Modify capabilities in watson virtual agent - ibm-watson

I'm evaluating Watson Virtual Agent, but for Spanish, I see that all the capabilities are "closed" in the sense that cannot include any other sentence for a specific capability.
Using conversations component, during the testing that can be done not programmatically but visually. That feature cannot see it in WVA. Is there any plan for including that?
Thanks, Manuel

Im not sure I follow.
If you create intents/entities/dialogs in conversation, you can utilize them through WVA by connecting your workspace to use custom capabilities.
You are correct that you cannot add your custom capabilities to an existing WVA skill. I would recommend turning off the WVA skill and connecting your custom workspace so you have full control.

How do I create access control

Hi I am new to oracle express application and I am having trouble trying to create access control for different levels of users. I am not the admin, I am just the developer and cannot create users.
So far I have zero users. I want to create users. Not sure if it is possible. I don't have the function available.
The image below shows an error. Don't know how to solve this. I am assuming it is not possible to create access control if I don't have users. I am not sure.
This won't help you right now, and I know you're not in control of this, but you should encourage your teacher or administrators to update the version of Oracle APEX which is being used.
The version you're using (APEX 5.0) implemented access control by creating a table in your database schema. In newer versions of APEX, local access control is embedded as part of the framework itself.
Your instructions may be using a specific curriculum associated with this version of APEX, and it would be time-consuming to update. But please do let them know for future classes that Oracle does provide a completely free curriculum, with a permissive use license.
Here is more information about the curriculum, and here was the blog announcement.

Creating a user-configurable New Relic Plugin

I've been playing around with the New Relic Ruby SDK and created a proof-of-concept plugin which gets data out of Graphite, and sends it to New Relic.
Other plugins I've seen target a well-known set of data (e.g. Apache Requests or CPU load). However, in this case I cannot pre-configure the dashboards for publishing, because the data for each user will be completely different, depending on how they configure it and the data they store on their graphite.
Is there a way to publish a plugin without a pre-configured dashboard / charts?
Every New Relic published plugin necessarily includes a Dashboard. You could record metrics like "Component/Graphite/" and then expose the results generically in your associated dashboard with "Component/Graphite/*". Most likely those won't be very useful graphs.
If you treat this as a Graphite plugin SDK for users who want to easily collect Graphite metrics by configuration, it will make more sense. When doing this, you should make the GUID configurable as well and include clear instructions on changing the GUID for each use of the SDK. That way, users will get their own fresh Dashboards each time their use your SDK.
Yoav, I strongly suggest you do not distribute your plugin agent with a GUID in place (you currently have com.gingerlime.graphite.graphite).
If another user runs your agent with their New Relic license key, and doesn't change the GUID, they will be unable to customize their plugin dashboards, and any customizing you do will not be seen by them.
In other words, un-published plugins should not be distributed publicly - anyone that uses a un-published plugin will have a bad experience (unless they first customize the GUID).

alfresco connect company database external

External database interface - Does Alfresco use point and click integration or is programming required to connect to the DB?
Can we use a 3rd party library like Google's zxing barcode reader to integrate with
Alfresco?
Regards
vish
What do you mean by external database interface? If we're talking about using external databases, then it's just a matter of configuration.
It's generally not a problem to integrate 3rd party libraries. You just have to decide how to do that, e.g. using a custom Java backed web script or a custom action.
No point and click integration. It's build on Java, so you can write a custom Java class. The java class can be run scheduled, via a webscript, via workflow.
Of course, it's open source and fully build on Java, so integrate any 3d party solution into it. But you need to write everything yourself.
already exists a component for Alfresco Share which allow feature #1 with "zero code", in easy and flexible way.
Is available in Alfresco Addons http://addons.alfresco.com/addons/alfresco-metadbconnector-component.
Developed and maintained by VenziaIT (http://venzia.es).
We hope this help to the community.

Detect Salesforce edition and/or capabilities from Apex/VisualForce

From within an Apex class, how can I detect the Edition (ie, Group, Professional, Enterprise, Unlimited). More specifically, is there an API to retrieve the capabilities (or lack thereof) for the user's edition?
The problem I am trying to solve is that from the Group/Professional edition, users cannot access the custom Web Services in my app, receiving the error LOGIN_OAUTH_API_DISABLED. Is there a way to detect whether this is going to work from within Apex?
You can use the following SOQL to determine the Organization's license type:
SELECT OrganizationType FROM Organization
For Professional it will return "Professional Edition". This is detailed on the Organization object page.
Are there any specific capabilities you're looking to discover? There's no way to determine the edition (and this would be mostly a red herring if you could). A lot of differences end up being reflected in the data model, and you can discover that using the describe features.
If you want to check from apex if your web services is enabled/available, then you could use apex callouts to try and make a call to it (and FWIW, the error code is from OAuth, and not from your apex web service)

how to integrate bugzilla and HP quality center?

I'm working on integrating Bugzilla with HP Qc. I'm performing this by using perl script by directly manipulating the database using sql commands. I want to use the web services of Bugzilla. I have gone through the Bugzilla webservice API but tat wasn't enough to get started. I'm a beginner and this is the first project of my career. How do I go about this?
Check out the Perl script bz_webservice_demo.pl in Bugzilla's contrib directory, it shows how to talk to Bugzilla via XMLRPC.
There are a few things you could do:
Export defects from Bugzilla into a spreadsheet and upload it into Quality Center
Use the Open Test Architecture API (OTAClient.dll) to update defects in Quality Center
Use the HP Synchronization Server and build an adapter
Using the HP Synchronizer is probably the only "real" way to do it. Though you could potentially build your own sync mechanism, potentially using just OTA and a message queue.
There may be an existing adapter available from proficom-ag based on a presentation I found via a web search
