Handwriting/drawing in Angular 2/Ionic 2 app? - mobile

I need to capture a hand signature from the user written in the screen of a mobile device with a stylus.
The result should be stored as a vectorial or bitmap image.
How could I do this? Is there some library for typescript?

You can use the Signature Pad library. Please take a look at this demo.
You can also find a tutorial here (it's for angular1, but it may help as well).

can i scale a react component like an SVG

i have a website where i had a pdf preview as a react component, the pdf should be in real dimension, all works smooth until I start working on making the website responsive, I didn't know wt to do exactly with the pdf preview, I have an idea to scale the whole component up and down like we do with an SVG but idk if that's possible to do
I think you better use a library to preview the PDF.Since you want to make it responsive without affecting the preview. You may make use of libraries like react-pdf. This library may generate PDF files from a URL, a local file within the project, or a base64 encoded version.
And i found this article useful.
Hope this may help you!
And as you have mentioned you have some troubles installing react-pdf it's not very compatible with webpack5that is mostly due to Buffer dependency.
Refer to thsi :react-pdf issues
Without knowing the exact error, it's so difficult to help, so be more specific when you are asking questions.

How to extract metadata from an image

I'm a newbie to codenameone. I'm trying to develop some image-processing app. I need to know if the image has geotagging information and eventually extract those. Is there a way to do that in CodenameOne?
I'm aware of the methods based on plain javax.imageio packages, but I know that those are not available in codenameone.
Thanks for any hints!
We don't have such an API as it's pretty different between Android/iOS. You can write something like this in pure Java and parse the image header which should be relatively simple.
Or you can build a cn1lib on top of native code e.g. see this library, It does that for video which is arguably harder.

React pdf generator with transform, scale, rotate and more

I'm testing and looking forward into some solutions like react-pdf and others. But what I really need is to use css properties like transform, translate and more like scale and rotate for example.
Do You heard about som kinda solutions, maybe someone just used something like?
I'll be grateful for any advice.
For all future searcher:
I tried react-pdf and html-pdf, but they were not solutions that would suit me completely.
There was always a lack of either transition, transform or svg support. In addition, they required writing an additional pdf template from which to generate.
So, ultimately, I used a node library called Puppeteer, based on chromium, thanks to which you can generate a pdf just like in the preview on the chrome browser, and regardless of which browser we use.
Puppeter is in fact a Headless Chrome ('running Chrome without chrome') solution, which enters the address we want and performs actions without the participation of the user, in this case writing to a pdf file.

Is there a react signature pad which allows both type characters or draw signature

I want to use digital signature for my react web application.I came across react signature_pad but it has the functionality to draw the signature alone.
Is there any react library which allows to type the name in a fancy font as well as provides an option to draw the signature
From what I know, currently there isn't a library can do this for you. But a workaround is that you may consider Cursive Writing Fonts to change fonts into signature for your users.
Example of a list of signature fonts can be found at:
https://www.1001fonts.com/cursive-fonts.html
You can dynamically change fonts to show different signature style for your users based on the name they provide. Hope it helps.

Google Earth API in Silverlight Application

I have been handed over a Silverlight 4 application that uses the Google Earth API. We have an issue with newer versions of Google Earth: In Internet Explorer, the map displays as a white background with the text "ATL 10.00". In other browsers, the background is just white (cannot see any text).
It works with Google Earth version 6.0.3.2197 but not in any version after that.
I have read this thread
- but none of the suggestions there worked. I must note, though, that the JavaScript code for initializing GE in Silverlight is rather complex, but as far as I can se, the initialization of GE is done in the google.setOnLoadCallback function.
It would be nice, if someone knows what exactly the "ATL 10.00" message means.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
EDIT
Please let me know if I should clarify in further detail.
UPDATE:
The problem was caused by 2 things and probably a combination of the two:
1. The container for the map was added dynamically with JavaScript into another div
2. The container's width and height was set to 0 in order to hide the map.
So, the solution for me was to render the containing div together with the rest of the DOM. In order to "hide" the map, I positioned it absolute beyond the bounds of the screen.
Hope this can guide others to solve similar problems.
ATL in referring to the Active Template Library in Windows. ATL in Windows is a set of template-based C++ classes that let developers create COM objects (rather like MFC and ActiveX).
10.00 here simply refers to version of ATL being used. Seeing it probably means that the COM object (GEPlugin in this case) has not been created or initialised properly in the browser. The blank screen with the version number in the centre is what the plugin looks like before it loads content.
So, it is not really an error message at all - indeed one could say it is really the failure of an error message to appear that you are seeing.
Anyhow, to answer your question in simple terms it means than the version of ATL that was used to create the plugin was version 10.00.
In practical terms it means that the plugin failed to initialise properly for some reason.
