how to check two files exists or not. I mean two file patterns i.e. File* and errorFile*, if they exist then trigger a flow.
I am using File Connector (Mule 3.8) to start with one file with pattern File*, after that, I want to check for the second file exist i.e. errorFile* to continue with my process.
Maybe you should elaborate more about what you have attempted till now.
Following steps should help you go through:
Get a list of files at the location using 'List' element of the SFTP connector (Mule 4).
Parse this list and if you find the required filename, set a flow variable to a certain value.
Make use of the Choice element to trigger a subflow based on the value of the variable.

I'm getting the following error:
"The file isn’t compatible with QuickTime Player."
When using this script:
tell application "Finder"
set random_file to some file of entire contents of folder "Movies" of home
open result
end tell
However, I am able to open the file from the finder manually and once I do the script works on just that file. The problem is I have thousands of files and don't want to open each one manually for the script to work again. Have not had this problem with the script in the past.
There are two ways I can think of to approach modifying your script:
Stick with Finder's open command but invoke it fully with its using parameter, which accepts an application file that informs Finder of the application that will be used to open the file. It may sound superfluous given it already tries to open it in QuickTime, and we're not trying to change that, but it's not unwise to see if it does confer a difference in behaviour:
tell application id "com.apple.finder"
tell the folder (path to movies folder) to tell (the ¬
a reference to entire contents) to tell (the ¬
some document file as alias) to set f to it
open f using application file id "com.apple.QuickTimePlayerX"
end tell
Grab the file as you like (really, you ought to be using System Events for this, not Finder, but I'll go with what you had), but then use the open handler of the specific application to open the file:
tell application id "com.apple.finder" to tell the folder (path to movies folder) ¬
to tell (a reference to the entire contents) to tell (some document file) ¬
as alias to set f to it
tell application id "com.apple.QuickTimePlayerX"
activate
open f
end tell
NB. I'm using Monterey, in which both of these two above propositions work appropriately. This doesn't necessarily infer that it will do so in Big Sur, but if they do not, it's worth checking the various app permissions under the different Security & Privacy headings of System Preferences.
I have an URL like
url = "file:D:/inputFolder?move=D:/outputFolder". we are making this url dynamically.
I want to rename the file while moving, So I made it something like this
url = "file:D:/inputFolder?move=D:/outputFolder&fileName=abc.txt". But I think move and fileName do not work together, it is not renaming.
Is there any alternative to do it? Please remember I want with "move" only.
I cannot use .setHeader(..) also.
Thanks,
Hy,
as far as I understand you, your trying to move the file in one single uri.
That is not really how camel works.
The idea of camel is to have a "consumer" and a "producer", where the consumer loads data (e.g. your file) and the producer puts the data somewhere (e.g. save the file into a folder)
That being said, here is what worked for me with a java route:
from("file:/home/chris/temp/camel/in")
.to("file:/home/chris/temp/camel/out/?fileName=test.txt");
The from part configures the folder where camel looks for new files. A few notes on that:
The file component checks the folder each 0.5 sec for new files. This can be changed with the delay parameter
The option noop configures, if the file is being moved or copied. By default it is set to false, which means it is moved
In the to part you configure, where the file is supposed to be moved. Here you can use the fileName parameter to rename the file.
Be careful with this though, because setting an option in the uri directly does make it "static".
What I mean by that is, that the only way of changing the parameter is by completely reconfiguring the route or by restarting it, where neither is something you would want to do normally.
Note 1:
Moving all files that are put into one folder into the same file always overrides the previous file by default.
You could, for example, use the fileExists parameter to always just append the content of the file: fileExists=Append (See camel file docu for details)
Note 2:
There is an option in the file component to not "move" the file, but copy, rename and delete it, which sometimes is necessary, when you want to move it onto a different drive and a simple copy does not work.
Also see the docu for the camel file component for details on that.
Note 3:
You can have multiple to() statements in the same route to have the file moved to multiple locations. For example:
from("file:/home/chris/temp/camel/in")
.to("file:/home/chris/temp/camel/out/?fileName=test.txt")
.to("smtp:....");
Hope I could help you and answer you question.
Greets
Chris
Two possible ways to achieve your goal.
Use both "consumer" and "producer"
Using this way, you are free to control where and how your destination can be set and has great freedom to control filename with the use of a processor/bean.
from("file:D:/inputFolder")
.to("file:D:/outputFolder?fileName=abc.txt")
Use "consumer" only
Using this way, you are treating your work as source data control. This can be use when your file is going to move within same drive. The drawback is the filename rename pattern is limited (refer to camel file language)
from("file:D:/inputFolder?move=${file:parent}/../outputFolder/abc.txt")
i want to move a file from a directory to anther directory with C Coding.
I search and find rename(); function , but when working it doesnt work and have a error:
my code:
#include <stdio.h>
int main() {
if(rename("/root/tmpfile.php", "/home/check-tmp.php"))
perror( NULL );
}
the code well compiled but when running this code showing this error:
Invalid cross-device link
How to move a file from a directory to anther directory without using System for fopen?
Aslo , i finded many codes and ways to do it but doesnt working all codes.
Please say me a way and make sure it will work
Thanks.
Many aspects of the behavior of `rename' are inherently platform-dependent: The rename operation might not be able to move a file from one file system to another , it might not be atomic, and it might not succeed if a file with the destination abstract pathname already exists.
In other words, your system does not support rename files cross different partitions (your root partition and your home partition are different.)
So the solution is when it fails, copy the file to the destination and delete the original.
The rename call can only rename and move files within a single disk partition. The error "cross-device link" indicates that you attempted to move a file from one partition to another. (If you were on a Windows system, you can imagine if you tried to rename a file from C: to D:.)
When you use the Unix mv command to move files, it first tries a rename, but if it fails in this way, it falls back and makes a new copy of the file in the new location, then deletes the original. That's what you would have to have your code do in this situation, too.
(Copying a file is easy enough, but there are plenty of library functions out there that will do it for you, and also take care of things like preserving the last-modified time and other file attributes.)
I've set up a File System path inside a ForEachFile enumerator in SSIS 2012. I'm iterating over a directory, loading each file, archiving that file, then processing the next file, etc. I've set the Destination folder via an expression that uses a Project Param value, and I get the source file from the variable set in the ForEachFile enumerator. The File System task says it can't find my Destination folder:
Here's the File System Task:
And proof that the destination folder exists:
Why am I getting this error? I'd swear I've used the exact same technique in SSIS 2008 and 2005. This is 2012, but it should work the same way.
I met the same problem and to resolve it i create a variable and i put something like this in the path.Be carefull you must put double "\ \".
So the path must be like this:"\ \ \ \ad1hfdalhp001\ \d$\ \data\ \Archive\ \"
The DestinationConnection field must contain a reference to a flat file connection. The error is saying that you have no Flat file connection manager with that name.
DestinationConnection should not be a free text field. You should be able to open a drop down in the DestinationConnection field and select or create a connection manager.
You will need to configure your output file path as the ConnectionString property on the file connection manager referenced in the DestinationConnection field.
Using a UNC is still an option. Similar to as you've done with the Source, on your Destination, set IsDestinationPathVariable = True and then push \server\path into a Variable User::ArchivePath or similar.
Otherwise, it is as user3922917 indicates: if IsDestinationPathVariable is false, then you need to use a File Connection manager.
In your comments, you indicate that you're building the UNC path based on an Expression in the File System Task. I find I have a better experience when I build my expressions in SSIS Variables and then simply assign that Variable into the Task's Expression. While this step may seem to provide another layer of maintenance, put a break point on the Task and tell me what the expression evaluates to. And you can't. It's only available to the object to use and you are unable to inspect it so you're left high and dry if your formula is off. Which never happens when you're having to deal with escaping a UNC path
I am trying to add a file into ClearCase, but I am getting the following error:
Error adding 'C:\PATH\file.dbc' to source control.
Changed Protection on "C:\PATH\file.dbc".
Created branch "C:\PATH\file.dbc" version "\main\0".
Type manager "text_file_delta" failed create_version operation.
Checked the following:
There are lines that have over 8000 characters and they must stay that way, so it can not use the "text_file_delta" as the type manager. I changed the type of one file to "compressed_file" and I was able to check it in.
I tried to add dbc compressed_file -name "*.[dD][bB][cC]" ; to the default.magic file. Then, I tried to check it with ct file test.dbc and it said that it is a compressed_file, but when I try to add an actual .dbc file to source control, it still gives me the error about the "text_file_delta" failing.
Is there something that I am missing with this? Maybe I put the line in the wrong part of the default.magic file?
Note: the only default.magic file that I am able to find is on the server side, is this correct? (I would rather it check here instead of everyone having to make one on their client.)
Make sure the default.magic file is taken into account, and is in the right directory, as mentioned in "About the ClearCase Magic file".
Make sure you did add the new rule in the right place in that magic file: see "How file types are determined when creating a new element"
Note: This is the first section in the default.magic file.
Example:
# Match by name without examining data
core file : -name "core" ;
compressed_file : -name "*.[nN][eE][wW]";
Note: The new file-typing rule that you add must come before the following line in the magic file:
text_file : -printable ;
compressed_file : !-printable ;
Use a personal magic file rather than modifying the default one:
Caution: It is highly recommended that you not modify the default.magic file directly as the next time an upgrade is performed, a new default.magic file will be created and your changes will be lost.
Creating a personal magic file with a name that is alphabetically before the "d" in the default.magic file name (such as cc.magic) will allow ClearCase to parse this file before the default.
It is better to create a personal magic file and possibly setting the MAGIC_PATH variable instead.
