SNMP subagent application crashes at init_agent()

I have implemented SNMP subagent functionality in my application using net-snmp library (http://www.net-snmp.org/tutorial/tutorial-5/toolkit/demon/).
The application crashes at init_agent() call.
GDB-BackTrace for the same:
#0 0x00002b123483aaa1 in init_traps () from /usr/lib64/libnetsnmpagent.so.10
#1 0x00002b1234835cd0 in init_agent () from /usr/lib64/libnetsnmpagent.so.10
...
The error message at "/var/log/messages":
sample_app.exe[6642]: segfault at 0000000000659de0 rip 00002ac2749c2aa1 rsp 00007fff38c6ec48 error 7
I am using "NET-SNMP version: 5.3.2.2" on CentOS 5.5(elf5) 64Bit. The sample_app code is same as provided in tutorial(http://www.net-snmp.org/tutorial/tutorial-5/toolkit/demon/example-demon.c)
The init_agent() is supposed to take config file name as argument, I have tried passing config file name which has 'correct configuration'/'incorrect configuration'/'file not present', In each case the application crashes with same error.
Please suggest any tools/links which will help me identify the actual cause of the crash. Any link for resolution of similar issue will also be helpful.
Thanks
Edit-
The issue has been resolved. The variable 'snmptrap_oid_len' was being declared/used in application's MIB C code, which is already part of net-snmp library 'agent_trap.c'. This was causing the conflict and hence crash.
PS: If you face similar issue, ensure that variables 'snmptrap_oid' and 'snmptrap_oid_len' are 'not redeclared'/'used correctly' in MIB C code.

Segmentation Fault - 32 / 64 Bit issue?

I am currently working on a small project which captures packets and triggers an external application or script when a specific limit exceeds to handle following steps (which could be for example alerting, null routing etc).
I tried to create a really simple trigger with this code ("trigger" contains the path to binary or script):
char * trigger_complete;
sprintf(trigger_complete, "%s %u %u %s %s %Lf", trigger, data[II].count, data[II].proto, inet_ntoa(data[II].src_ip), inet_ntoa(data[II].dst_ip), rate);
system (trigger_complete);
On my Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS it seems to work without issues, I tested with the "echo" application.
linux-gate.so.1 => (0xb779f000)
libpcap.so.0.8 => /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libpcap.so.0.8 (0xb7752000)
libc.so.6 => /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 (0xb75a8000)
/lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xb77a0000)
On a Debian Wheezy and an instance of "grml" I receive Segmentation Fault when executing the binary. (I verified that this issue is caused by the piece of code above by commenting it out and re-try.)
linux-vdso.so.1 => (0x00007fff875ff000)
libpcap.so.0.8 => /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpcap.so.0.8 (0x00007fa9c6048000)
libc.so.6 => /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 (0x00007fa9c5cbe000)
/lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 (0x00007fa9c608d000)
The only difference I see is the architecture, the Ubuntu system is a 32 bit os while the Debian is a 64 bit os.
I am not sure if this is the issue, but it seems like it is.
Can anyone help me out with this?
Thank you in advance!
Since feature requests to mark a comment as an answer remain declined, I copy the above solution here.

I am Using Netbeans with C/C++ Plugin on Windows 7 x86 System. I am getting Error when debugging the code. But when I run the code, it runs with out any problem.. As soon as I start debugging the code, it stops at 2-3 Lines before "main()" application.. And getting debugger error as follow :

Emacs lisp - problems with filename-string on win7

On Win7 with Emacs24 I encounter problems when Emacs programs want to open (pdf) files. The problems remain when I activate or deactivate openwith-mode. I either get a 'wrong-type-argument arrayp nil' message inside Emacs or Acrobat Reader is started but gives an error message 'can't open/find that file'.
I tried to debug it and always ended up in files.el.
It seems that the name of the pdf-file to be opened is constructed by concatenating the absolute filename and the file extension .pdf. However, the filename-string given to AcroRd32 appears to look like this:
AcroRd32 "c:\\absolute\file\name".pdf
This doesn't work on the command line either. I have to change it (manually) to
AcroRd32 "c:\\absolute\file\name.pdf"
or to
AcroRd32 c:\\absolute\file\name.pdf
to make it work.
I don't know if this is considered a bug, or if it is a problem only for me. I tried to change the elisp code to something like
(format "%s" (concat absolute-filename file-extension))
to get rid of those double-quotes, but to no avail. And anyway, I don't feel comfortable to mess around in a basic library like files.el, and its really hard to edebug that library since its invoked permanently.
Maybe somebody encountered the same problem and found a solution?
[I use GNU Emacs 24.0.91.1 (i386-mingw-nt6.1.7601) of 2011-11-22 on MARVIN.]
PS 1 Test Case 1
I get the following error message when I do M-x toggle-debug-on-error and then try to open a pdf file in dired:
Debugger entered--Lisp error: (wrong-type-argument arrayp nil)
file-truename(nil)
find-file-noselect-1(#<buffer test.pdf<4>> "~/.emacs.d/org/projects/sandbox/test.pdf" nil nil "~/.emacs.d/org/projects/sandbox/test.pdf" ((2816 7 . 27468) (16087 . 35227)))
find-file-noselect("c:/Users/tj2/.emacs.d/org/projects/sandbox/test.pdf" nil nil nil)
find-file("c:/Users/tj2/.emacs.d/org/projects/sandbox/test.pdf")
dired-find-file()
call-interactively(dired-find-file nil nil)
and the following message:
Openwith mode enabled
find-file-noselect-1: Wrong type argument: arrayp, nil
Does it matter that my .emacs.d is really a windows symlink (mklink) to a Dropboxfolder?
PS 2 Test Case 2
here is the message I get in the maven-compile buffer, when doing C-c C-s (LilyPond-command-view) in a ,ly buffer:
-*- mode: compilation; default-directory: "~/.emacs.d/org/projects/sandbox/" -*-
Compilation started at Tue Dec 20 09:16:28
AcroRd32 "c:/Users/tj2/.emacs.d/org/projects/sandbox/2test".pdf
Compilation exited abnormally with code 1 at Tue Dec 20 09:16:35
In the message buffer I find
Compilation exited abnormally with code 1
Error during redisplay: (invalid-regexp "Unmatched ( or \\(")
This error doesn't trigger the debugger, although I did M-x toggle-debug-on-error.
Sounds like a bug, to me. Consider reporting it: M-x report-emacs-bug.
Dunno why Michael H. sent you to a Sunrise Commander page with a tip about OpenWith. Perhaps I'm missing something in your question where you indicate that you use one of those packages?
I would suggest reporting an Emacs bug. And if you want to see more about opening Windows apps associated with file types etc. then I'd suggest consulting this page.
This seems to be a problem with openwith.el, so I don't think you'll get much help with an Emacs bug report since openwith.el is not part of Emacs.
I've found a similar error (I'm on Linux) and decided that it would be better to use a "cleaner" alternative that doesn't tweak find-file-noselect (see that page on emacs.sxe for why). The OpenWith wiki page pointed me to a less-popular little bit of glue code,
https://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/download/run-assoc.el (code)
https://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/RunAssoc (docs)
By default this package's run-associated-program is not well-integrated with the usual Emacs workflow, but here is how you can integrate it with helm-find-files (also documented at the above link).
(require 'run-assoc)
(setq associated-program-alist
'(("evince" "\\.pdf$")
("play" "\\.mp3$")))
(defun helm-find-files-maybe-run-assoc (orig-fun &rest args)
(let ((sel (helm-get-selection)))
(if (string-match (mapconcat
(lambda (x) (second x))
associated-program-alist "\\|")
(helm-get-selection))
(run-associated-program sel)
(apply orig-fun args))))
(advice-add 'helm-execute-selection-action

WinDbg issues only in Windows 7

I'm pretty new to using WinDbg, but recently my application started having issues, but only on Windows 7 machines (it runs fine the first time the PC is started but crashes or just disappears silently each time after).
I got the mdmp file, but find myself somewhat lacking on how best to extract the data I need from it. I got the following analysis (might be doing it wrong)...
Can anyone hopefully help shed some light on my issue or if I'm running the analysis incorrectly:

You may want to use this article as a starting point: SOS: It's Not Just an ABBA Song Anymore
It looks like your application is a .NET application, make sure you've got the right .NET Framework installed. When you load the sos.dll file into windbg, you may have to provide a full path. Also, you can set up access to the public microsoft symbol servers to help with some of your stack tracing. This article may help: Debugging Tools and Symbols: Getting Started. Make sure you've got the latest version of the debugging tools.
!analyze will give you some information about the fault, but not too much else. You should look at the first article to see what else is going on.
Posting some information about your application will also help people see if you are having a similar issue.
It looks like the fault is happening in your ViewModelBase.cs file. You may want to add some logging (using log4net or similar tool) to catch the exception and print out the stack trace. You can also hook into AppDomain.CurrentDomain.UnhandledException event (or the Application.DispatcherUnhandledException event for WPF applications) to catch anything that's getting thrown and printing out something to a log file. In this case, you won't need to resort to WinDbg to figure out what's going on.
Well after several weeks of searching (maybe more), it turns out that when using Trend Micro Corporate, XP to Server 2003 is fine, Vista and Windows 7 to 2003 is fine, and even XP/Vista to server 2008 is fine, but (and I have no idea why), when using Windows 7 and trying to run a network application using a UNC path in the shortcut, it blocks certain pieces of the network traffic for that application, and it does so sporadically and what seems to be without any sound logic. I can't say why as we never quite figured out what exactly the catalyst was for setting off Trend, but I do know that when we disabled Trend, all was back to normal (something I wished we tried sooner). We found that by mapping a drive to our share and changing our shortcuts on our users workstations to use the mapped drive rather than a UNC path, the issue was averted.
Hopefully no one else runs into this problem, but if they do, this will perhaps shed some light on the issue.
Thank you!
Aj
