Failure on SSDT-BI Setup - sql-server

Don't know if this is the right place for this but here it goes.
I'm trying to install SSDT on a Azure VM with Visual Studio installed, but I have had no luck. It runs for about 5 seconds, then sends me to the log file. The log file looks like:

From what I can tell it looks like it cant connect to the URL https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=817266&clcid=0x409. But when I open a browser and navigate to that URL directly, it downloads the exe with no problem.
Any suggestions on how to fix?

The installer can't download, a workaround is to download the iso and install from that, see the answer.


Diagnosis: During the installation process of SSDT, a few components must are supposed to be downloaded (i.e. the links in your log file represents one of those). Your virtual machine attempts to download such files through Internet Explorer (IE). However, by default the IE Enhanced Security Option is enabled. As a result, this stops you from downloading the required tools.
Solution: Log in your virtual machine, launch "Server Manager", select "Local Server" on the right, turn off "IE Enhanced Security Configuration".

I had SQL Server Management Studio v17.6 and uninstall it; now I want to install version v18.6.
But I can't. I get an error 0x800b0003.
Even though I tried v17.6 version again, I'm still getting the same error.
I already tried all these solutions and I don't know what is wrong:

look at your update section in windows see if there are any update
and do those update

SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) Setup Failed (0x800B010C)

I am trying to install SSMS on my Windows 10 machine. However, any version 18.0 or greater gives me an error:
A certificate was explicitly revoked by its issuer (0x800B010C).
With version 18.0, the installer executable lists a revoked certificate in its properties, but the newer versions do not.
I have tried installing the solution here but no luck, still the same error. I have run all Windows Updates and tried disabling my AV (BitDefender).
It may be worth noting that version 17.x installs fine, with no issue.

step 2: Restart your PC,
step 3: Download in sql server in microsoft offical web page,
step 4: Download finished ,
step 5: Download and install sql server in version 18.11.1

gcloud preview app deploy returns 400 error

Trying to deploy some static content to GAE, since they removed the push-to-deploy pipeline feature. I've setup a brand new project. It's in the US region. Did gcloud auth login again. Still getting the same response.

You might have to set the project id again if you have disabled/removed previous application from google cloud console.
gcloud config set project PROJECT_ID

The generic issue is that the error did not have a message.
Starting in the cloud SDK release tomorrow, the reason for whatever error (billing issue, not enough quota, whatever) will be displayed, so please try to get the newer cloud SDK tomorrow.

For me I hadn't enabled billing in Compute > Compute Engine > VM instances on my Google Console project. It works now!

If you have appcfg.py installed, you can run that to deploy and it will give the exact error message, I found mine to be an invalid api_version for the java runtime (to which i can't find the valid number and 1 isn't it)

My initial deployment was fine and after I uploaded the update, it started to fail and get the same errors as you did. I found the issue with oauth. Logout from google and running:
$ gcloud auth login
After relogin, I was able to deploy. No re-coding or Managed VM setting changes were done.

When I try to deploy my application, I get this error: ERROR appcfg.py:2149 An error occurred processing file '': HTTP Error 401: Unauthorized. Aborting.
I provide my login and password correctly but I am not able to deploy my application.
Any solution?
