I am trying to run a service with in google app engine. I used this command to run the local app engine development server gor Go and run the admin service.
goapp serve -admin_port 8081 admin
But it gives me error of "No default module found. Ignoring."

Also I troubleshoot everything I saw on stackoverflow and tried all options with similar problem but still not working, i tried this option 1 and this options 2 but still no working effects.
My steps:
On GCP I am the owner of the project,I created Compute engine VM instance, then SQL Postgres instance, and a new Postgres database with user, I added the public IP address of the VM in the configurations of the SQL Instance as authorized network, and deployed the app.yaml and Dockerfile with gcloud app deploy. Any working solutons?

I fixed the issue. I just change the metabase version, it always has to be the newest. 0.36.6 at this moment

I have already enabled billing api, app engine admin api and storage api. Service a/c that is being used has editor rights. VM instance has been created using cloud launcher for Jenkins Bitnami package. I am trying to deploy app from command line from the vm before I configure Jenkins to do the same.
What to do to resolve this?
The problem is that gcloud app deploy is trying to deploy to the project id 'project-id', which cannot be your project id.
Try setting the project like this:
gcloud config set project MY-PROJECT-ID
Then, retry the gcloud app deploy command.
If this fails, please reply with your full gcloud command line, and the results of these two commands:
gcloud config list
gcloud version

apparently there is problem with SSL but I have no idea how to solve it, and I'm quite desperate at the moment :)

Are you using homebrew Python on OS X? If so, there's an existing bug for OpenSSL and Docker here.
The easiest way around this is to temporary use a virtualenv with system python.
pip install virtualenv
virtualenv ~/system-python-env
source ~/system-python-env
gcloud preview app deploy ...
You can get at a short-lived SSL with "gcloud docker --authorize-only". Then immediately do your "gcloud preview app deploy..".
gcloud docker --authorize-only
gcloud preview app deploy app.yaml --promote
I'm running GAE dev server within a Vagrant guest precise64 box with the following network setup (in my Vagrantfile):
Vagrant.configure(VAGRANTFILE_API_VERSION) do |config|
config.vm.network :forwarded_port, guest: 8080, host: 9090
end
Which does its thing:
[default] Forwarding ports...
[default] -- 8080 => 9090 (adapter 1)
I start my App Engine server with:
goapp serve
or
dev_appserver.py myappfolder
This starts app engine dev server as expected:
INFO 2013-11-22 dispatcher.py] Starting module running at: http://localhost:8080
In all cases, I'm able to ssh in to the Vagrant guest and curl localhost:8080 successfully.
Unfortunately, from the host I'm unable to get a response from localhost:9090 when running GAE dev web server. Additionally, I've made sure that I don't have anything interfering with the port 9090 on the host machine. Also, I'm almost positive this isn't related to Vagrant as I spun up a quick node.js web server on 8080 and was able to reach it from the host. What am I missing?!!!
You must run the Google App Engine Go dev web server on 0.0.0.0 when leveraging Vagrant port forwarding. Like so:
goapp serve -host=0.0.0.0
See the answers here for more info on ensuring the guest web server is not bound to 127.0.0.1 which is loopback. Web servers that bind to 127.0.0.1 (like App Engine Go dev web server does) by default should be overridden to use 0.0.0.0.
I'm on Win 8 x64, Python 2.7
Steps I followed:
Downloaded, installed python.
Downloaded, installed Google App Engine Launcher.
Created new application with name helloworld-kg on the app engine site.
In Launcher, File > Create New Application > entered the name of app and browsed to the directory.
Hit Run, wait for light to turn green.
Click Browser. Get a blank page on localhost:8080
Here's the log from launcher:

I'm new with Python and GAE. This is for Udacity's CS 253 course.
Possible solutions?
Got it to work. Apparently, GAEL was creating a new app for me. A re-install solved the problem. App is working fine now!
