Angular Directive in dynamic kendo table column template - angularjs

I have a dynamic kendo table that created on the angular controller,
the table is created after click event,
in some of the table columns there is angular directive.
the directive not compiled, the template not work,I get blank cell.
code:
$("#grid" + index).kendoGrid({
dataSource: {
transport: {
read: {
url: context.param.url.GetData(),
type: "post",
dataType: "json",
data:
function () {
return {
FromDate: obj.CalcDate,
ToDate: obj.CalcDate,
}
}
}
},
schema: {
data: "Data",
total: "Total"
},
pageSize: 5,
serverPaging: true,
serverSorting: true,
serverFiltering: true
},
scrollable: false,
sortable: true,
pageable: true,
columns: [
{
field: "AgregationProgramSum",
title: resource["Productivity_Company_GridAgregationProgramSum"],
template: "<div custom-directive=#: AgregationProgramSum # ></div>"
},
]
});
I see in the chorme debbuger that the values came well. bur the directive not happens

Where is the code for your directive? You should only have to "use" your directive in the template of your grid.
Here is my directive:
angular.module("KendoDemos")
.directive('myDirective', function($compile) {
return {
restrict: 'E',
scope: {
list: '='
},
template: '<div ng-repeat="item in list">{{item.name}}</div>',
replace: true,
//require: 'ngModel',
link: function($scope, elem, attr, ctrl) {
}
};
});
Here is my grid columns using directive:
columns: [{
field: "FirstName",
title: "First Name",
width: "120px"
},{
field: "LastName",
title: "Last Name",
width: "120px"
},{
field: "Country",
width: "120px",
hidden: true
},{
field: "City",
width: "120px"
},{
field: "Title",
template: "<my-directive data-list='paint'></my-directive>"
}],
Here is working Dojo. Perhaps there is something wrong with your directive. It is difficult to say with actually seeing your code. Hope this helps.

Kendo UI Grid with Angular Web Api Multi-dimensional model

I am trying to use serverPaging with the Kendo UI grid. In order to pass the total pages. I am passing a model which consists of the data list, and the total count. My problem is that I can't figure out how to parse the model in the Kendo grid.
Here is my Controller code:
$scope.mainGridOptions = {
dataSource: {
transport: {
read: {
url: '/SSQV4/SSQV5/Search/GetSearch',
type: "GET"
}
},
schema: {
total: "Total"
},
pageSize: 25,
serverPaging: true
},
sortable: true,
pageable: true,
resizable: true,
columns: [{
field: "CompanyID",
title: "Company ID"
}, {
field: "CompanyName"
}, {
field: "City"
}, {
field: "State"
}, {
field: "Deficiencies"
}]
};
The data returned is a list ("results"), and the recordcount ("Total"). Normally, I would use a service to get the data and parse the two like below:
myService.GetSearch()
.success(function(data)){
$scope.myDataList = data.results;
$scope.myDataCount = data.Total;
})
I cannot figure out how to use "results" and "Total" in the Kendo Grid when it is returned by my web api.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
I figured this one out. I had to add "results" to the schema. This worked:
$scope.mainGridOptions = {
dataSource: {
transport: {
read: {
url: '/SSQV4/SSQV5/Search/GetSearch',
type: "GET"
}
},
schema: {
data: "results",
total: "Total"
},
pageSize: 25,
serverPaging: true
},
sortable: true,
pageable: true,
resizable: true,
columns: [{
field: "CompanyID",
title: "Company ID"
}, {
field: "CompanyName"
}, {
field: "City"
}, {
field: "State"
}, {
field: "Deficiencies"
}]
};

A button on each row of Kendo ui Grid that expands detail view

I am using angular and Kendo ui Grid. I have a custom button on each row which i need it bound to a function that expand the detail view. Below is the grid options.
Please help
$scope.mainGridOptions = {
dataSource: financialYearsDataSource(),
sortable: true,
selectable: true,
columnMenu: true,
columns: [
{ field: "FinYearName", title: "Year Name", width: "150px" },
{field: "StartDate", title: "*Start Date", type: "date", format: "{0:dd-MM-yyyy}", width: "150px"},
{field: "EndDate", title: "*End Date", type: "date", format: "{0:dd-MM-yyyy}", width: "150px"},
{field: "Remarks", title: "*Remarks", editor: descriptionEditor, hidden:true},
{
command: [
{name: "edit"},
{name: "destroy"},
{
text: " Expand/Collapse",
click: $scope.expandToggle,
className: "fa fa-map-marker"
},
], title: " ", width: "300px"
}],
editable: {
mode: "popup"
},
pageable: {
pageable: true,
refresh: true
},
detailExpand: function (e) {
this.collapseRow(this.tbody.find(' > tr.k-master-row').not(e.masterRow));
}
};
Here is the toggle function that needs to do the toggling
$scope.expandToggle = function (e) {
e.preventDefault();
$scope.myGrid.expandRow($(this));
var dataItem = this.dataItem($(e.currentTarget).closest("tr"));}
Here is a jsfiddle demo:http://jsfiddle.net/akimaina/ay3vv2cm/2/
I have updated your fiddle. Please check if this solves.
http://jsfiddle.net/ay3vv2cm/3/
$("#grid").on("click",".clsExpand", function(e){
$("#grid").data("kendoGrid").expandRow($(e.currentTarget).closest("tr"));
});

nested kendo grid - binding detailInit with data from service call

I have a angular directive which returns the kendo grid data source values (which is gridDataDisplayed). With the same data source, i have to bind it to a nested grid in detailInit.
scope.gridsource = new kendo.data.DataSource({
pageSize: options.pSize,
transport: {
read: function (options) {
scope.getDataMethod({ pageDetails: options }).then(function (gridDataDisplayed) {
options.success(gridDataDisplayed);
}, function (error) {
//error
});
}
},
detailInit: detailInitMethod
});
In the detailInitMethod i have the use the same data returned from service call and display only few columns from "gridDataDisplayed". How can i bind this to nested grid?
In my directive the template code is:
template: '<div><kendo-grid k-options="gridOptions" k-data-source="gridDataSource"></kendo-grid></div>',
Thanks in advance.
You can use the detail-template directive. Here is how:
<div ng-controller="MyCtrl">
<kendo-grid options="mainGridOptions" k-data-source="gridDataSource">
<div k-detail-template>
<div kendo-grid k-options="detailGridOptions"></div>
</div>
</kendo-grid>
</div>
<script>
angular.module("KendoDemos", [ "kendo.directives" ])
.controller("MyCtrl", function($scope){
$scope.gridDataSource = {
type: "odata",
transport: {
read: "//demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/service/Northwind.svc/Employees"
},
pageSize: 5,
serverPaging: true,
serverSorting: true
};
$scope.mainGridOptions = {
sortable: true,
pageable: true,
dataBound: function() {
this.expandRow(this.tbody.find("tr.k-master-row").first());
},
columns: [{
field: "FirstName",
title: "First Name",
width: "120px"
},{
field: "LastName",
title: "Last Name",
width: "120px"
}]
};
$scope.detailGridOptions = {
scrollable: false,
sortable: true,
dataSource: $scope.gridDataSource,
pageable: true,
columns: [
{ field: "City", title:"City", width: "56px" },
{ field: "Address", title:"Address", width: "110px" }
]
};
});
</script>

Updating cell data in ui-grid without page refresh

I have a table that I made using ui-grid. The table displays information about a list of news stories. In the final column, I am giving the user the ability to edit, delete, and/or make a news story.
Everything seems to be working fine with that - I am able to have a modal pop up, and after entering in the required information, I can see my data change on the server. If I refresh the page, I can also see my data change on the table. However, I would like the cell data to change without page refresh. It doesn't seem to be binding to my news data.
Here is the ui-grid:
$scope.news = getAdminNews.results;
/**
* ui-grid implementation
*/
$scope.gridOptions = {
data: 'news',
enableColumnResizing: true,
enableFiltering: true,
enableGridMenu: false,
enableColumnMenus: false,
paginationPageSizes: [25,50,75],
paginationPageSize: 25,
rowHeight: 75
};
$scope.gridOptions.columnDefs = [{
displayName: 'Title',
field: 'title.rendered',
filterCellFiltered: true,
sortCellFiltered: true,
width: '20%'
}, {
displayName: 'Body',
field: 'body',
width: '20%'
}, {
displayName: 'Created',
field: 'created',
type: 'date',
cellFilter: 'date:"yyyy-MM-dd"',
filterCellFiltered: true,
sortCellFiltered: true,
width: '20%',
sort: {
priority: 0
}
},
{
displayName: 'Actions',
displayName: 'Actions',
width: '20%',
enableSorting: false,
enableFiltering: false,
field: 'actions',
cellTemplate: 'table-cell-actions'
}
];
$scope.gridOptions.onRegisterApi = function(gridApi) {
$scope.gridApi = gridApi;
};
And one part of my controller which is working successfully:
$scope.newPost = function() {
ngDialog.openConfirm({
template: 'modalPostNew',
className: 'ngdialog-theme-default',
scope: $scope
}).then(function() {
var newPost = {
"id": 0,
"title": $scope.newPostForm.title
}
AdminNews.save(newPost);
toaster.pop('success', 'Updated', 'News item updated successfully.');
});
}
I needed to update my $scope.news data that ui-grid was populating the table with. Here is what my controller looks like now:
$scope.newPost = function() {
ngDialog.openConfirm({
template: 'modalPostNew',
className: 'ngdialog-theme-default',
scope: $scope
}).then(function() {
var newPost = {
"id": 0,
"title": $scope.newPostForm.title
}
AdminNews.save(newPost).$promise.then(function(response) {
var myObj = {
"id": response.data.id,
"title": {
"rendered": response.data.title
}
}
$scope.news.push(myObj);
});
toaster.pop('success', 'Updated', 'News item updated successfully.');
});
}
