How can I edit the layout of category.
I am unable to find the solution. I need to edit it via Control Panel, not using direct file editing.
To edit the layout of category, Edit the menu item that is linked to that category. In the menu item edit page, you will find all the option for changing category layout.
Also you can change the Global options in Content > Categories page then click on the options button to see all category options.

I am developing a web page. This page contains a list of items on the left side, and a information panel on the right side to show some summary information specific to the selected items see below:
When one item is selected by user, the information panel's content should be updated to show the active item's content.
My Question:
What is the proper way to implement this:
Spawn one information panel per list item. Then hide/show the the information panel for the active list item.
Make only one information panel globally. Then update the information panel's content based on list item selection?
Because I am using Angular 2 and Bootstrap, advices specific to these libraries are appreciated. (For example, shall I use route to implement the item-click-to-summary-display? Is there a component in Bootstrap library that is specifically for such purposes? )
I am building a navigation menu in drupal 7 and in a few of the menu links it is not possible to edit the "path" in the page "Edit menu links" (under Structure -> Menu -> Navigation). Instead there is a fixed path to for ex. "Add new basic page".
These links also have the option "reset" in stead of "delete"... under Structure -> Menus.
I realize that I must have brought this problem on myself, but I am stuck and cannot figure out how to change the path for these menu links.
So I would like to change the "path". Can someone point me in the right direction?
Just turn off the menu item and create a new one which will fit your need.
This particular menu item was probably created using views. Go into the view and modify the menu item for the related view under Page settings
I am looking into adding a button to the "end" of the grid view.
The idea is that I have a grouped view showing groups and items with in these groups. I only show some of the items within the group and wants to show a "load more" button at the end of the items shown.
I have tried all kinds of things in the standard grouped items page with no luck.
Any good ideas?
Thanks in advance
Kim
The simplest answer is to follow the approach used by most existing apps: Allow the user to click on the header to display all the items.
You can also add the "Load More" button as if it was a normal grid item. Then, style it differently using a different template and ItemTemplateSelector.
Finally, the most complex (and flexible) solution would be to put the "Load More" button above the GridView, and manually sync its location when the GridView is scrolled...
I know how to edit the page layouts for the opportunity products search page, when you search for products to add to an opportunity after choosing your price book. But what about the subsequent page, which displays the products I've selected and asks me to fill in quantity, price, etc. How can I add additional custom fields I've created to that page's layout?
The option to edit doesn't seem to appear in either Edit Page Layouts or Edit Search Layouts options under Opportunity Product Setup.
When you edit an Opportunity Product Page Layout, there is a link in the top named "Edit Multi-Line Layout". Go there to specify which fields you want on the "Add Products"/"Edit All" page.

I want to show a popup of list of cases without parentid and allow to select usign checkbox and the selected cases are added up in a related list. This popup would be availabe on clicking of link button
First question would be can i call a vf page as popup from a standard page? The rest i guess i can hande it in the VF page
Thanks
Prady
Yes, you create a link button for the object in whose page layout the link will reside. As a source for the link button choose "Visual force page" and choose a page. Keep in mind that the vf page MUST use standardController for the same object (with or without extensions) or it will not show up in the list. Choose to show the page in a new window and later place the link button on the page layout.
