I am running an existing C project, and having an error. It was used to have no problem, and I could not fix it even after reading similar issues and trying their solutions.
./autogen.sh
running: aclocal
' is already registered with AC_CONFIG_FILES.
/usr/src/ports/autoconf2.5/autoconf2.5-2.69-3.noarch/src/autoconf2.69/lib/autoconf/status.m4:288: AC_CONFIG_FILES is
expanded from...
configure.ac:890: the top level
autom4te-2.69: /usr/bin/m4 failed with exit status: 1
aclocal-1.15: error: echo failed with exit status: 1
error: while running 'aclocal'
As shown, the "autom4te-2.69" is failing, and I did not see any hints about what to do. I am using "Cygwin" on windows 10.
Any idea about how to fix this?
Thanks in advance!

When I test the NTFk package with command Pkg.test("NTFK"). I'm getting the below error.
ERROR: LoadError: Some tests did not pass: 1 passed, 1 failed, 0
errored, 0 broken. in expression starting at
C:\Users\lff19.julia\packages\NTFk\bvyOe\test\runtests.jl:17 ERROR:
Package NTFk errored during testing
For Test.jl, the package scans for ~/PACKAGENAME/test/runtests.jl
A "passed" test is self-explanitory.
A "failed" test means a test resulted in an unexpected value.
An "errored" test means the test was not able to be executed, it errored instead.
A "broken" test refers to a known failing test. Setting the test to "broken" means it will ignore the "fail" status.
So, the 1 failing test is just a single fail in the project's runtest.jl file. It is not a problem with your Pkg.test("NTFK") command, it is a problem within the source code. It should be relatively simple to figure out which test fails from the error/ your console's output.
Realistically, it should be the developer's responsibility to fix the testcase. Although, you could just as well "dev" the package( ] dev PACKAGENAME), effectively making yourself the maintainer for your local package, and going into the runtests.jl and fixing it yourself. Note that "dev"ing a package will move it to ~/.julia/dev .
I working on a version bump on the cc65 and encountered a problem with the linuxdoc-tools. Since I can't fix the linuxdoc-tools and there is a simple workaround possible I decided to add an if statement to inform the user together with the workaround:
if {! [file exists ${prefix}/bin/perl] } {
ui_error "
«${prefix}/bin/perl» is missing but the linuxdoc-tools depends on it.
Please create an appropriate symbolic link for linuxdoc-tools to work.
"
exit 1
}
Crude but the best I can do since I'm neither the perl5 nor the linuxdoc-tools maintainer and I don't want to spend to much time on a version bump.
However, the MacPorts doesn't understand exit 1 and ui_error won't stop execution on its own.
How do I stop the execution so not to waste the users time on a build which will otherwise fail right at the end.
Use return -code error "error message", or the shorthand for the same thing, error "error message".
Note that you should use ui_error before that to print a human-readable message for the user – while the error message is also being printed, it can sometimes get lost in the output.
Additionally, note that $prefix/bin/perl is a build dependency of linuxdoc-tools. If it is also needed at runtime, you should submit a pull request that adds depends_run path:bin/perl:perl5 to the port rather than attempting to fix this bug in your port.
I need to open my system monitor in the QTCreator, but when I try to do it I obtain the following error message:
/home/arakul/sysmon.sgrd: 2: /home/arakul/sysmon.sgrd: Syntax error: newline unexpected
I am trying to open the system monitor by using the following command:
execlp("/home/arakul/sysmon.sgrd","",NULL);
Sorry for my stupid question. I must use command ksysguard with parametrs.
system("ksysguard --desktopfile sysmon.sgrd");
I am stuck with the installation of TPC-E EGen on Mac OS X (or Linux). I have downloaded the workload generator from TPC website : www.tpc.org/tpce/egen-download-request.asp but I failed to build it.
When using the following command for building the utilities:
cd Utilities/prj/GNUMake/
make
I receive the following error:
../../prj/GNUMake/Makefile.EGenUtilities:136: ../../obj/DateTime.d: No such file or directory
../../prj/GNUMake/Makefile.EGenUtilities:136: ../../obj/EGenVersion.d: No such file or directory
../../prj/GNUMake/Makefile.EGenUtilities:136: ../../obj/error.d: No such file or directory
../../obj/locking.d:3: *** missing separator. Stop.
which is not a meaningful error and does not help in how to resolve the issue.
Any help or hint would be appreciated.
I found the problems:
1- in EGenStandardTypes.h, I had to replace
\#if defined (__unix) || (_AIX)
by
\#if defined(unix) || defined(\__unix__) || defined(\__unix) || defined(\__APPLE__) && defined(\__MACH__) || (_AIX)
in order to make this part of code work for Mac OS X as well.
2- in DateTime.cpp and error.cpp
I had to comment out #error directive usages, as my current version of GCC did not support it.
I am working with the build /Release process,We implement the build system using the one host machine which has two Virtual machines.One is windows virtual machine and other Linux.During the build we are invoking Nightly.bat file from Windows vm and Nightly.sh from Linux .Iam using the following command...
start /b vmrun.exe -T ws -gu "End" -gp Password runProgramInGuest "D:\Windows VM\Windows 7 x64 Edition + Visual Studio 2008\Windows 7 x64 Edition.vmx" -activeWindow "C:\SPSBuild\Nightly.bat"
vmrun.exe -T ws -gu root -gp quasar runProgramInGuest "D:\Linux\RHEL 5.3 64-bit\RHEL 5.3 64-bit - Sreejith.vmx" "/home/quasar/workspace/SPSBuild/Nightlynew.sh"
But I got an error which shows "Guest program exited with non-zero exit code: 1"..
The username ,password and the path is correct.
Anybody have any idea about that...please give me an answer..
It seems like either "C:\SPSBuild\Nightly.bat" or "/home/quasar/workspace/SPSBuild/Nightlynew.sh" is failing and returning an error.
Can you run these scripts manually to see if they produce an error message? Can you read the scripts to determine why they return exit code 1?
The file must exists in the guest machine. If it does not exists, you need to use copyFileFromHostToGuest before runProgramInguest.
