Hi All and thanks in advance.
I have an application developed in WebDev 22, and I was able to successfully upload it to my own personal Home Web server, The Application works fine however it cannot read the data because it does not have the analysis.
This application Analysis uses an MSSQL Server Database via the Analysis utilizing MSQL Server Machine ODBC (Means that I am not using the PCSoft Native MS SQL Drivers).
How can place the analysis when creating the Deployment Setup Install File, and how to configure it so that when I am installing the Application in the Site it will talk to the same database I have installed on the Windows Web Server at Home?
Does anyone knows, can this be possible?
Thanks
Regards,
Carlos
I got my own situation resolved.
It turns out that when a Setup Disk is created in PC Soft WebDev, it will automatically include the Database analysis inside the package, in my case I used the option of creating a Media Setup disk to run it in the Web Server, and install the application there. I thought that a very special configuration was needed to be done to connect the Analysis to the MS SQL Data Server in the Web Server, and is none of that.
Let me explain how I got it solved and I would like to explain that everything
was done in the Analysis connection to make possible this connection.
Open the Analysis and Click Connections.
These are the Parameter:
Name: Your Connection Name.
Caption: Your Connection Name here if you want.
Connection By: SQL Server (Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server).
Data Source: Your MSSQL Database Server Name.
Database: Your Database Name.
User Name: User you created to connect to this database.
Password: The User Password for the User.
Click on Test, if the Connection is successful you are good to Go.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE VISUAL ON THE SERVER YOU ARE TRYING TO CONNECT
Save the Analysis and Synchronize.
Create the Setup disk and install on the Web Server.
That is it.!!
Why?
Because of when the WebDev application starts, it will Automatically open the Analysis.
The Analysis will then automatically look at the settings you have provided in the Analysis Connection Settings, and it makes the connection.
That is it, I hope this has help.
Best regards,
Carlos

I created a database using microsoft sqlserver and an application that use the database. The application would be deployed on the client's computer as well as the database.
Do i need to install microsoft sqlserver on my client's computer in order to the database to work?
no, you have just to configure your database to accept connection from other computer, and set the connection string for your server and databse
more explanation :
If I understand your edit, you want to Know if you have to install SqlServer in the Client Machine to run your application;
if this is your real question then yes, the sql server is relational database management system (an engine to manupulate your data base)
and in this case you have to update your string connexion related to the new sqlserver engine name and the path to this engine
I have PhpMyAdmin and MySQL running in Windows 8.
I have installed them using Apache friends XAMPP v 3.1, so I didn’t do any configuration myself.
Currently if I go to localhost/phpmyadmin">http://localhost/phpmyadmin, then it automatically shows my local MySQL db and tables.
That I need is connect to remote server(it has MySQL) and runnig locally in my machine , for teh user of one app.
How can I connect to that server from phpmyadmin.
I’ve been trying to find if there any kind of connect panel in phpmyadmin, but no fruit yet.
For rather severe security reasons applicable servers to connect to are not configured at runtime but in the core configuration file config.inc.php. Otherwise a single hacked database account on an edge server could easily expose the entire network for brute force hacking, or tunneling into LAN-only unsecured databases.
I have created a SSIS Package and now want to deploy it, for that I am required to create the Integration Service Catalog,so I have SQL Server Evaluation Set up in that when I m trying to connect the integration service, I am getting following error,
Connecting to the Integration Services service on the computer
"RESHMAJADHAV"
failed with the following error: "Access is denied."
By default, only administrators have access to the Integration Services service.
On Windows Vista and later,
the process must be running with administrative privileges in
order to connect to the Integration Services service.
See the help topic for information on how to configure access to the service.
Also I have observed that my instance for SQL Server Evaluation edition is RESHMAJADHAV\SQL_SERVER_EVALU but when I am trying to connect this server, then this option is not shown under Integration Services as shown below,
.
I am unable to sort this out, since I am entirely new to this, please explain what can be the solution.
Please make a note, I also have sql server express edition ,but since it doesn't support to create the SSIS Integration service catalog then I installed the SQL Server Evaluation edition .
Also when I am trying to connect via SQL Database as shown in below image,
then while creating the integration service catalog, it is given the following error
Password validation failed.
The password doesn't meet the requirements of password of the password filter DLL.
Change database context to SSISDB.
One fact I have observed, I don't know whether it is related or not but when I am trying to enter password for my system, then also it's giving same error that password doesn't meet the requirement and also when while installing the SQL Server edition, it gave the same error, no doubt my password was very strong and fulfill all the requirements of strong password, currently I am trying to run my SQL Server with windows authentication mode and also I have tried to disable the strong password policies from the administrative tools but it's totally futile....any help will be greatly appreciated.
Go to all programs
Click on Microsoft SQL Server 2012 folder
Right click on SQL Server Management Studio
Click on Run as Administrator
This should take care of problem for now. (With this you need to always repeat the same process). To avoid this every time and for a more persistent solution you need to get permission(s). Please do the following process and you should be good.
In previous versions of SQL Server, by default when you installed SQL Server all users in the Users group had access to the Integration Services service. When you install the current release of SQL Server, users do not have access to the Integration Services service. The service is secure by default. After SQL Server is installed, the administrator must grant access to the service.
To grant access to the Integration Services service
Run Dcomcnfg.exe. Dcomcnfg.exe provides a user interface for modifying certain settings in the registry.
In the Component Services dialog, expand the Component Services > Computers > My Computer > DCOM Config node.
Right-click Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services 11.0, and then click Properties.
On the Security tab, click Edit in the Launch and Activation Permissions area.
Add users and assign appropriate permissions, and then click Ok.
Repeat steps 4 - 5 for Access Permissions.
Restart SQL Server Management Studio.
Restart the Integration Services Service.

I hope this will help
I researched little bit and then I came to know it was actually the problem of HP Security Tool Manager service of HP Laptop which was messing with the password of system,SQL Setup and catalog of Integration Service,I uninstalled it from PC and now my problem is resolved..
look like you don't have a admin privilege.
so start->sql server->right click->run as administrator
it might solve !!!
it's not clear whether this is due to your windows password or the SSISDB encryption password http://fendy-huang.blogspot.com.au/2012/01/sql-server-2012-integration-services.html.
I suggest you think of a very long complicated password with a mixture of upper, lower and punctiation like this:
~~AgFcDeUk17aP9%3(5#hY,lTSs9+
and put that into the encryption field when creating the catalog. If that doesn't get around your error, try changing your windows password to that. The only way to solve thedr things is divide and conquer. Once you know which password is the issue you can attack it further.
this is my first project ^_^
and I have no previous experience.
I did create the database in my project from within the MVC.
Add New Item > SQL Server Database
then I use ADO.NET Entity DataModel
and I don't need to open my connection each time I deal with the database.. it's only the connection string in the Web.config..
my question is :
how can I upload my database?
is there any resource for such beginner as me :$ ?
I did Google it but I found it very hard for me to know if this is what I want or not, that's why I came here :$
It really depends on what type of access you have to your server.
If you have remote desktop access then run remote desktop (mstsc in run) and connect to your server.
This article shows how to install your web application in IIS on server.
This blog post from Scott Guthrie shows you how to deploy your sql database to your server.
In case you only have access to your server via a control panel (plesk) you should still be able to do the same via a different interface. (you need to go through the instructions given for the specific control panel you are using).
Hope this helps.
For ASP.Net website, just upload all files using FTP, in wwwroot folder of your hosting.
For SQL Server database there are following option.
Attach your MDF file on hosting database server (if you have remote desktop).
Generate a script of whole database with full data, schema, and indexes etc. and run the script in query editor of your hosting panel.
First of all create a database from your hosting panel and a user for your database then Use SQL Serer 2008 (R2 most preferable) and connect with your hosting SQL Server using hosting server name in Server name, your db user id in User Name, and same for password. And then connect, you will find a long list of databases including your own database. Now right click on your database and import data from your local database server to remote database server.
i have been having this problem and wondering if u guys could steer me in the right direction. i have created a web app, and i have the .mdf files in the App_Data folder. i have create a web setup project for this. everything installs 100%. But because the server( or machine ) that i install the project on doesnt have user instances because this is disabled by default. how then can i deploy a Database with my installer? bare in mind that this must be a simple installation process, as the end users 9/10 times will not have a DBA, or even knowledge of what a Database is?
Any Ideas?
Thanks in advance...
EDIT: Appearantly user instances are on by default, but only available in SQL Server Express 2005 and earlier. For it to work, it depends on the connection string, which you control:
Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;
AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|\Database1.mdf;
Integrated Security=True;
User Instance=True
You still have to make sure the web server has SQL Server Express installed; if they have SQL Server, you're screwed.
The full details can be found in this MSDN Article.
By the way, you know that user instances is a feature that's being deprecated?
