction model.

You can use mySlot as optional value in the intent description. For example you can add few utterances without slot inside them. And on the backend side you can check is the slot filled. If it is not filled you can generate random answer.

WordPress : make categories automatically match according to external API Value

I'm managing a company website, where we have to display our products. We however do not want to handle the admin edit for this CPT, nor offer the ability to access to the form. But we have to read some product data form the admin edit page. All has to be created or updated via our CRM platform automatically.
For this matter, I already setup a CPT (wprc_pr) and registered 6 custom hierarchical terms: 1 generic for the types (wprc_pr_type) and 5 targeting each types available: wprc_pr_rb, wprc_pr_sp, wprc_pr_pe, wprc_pr_ce and wprc_pr_pr. All those taxonomies are required for filtering purposes (was the old way of working, maybe not the best, opened to suggestions here). We happen to come out with archive pages links looking like site.tld/generic/specific-parent/specific-child/ which is what is desired here.
I have a internal tool, nodeJS based, to batch create products from our CRM. The job is simple: get all products not yet pushed to the website, format a new post, push it to the WP REST API, wait for response, updated CRM data in consequence, and proceed to next product. Handle about 1600 products today on trialn each gone fine
The issue for now is that in order for me to put the correct terms to the new post, I have to compute for each product the generic type and specific type children.
I handled that by creating 6 files, one for each taxonomy. Each file is basically a giant JS object with the id from the CRM as a key, and the term id as a value. My script handles the category assertion like that:
wp_taxonomy = [jsTaxonomyMapper[crm_id1][crm_id2]] // or [] if not found
I have to say it is working pretty well, and that I could stop here. But I will have to take that computing to the wp_after_insert_post hook, in order to reaffect the post to the desired category on updated if something changed on the CRM.
Not quite difficult, but if I happen to add category on the CRM, I'll have to manually edit my mappers to add the new terms, and believe me that's a hassle.
Not waiting for a full solution here, but a way to work the thing. Maybe a way to computed those mappers and store their values in the options table maybe, or have a mapper class, I don't know at all.
Additional information:
Data from the CRM comes as integers (ids corresponding to a label) and the mappers today consist of 6 arrays (nested or not), about 600 total entries.
If you have something for me, or even suggestions to simplify the process, I'll go with it.

Salesforce Screen flow search and display record information

I'm working on a screen flow. The idea is to have a lookup component the user can search a contact. Then I would like to display the information from the Contact (Account Name, Contact Name, Number Email) and I would like to be able to have the user update that information if needed. I just stomped on how it can be done. I know it should be able to be pulled from the record ID in some type of way and maybe use an Assignment to display the information. Can someone guide me on a next step or if anyone has an instructional video would be helpful.

You wouldn't be able to display the looked up contact's fields on that screen as soon as you populate that field. That would be something only possible in code (aura component or lwc).
What you can do, however is -
Get Record element after that screen element. (Get Contact, where Id = lookupcomponent.recordId)
Then EITHER:
use the new Fields (BETA) option on another screen Fields (BETA)
(this method is easier, doesn't have as much control and is limited on fields, depending on data type, you can use)
add inputs one by one and set the default values Add Fields One By One
(this method allows more control)
Then, you will need an update element. If you used the Fields (BETA) you can just update the record variable. If you did the inputs one by one, you will need to update the contact and set fields individually.

Triggering multiple webhooks with Zapier array of Json objects

I'm having trouble with triggering multiple webhooks via Zapier like explained on Zapiers website
Did anyone manage to use this functionality?
I'm trying to create "an array of properly formed JSON objects".
To be able to select it as data source in the next step it needs to be a simple array (thats why I stringify the jsons inside the array).
Here is the json array I'm creating in Zapier Code trying to use to trigger two separate webhooks being triggered

Cool, so what you described in this comment should totally be possible.
Your zap will be the following:
Trigger - new email
Parse email, return an array of {id, data} (see below)
Update inventory (will happen for each item in the array in step 2)
This takes advantage of an undocumented feature of code steps where if they return arrays, the zap branches and subsequent steps run multiple times. Note that there's no UI for this and it'll look confusing, but it will work.
Your JS code will be something like the following:
// parse email code
// get items and their quantities
// return object that looks like this
return [{id: 1, data: 123}, {id: 2, data: 456}]
In step 3 (however you're doing that), you'll be able to select id and data as mappable inputs. When you're setting the zap up, you'll only see 1 and 123 as options, but when the zap is on and runs for real, step 3 will get run for each array element returned in step 2.
According to the docs:
You can send an array of properly formed JSON objects, and we will
trigger the Zap once for each object in the array.
Application will be able to parse through the json and understand its structure. Making it as a string makes it to lose it.
So I'm guessing sending it as a string might not work. The Application won't be able to find the number of elements inside the string, it will consider entire string to be one element.
Try,

List in custom Alexa skills

I'm new to Alexa Skills but meanwhile I've read tons of information and tutorials.
Fortunately, I'm currently able to create my own custom skill (based on PHP) on my own server and it already works using different intents, utterances, slots etc..
Now, I want Alexa to read a list of items (I send via JSON) in PlainText but I can't find any information how to do this.
I assume there are two options (please correct me if I'm wrong):
Sending a JSON answer including one item - Alexa reads this item - the user says e.g. "next" - Alexa requests my server for the next item - my server sends the next JSON answer ... and so on.
Sending a JSON answer including all items in an array - Alexa reads each item one after another.
I'm not sure which solution is possible and how it can be solved.
So, can anyone help me on this or point me to some information?
Both ways are possible and which one to choose depends on what you are listing.
Using AMAZON.NextIntent
If a single list item include item name and some details about it, then reading out it in one go won't be a good user experience. In this case you can use AMAZON.NextIntent to handle users "next" request.
When the user asks for the list, give the first item in your response and keep a track of the item index in response sessionAttributes. You can also set a STATE attribute too, so that you can check this state in AMAZON.NextIntent handler before you give the next item.

When the user say "next"
check whether the state is LIST_ITEMS and based on the index give the next item from your list. And in sessionAttributes increment the index

Now, if your items are just names then you can read it one after the other.
In both these solutions it is always good to use SSML rather than just PlainText. SSML gives you more control on how your response is spoken.

Save error: Initial term of field expression must be a concrete SObject: MAP<String,AcctId__c>

I'm trying to get over a limitation in Salesforce where Lead objects can't have related lists that convert with the Lead over to Opportunity, Contact and Account. I have set up 4 objects of type Lookup Relationship, and created a dummy record in each.
I want to use Custom Settings to store the id of each of these dummy records, so that when the Lead converts, any custom objects can also convert to objects with Master/Detail relationships on the respective standard objects.
My trigger on Lead(after update) tries to create a Map of the Custom Settings:
Map cs = AcctId__c.getAll();
AcctId__c is the Custom Setting api name. Compile time is giving me the above message.
Now, I copied this code directly from the Salesforce documentation. What am I forgetting?
I believe that you must include the actual map definition <String,AcctId__c> after the word Map.
