I am creating a Visual Flow and I have few address fields which needs to be verified via 3rd part Address Verification javascript library(Smarty Street API). I am not able to find how to invoke this javascript inside my visual flow screen.
However the same address verification API is integrated with one of my VF page but I want to implement the same inside Visual Flow.
Can someone please guide on this?
There is no ability to call JavaScript functions placed on your Visualforce pages from Visual Flow.

I am currently working on the setup page for my custom MS Teams Connector.
For inspiration, I was looking into other companies and one particular thing caught my attention.
Teams usually has at the bottom 2 buttons, like here in my setup page:
I have no Problem communicating with them using the #microsoft/teams-js client SKD and could make my page work like it is now. But I got curious how to do it with custom buttons like other Companies.
For example Trello:
Like you can see they moved the buttons up and also have a login button.
I also need to add authentication form my Connector, so I was wondering if its possible to archive a similar layout for my Connector.
For the Setup page I am using web app created with create react app
So my questions are:
Is this possible using react?
If yes how is it done?
I could not find much documentation regarding this topic.
The behavior is by design. Quite a while back we started giving developers more control in the tab configuration flow and allow them to render their own button within the iframe. Everything within that task module is now controlled by the app.
I built a community visualization with various fields. One field that I'm adding is a URL, composed as the documentation suggests, that links to a filter in another page.
While the URL is fine and working, I cannot use it in a normal link or a form because the iframe in which the community visualization is embedded is sandboxed to allow only scripts.
Is there another way to change the top frame navigation, or switch to another page from within the visualization? Maybe through a javascript call?
Thanks
Community Visualizations do not allow links to external resources, so there's no way to make the visualization act as a link to a filter on another page.
I could not think of a better title, Please suggest one.
I am planning to work on a large web application. It will take time to load the full application before application starts functioning.
Suppose its something like asana.com. If you have a link to the task and you open the link. It loads the application first and then shows the detail of the task.
Note: I have added another example in update 2
I want to do just the opposite. Suppose if I try to open the link directly. It should show me the tasks details first and then load the whole application in background.
What development strategy should I follow to implement such feature. Will angular be good for this? I have worked with angular for small projects and am capable of think in angular :)
I just wanted to be pointed in right direction.
Update 1:
I am using Apache2 PHP5 in backing as ReST API. I am thinking to change to GoLang http server. But that does not matter in this context :)
Update 2:
I have not yet started working on the application, but I know that its size is going to be big and its going to take time to load the application. This will be a javascript application, all the communication to web will be done mostly by API. APIs will be fast and it wont be slowing down the application. My main concern is the javascript library and the approach to the issue that I want to display the content of the page before the application is loaded and load the application in background.
As second example: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/a-journey-through-middle/gjgkjeheegjnnmheaflhdocglkiegoni?utm_source=chrome-ntp-icon
If you open this link in chrome, it will load the application and then load the specific content in a popup. I want to load the content of the popup first and then load the application in background. How should I write my application to achieve that.
My suggestion (and I say this as I start to do similar vs. having proven it successful) would be to make some level of framework fairly static so that users get an almost instant response to the site loaded and then start the angular app with something like this
angular.bootstrap(document.getElementById("container"), ["app"])
Ref for the api - https://docs.angularjs.org/api/ng/function/angular.bootstrap
Ref for a demonstration of this - https://egghead.io/lessons/angularjs-angular-bootstrap-app-init
My expectation then is that you will be able to
Load your static elements quickly (which will just have placeholders for your content/material)
Access the data you want in the order you want to get it to present on the screen
Release any other part of the app you need to chrome it up/decorate or populate side items.
I have a form designed in GUI designer. I call it "Register" to collect information for new member registration. Some how whenever I try to open this form using showForm("Register",null), I get this error -
java.lang.NullPointerException
at java.util.Hashtable.put(Hashtable.java:394)
at com.codename1.ui.util.UIBuilder.getFormState(UIBuilder.java:1711)
at com.codename1.ui.util.UIBuilder.showForm(UIBuilder.java:2195)
at com.codename1.ui.util.UIBuilder.showForm(UIBuilder.java:2263)
I have not been able to find any reason for this. Is Register a reserved name? What other thing can cause this? Please help, I am stuck.
You seem to be using an older version of Codename One, you need to update your client libraries in the preferences.
This can happen if you showed your current form manually (not via the GUI builder), there is a bug in the current version where showForm() tries to get the name of the currently showing form and doesn't check for null. To workaround this just use setName() on the current form or make sure that all your forms are shown via the GUI builder.
My problem is this one, I am using Sharepoint 2010, I have a form created in sharepoint designer 2010, above that form I have a silverlight webpart. Now I need to be able to access information from the silverlight webpart when I click on it and insert that information in the form below it.
Does anyone have any insight on how to do that?
Thank you in advance.
Chris
You can interoperate between javascript, the DOM, and Silverlight. As a result you can do any of the following.
1) In the Silverlight code, programmatically fill in the form using HtmlPage and other items in the System.Windows.Browser namespace.
2) Have your Silverlight app pass the data to javscript function that then fills in the form
3) If your Silverlight app is not initiating the action, you can have a javascript function that calls a function in your Sillverlight app. This article explains that http://blogs.silverlight.net/blogs/msnow/archive/2008/07/08/tip-of-the-day-15-communicating-between-javascript-amp-silverlight.aspx
4) If you are wanting to rely on the Sharepoint WebPart communication channels instead of trying to access the webparts through the DOM, you can also have Silverlight fill a hidden field and then call the javascript postback function. Your code behind on your webpart can then pick up the hidden field data and send the information though the webpart communication channls.
