I am having issues connected with SQL 2016 MSSQLLocalDb from my application. The system is a Server 2012 and I have just deployed my web application to it. I have installed SQLLocaldb 2016.
Running
sqllocaldb info
gave this response: The automatic instance MSSQLLocalDB was not created.
So I created the instance with the name MSSQLLocalDB.
But when I run the application I get this error:
Using:
Data Source=(localdb)\MSSQLLocalDB
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a
connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible.
Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to
allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 50 - Local
Database Runtime error occurred. Cannot create an automatic instance. See the
Windows Application event log for error details.
)
Changing Data source to named pipe gives this error:
Data Source=np:\.\pipe\LOCALDB#7A55F963\tsql\query
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing
a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible.
Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to
allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error
Locating Server/Instance Specified)
Hear is a screen shot of SQL Server Management Studio (un-able to connect as well)
Can someone please help?
I can't open configuration manager either, when I try I get this error.
Try browse: Server name -> Brose for more -> Database Engine.
I have that problem i cannot connect to SQL Server.
I get this error:
Cannot connect to (localdb)\MSSQLLocalDB. A network-related or
instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to
SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify
that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured

error: 50 - Local Database Runtime error occurred. Error occurred
during LocalDB instance startup: unable to create the SQL Server
process. ) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: -1983577844)
I have looked all over the internet, but all of them are solutions that don't work for me, they show something like you just need to connect to your server the right way, and then make a user login.
But how can I do that if I can't get into my server or database.
I can't get any further than this picture
I even tried through Services that some fix it through, or SQL Server Configuration Manager but I don't have any SQL Server Services.
As you can see on this picture
Btw it's saying there is no elements to show.
I have no idea to what I can do now.
I'm getting error whenever I connect to the instance(DESKTOP-0LFC1LP) on Sql Server. I'm using Sql server 2012.
I don't know what's the reason but whenever I install Sql server , It works perfectly for a day or two and after that it starts giving me this error.
I can solve this by re-installing Sql and it will work fine but again only for a day. I want a permanent solution to this. And please also tell why it works after I reinstall it?
Your help would be appreciated!
Error says:

I have followed the instructions from blog.sqlauthority.com but it did not help.
This is how am trying to connect to my Azure:
And I have noticed one more error in SQL Server Services, But all the services are running.
The remote procedure call failed. [0x800706be]
PS: I have also added my IP address in the "Manage IP Addresses" in windows azure.
Any ideas!
This is a very generalized question. There can have many reasons due to which you are getting this network related error.
Have you ever got it work before? Are you sure server name is correct? Can you cross check?
Or else you can check the internet connectivity and working of VPN(if you use it)
I just fixed my computer here and there after I was facing some BSOD's and when I now try to open up SQL Server using Windows Authentication, displays the following message and doesn't login.
TITLE: Connect to Server
Cannot connect to SARIN-PC\SQLEXPRESS.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
A network-related or instance-specific
error occurred while establishing a
connection to SQL Server. The server
was not found or was not accessible.

connections. (provider: SQL Network

SQL Server, Error: -1)
I checked in the Configuration Manager, Named Pipes, Shared Memory and TCP/IP all are enabled. What went wrong now? :-|
Did you check SQL Server Configuration Manager->SQL Service(MSSQL). Is it runnig?
You also can check:
SQL Service(MSSQL)->Properties->Service->Host Name is eqals to "Service Name"
which you must enter when you start your MSSQL Manadgment Studio.
If it don`t help you can read this articlea http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sql_protocols/archive/2007/05/13/sql-network-interfaces-error-26-error-locating-server-instance-specified.aspx
Check if you are typing in the right computer name and instance name. The error basically points to that.
