Is it possible to trigger Alexa remotely i.e I have a scenario where based on some action on Mobile App Alexa should be triggered and the response provided will be read out by echo dot.

There's no way to trigger a response without the user interacting with the Alexa-enabled device. But it looks like this may be changing soon: https://www.theverge.com/2017/5/16/15647074/alexa-notifications-being-added-amazon-echo
Currently there isn't a way to trigger a response from the device without interacting with the device it's self. Even skills created for the device by third parties currently only have access to get a response immediately (approximately with-in 10 seconds) after an interaction.

I’m trying to create an Alexa capability that creates reminders without user voice invocation. To achieve this Alexa suggested to use “Out of session” interaction event i.e Skill Messaging API (https://api.amazonalexa.com/v1/skillmessages/users/{userId}), as you can see in the API we need to pass the user Id, In order to get the user Id Alexa suggest to do first account-linking, once linking is done we’ll get the user profile access including userId. Now, after hitting the Skill Messaging API with received userId, it returns
{type:”not_found”, a message ”invalid user Id”}.
Not sure where am I going wrong. Has anyone phase the same problem.

I'm currently working on a project that detects when someone is listening to a song on Spotify and sends a message to that person based upon that song being in a playlist.
I couldn't see a spotipy function to get this data, even though I can see it on the spotify application itself, any pointers?
Accessing friends' activity feed is something that many people have been requesting for a long time, however Spotify does not seem to have any plan to open it up unfortunately.
Currently, the only existing workaround I am aware of is to scrape the internal API used by the client, as is done here: https://github.com/valeriangalliat/spotify-buddylist
Another option for your project would be to use last.fm APIs if the user is on it and you know the handle -- which is less than ideal of course.
I'm designing a custom team tab using React that calls third party API, I need after executing the API successfully, user gets notified . What is the best way to achieve this? I used Bot in my project, but not sure how can I call it from my custom tab class. I'm aware of the existence of proactive messaging, is it the only way to do it? If it is, a pointer on how to implement it to a custom tab would be appreciated.
If you're wanting to message the user 1-1 (like in the personal app), then proactive messaging is definitely what you need (inside a Team, there are other options), and considering you have the bot already in place that's perfect. The only thing you might be missing are the details required to send the actual proactive message (the best time to get them is when the bot is first installed by the user). In particular, you need ConversationId and ServiceUrl.
With regards the concept of Proactive Messaging, basically once the bot is installed, and you have the required values, you can -send- the message from any backend code at all. That can include, for example, custom tab's backend api. You need to identify the user, which you can do using the Teams Context (it's not the safest way but it's the easiest), and then look up the values in your own backend store (e.g. database or whatever) to get the ConversationId and ServiceUrl, then just message the user in your backend.
I'm building an app using MEAN Stack (something like Facebook). So a user can login to my app using different browsers and I want for example, if there user will add a new message to the MongoDB, I want to update his messages in the other sessions. The same of he will remove a massage. At the same time, there maybe logged in different users from different browsers and I want to notify the user with his update in the other sessions.
Does Socket.io supports such an option? And what is the best way to do it?

You should be looking for socket.on() which are the listeners for an event on the server side and look into socket.emit() which are the senders of the events. the .emit()could be added into an function which are triggered on a button click for example.
Depending on you needs, if you're going to send the message to every user using your app then you could use this above code. But if you only wants to send to a specific list of persons you should look into something called Rooms (http://socket.io/docs/rooms-and-namespaces/#rooms).
This does exactly what it sounds like, it emits the messages to the specific room where users have been added to when they connect to your application.
I am trying to develop a solution to following problem. I need to store in db information about time when user logged in and is on page. Currently I am writing to db when user login and logout with WCF service, but how to deal with situation when user closes window or goes to other webpage.
I am wondering if threaded function which calls every user every minute to check if he's alive is a good solution. Any help will be nice. Thanks.
If You can wait for data a bit(depending on Your aplication usage), You could save data to IsolatedStorage, and send it when user starts application again. It's pretty simple solution, but You will have to wait for data and some data will be lost, if user don't open application again(Again, depends on Your app).
Other solution would be sending data from JavaScript (How to call WCF from JS) during OnUnload or OnBeforeUnload event. Or even doing a simple HttpRequest from JS to some aspx site, passing time in query.
EDIT: Another thread is a nice idea(I have solution like this in my current project) but running it too often can clog IIS (depend on number of users, bandwidth etc). It also will prevent Session from timing out, even if user does nothing (that's main purpose for using this solution in my project).
