Hi I am very new to Salesforce, the below is what I am trying to achieve.
I am using a machine learning algorithm in Python, and result of this needs to be displayed in salesforce app.
Currently this data to be displayed resides in a place in a different server.
Is it possible to display data not residing in salesforce in salesforce app (Without creating new fields in salesforce) ?
Please help.
Thanks in advance
If you don't need any interactions of your Python app with Salesforce logic, you can integrate an with the Salesforce UI using Force.com Canvas.
But if data from Python app should to be processed by some logic in SF, I think you need to use Salesforce API for integration. But it's way which you want to avoid.

Context
I'm a web development beginner building a MERN stack web-app to help school clubs manage applicants. I want users to be able to input a link to Google Sheet generated from their Google Form and be able to see a cleaner, properly formatted version of their data.
Exploration
From my research, it looks like most solutions:
Involve people wanting to automate their own sheets (and therefore being able to use the Google Sheets script editor)
Make use of Tabletop.js, which will soon be deprecated. I looked into PapaParse but really couldn't figure out how to solve my problem using it.
Use MongoDB Stitch, which also relies on accessing the Google Sheets script editor
Require users to download the file as a CSV file (which is non-ideal for live updates)
It also seems like the Google Sheets API requires the user to have access to the script editor? I might not be interpreting the docs correctly. Would having users authenticate/login to my web app through Google be able to overcome this problem?
My Goal
User pastes the link to their Google Sheets (with view access or published to the web) in my React app
My React app parses the Sheets data and stores it in MongoDB Atlas
[Optional] Update the MongoDB database whenever the original sheet is updated (There is no need for MongoDB to communicate back with the sheet.)
Thank you, any help is much appreciated!
Try out Zapier.
It has a Google Sheets + MongoDB integration.
https://zapier.com/apps/google-sheets/integrations/mongodb
One way you could possibly achieve this is to:
link your Google Sheets account to Zapier, then
collect the links through your React app,
duplicate the sheet from that link
set Zapier to watch for that trigger when a new sheet is duplicated, to pass on the data to MongoDB
I have the requirement to get the image of the dashboard to reproduce it in the another app connected to Salesforce. How can I able to get the image? Is there any API for that?
I have searched in the workbench for the similar API to meet my requirement. But I can't able to find anything that meets my requirement.
Thanks in advance
The API you need to interact with Salesforce reporting is the Reports and Dashboards REST API.
This API does not provide functionality to produce an image file. However, you can get the dashboard results, which your application can then interpret and render. Note that the "fact map" data structure returned by Salesforce is fairly complex.
I am trying to Process AAS tabular model using Azure logic app and trying to read status back. I can do this using refreshId manually.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/analysis-services/analysis-services-async-refresh
Any Idea How would i retrieve last refreshId dynamically in azure logic app?

My recommendation would be to simplify your architecture and eliminate the Logic App if you aren't already heavily using Logic Apps. It's not because we don't like Logic Apps. It is just good to simplify the moving parts in an architecture.
It is possible to processing Azure Analysis Services models via ADFv2 with native components. There's no need to use Logic Apps or Azure Batch for custom .NET activities. You can use native activities like Web Activity and Lookup Activity.
You are correct that looking up the refreshID is a bit more complex than it should be. The API to start a refresh asynchronously should return the refreshID in the body of the response and I've provided this feedback here. Please vote for it. In the interim, it's possible to get all the refreshes in the last 30 days and then filter down to the one which started most recently.
I have published an ADFv2 pipeline which uses native activities here. Please give this a try and see if it meets your needs without a Logic App.
I have a site I sent my clients to who want to move forward with our order process and I want the information they submit to automatically fill in the form under the opportunity. I was wondering how this was possible. I know you can set up a web to lead form but I dont see this option for what I want to do.
There is no native Opportunity feature equivalent for Web-to-lead or Web-to-Case. You do have a lot of options though (ordered from simplest to most complex).
Use an app on the AppExchange that provide web-to-x functionality.
Use a pre-built connector for popular CMS apps to integrate with Salesforce.
Create a Visualforce Page hosted on Force.com sites and then embed that on your website
Create an Apex Web Service hosted on Force.com sites that can be posted to by your form
Write code on your web platform to post to the Salesforce API.
Let me start with a bit of background: I'm helping a non-profit organization that would like to have a browser-based application that is backed by Salesforce, but has very specific requirements.
I see Salesforce has a REST API that we can call, so we can develop a standalone application to serve the web pages they want and use the REST API to call Salesforce when needed.
I'm wondering if there is a way to host a web application directly on Salesforce; this way we don't have to have a separate application server. Any recommendations or pointers to documentation/open source products is greatly appreciated.
Yes, you can create services that will allow your app to hit Salesforce
Depending on the type of application, yes you can host it on salesforce using the Salesforce Sites feature, also you can develop and host your app on Heroku which is owned by salesforce and can sync data to and from salesforce using Heroku Connect, or you can build and host it on another service like AWS and connect via the REST API. You just need to investigate and choose the option that best fits your use-case. One thing to be aware of is that there are API limits (the number of calls you can make to salesforce in a rolling 24hr period). Depending the the needs of the app be sure to see if those limits will be an issue. Because if the app makes constant calls to salesforce that could be an issue. But there are things you can do to get around that, like caching.
Yes, both Force.com Sites and Site.com features allow you to host webpages on the Force.com Platform. The markup is stored in Visualforce Pages and can use Apex to access records in the Database. I have migrated multiple websites (including our company's www.mkpartners.com) to Force.com using Force.com Sites.
One thing to keep in mind is that you are limited to 500,000 views per month and the rendering of a page with images that are also stored on the platform will incur a single view for the page and a single view for each image. If you already have a very popular website, I wouldn't migrate. If you're a small business or nonprofit, then it should be fine.
Another thing to keep in mind is that dynamic functionality based on records in the database will not work during maintenance windows. There is the ability to upload a static version of your website to be rendered during these windows though.
