datefield in scrollable container is not rendering its picker properly. Here is the fiddle.
https://fiddle.sencha.com/#fiddle/17l8
Ext.application({
launch : function() {
Ext.create('Ext.container.Container', {
layout:'anchor',
scrollable:true,
width: 400,
height:'100px',
renderTo: Ext.getBody(),
border: 1,
style: {borderColor:'#000000', borderStyle:'solid', borderWidth:'1px'},
defaults: {
labelWidth: 80,
// implicitly create Container by specifying xtype
xtype: 'datefield',
flex: 1,
style: {
padding: '10px'
}
},
items: [{
xtype: 'datefield',
name: 'startDate',
fieldLabel: 'DOB'
},{
xtype: 'textfield',
name: 'name',
fieldLabel: 'Name'
},{
xtype: 'textfield',
name: 'age',
fieldLabel: 'Age'
}]
});
}
});
Go to the fiddle, First enter the date, scroll down and enter name and age. Now again scroll to top and try to modify the date. Screen goes off. Screen will return when you give a mouse click.
PS: this is occuring only in EXt js 6. Not in any earlier version.
Figured it out...
in scorallable container, picker is not aligning to component after layout. We are doing it manually with the below override.
Ext.override(Ext.picker.Date, {
afterComponentLayout: function (width, height, oldWidth, oldHeight) {
var field = this.pickerField;
this.callParent([
width,
height,
oldWidth,
oldHeight
]);
// Bound list may change size, so realign on layout
// **if the field is an Ext.form.field.Picker which has alignPicker!**
if (field && field.alignPicker) {
field.alignPicker();
}
}
});

Please help me vertically center the button with the label and value. Why does "align: 'middle'" not cause the button text to appear at the same level as the displayfield content?
https://fiddle.sencha.com/#fiddle/1et9
Apply fixed heights for both fields and use line-height to align center
items: [
{
xtype: 'displayfield',
fieldLabel: 'My Label',
labelWidth: 200,
height: '40',
value: 'My Value',
labelStyle: 'line-height:24px;',
fieldStyle: 'line-height:24px;'
},
{
xtype: 'button',
height: 40,
text: 'too low'
}
]

Maybe custom CSS style will be enough:
{
xtype: 'displayfield',
fieldLabel: 'My Label',
labelWidth: 200,
value: 'My Value',
style: 'padding-top: 8px;' // - custom style
}
I am trying to add an item into a fielset dynamically. I have checked the items of the fieldset in the console , the item is being added to the fieldset but it is not being displayed, I am invoking the doLayout() method for the fieldset and also for the formpanel which has this fieldset, but the size/height of the fieldset does not change. Can someone help me with this issue?
if(csType.value=="OS"){
Ext.apply(newOs,that.osCombo);
newOs.id = 'testOs2';
Ext.getCmp('cSFieldSet').add(newOs);
Ext.getCmp('cSFieldSet').setHeight(600);
Ext.getCmp('cSFieldSet').doLayout(true,true);
Ext.getCmp('cSFieldSet').ownerCt.doLayout(true,true);
that.csFormPanel.doLayout(true,true);
}
I also tried using autoHeight: true, but still the item is not being displayed
Here's some test code I just wrote to simulate what you are trying to achieve:
var simple = new Ext.FormPanel({
labelWidth: 75,
frame:true,
title: 'Simple Form',
bodyStyle:'padding:5px 5px 0',
width: 350,
defaults: {width: 230},
defaultType: 'textfield',
items: [{
// Fieldset in Column 1
xtype:'fieldset',
itemId: 'fieldSetTest',
columnWidth: 0.5,
title: 'Fieldset 1',
collapsible: false,
autoHeight:false,
defaultType: 'textfield',
items :[{
fieldLabel: 'Field 1'
}, {
fieldLabel: 'Field 2'
}, {
fieldLabel: 'Field 3'
}
]
}
],
buttons: [{
text: 'Add New Field',
handler: function() {
var newItem = new Ext.form.TextField({fieldLabel: 'New Fields'});
simple.getComponent('fieldSetTest').add(newItem);
simple.doLayout();
},
scope:this
}]
});
simple.render(document.body);
});
This works fine, so on clicking the add button the new item appears in the fieldset and the height of the fieldset automatically increases. Without seeing your whole formpanel code I can't comment much further.
I have following code-
{ fieldLabel: 'Date', name: 'Date', xtype: 'datefield' }
{ fieldLabel: 'Name', name: 'PerName', xtype: 'textfield' },
{
xtype: 'panel',
layout: 'form',
border: false,
labelWidth: 200,
items: [
this.fields.check1 = { xtype: 'checkbox', name: 'Check1', fieldLabel: 'Checkbox 1', width: 320 },
this.fields.check2 = { xtype: 'checkbox', name: 'Check2', fieldLabel: 'Checkbox 2', width: 320 }
]
}
Here, I am taking the checkboxes inside a panel as I need to increase the label width.
The label is showing but checkbox is not displaying .
What I am doing wrong
How about you add your checkboxes inside a FormPanel something like this:
var myPanel = new Ext.form.Panel({
alias: 'widget.myformPanel',
renderTo: Ext.getBody(),
defaults: {
labelWidth: 100,
},
items: [{
xtype: 'checkbox',
name: 'Check1',
fieldLabel: 'Checkbox 1'
}, {
xtype: 'checkbox',
name: 'Check2',
fieldLabel: 'Checkbox 2'
}]
});
In that way, you can set the labelWidth of the formPanel items.
Try to play it with jsfiddle.
Build your application with
sencha app build
It seems that you need to build only for deployment, however, development version uses production css. Therefore, anytime you add a new class you need to build the app to re-create css to include the new class styling.
I am new to extjs.I am designing a pop up window which basically populates some data from the server.I have used the layout as 'fit' and I am using labels for displaying the data.Here is my code
win = new Ext.window.Window({
title: 'Data point details',
layout: 'fit',
width: 'auto',
height: 500,
modal: false,
closeAction: 'destroy',
layout: {
type: 'table',
// The total column count must be specified here
columns: 2,
rows :10 ,
tdAttrs:
{
style:
{
margin: '160px',
valign: 'top' ,
padding: '8px' ,
'font-size' : '12px'
}
}
},
defaults: {
bodyPadding: 10 ,
},
items: [
{
xtype: 'label',
text: 'Element : ' ,
style:
{
'font-weight':'bold',
'labelAlign' : 'right',
}
},
{
xtype: 'label',
text: elementname
},
{
xtype: 'label',
text: 'Expression: ' ,
style:
{
'font-weight':'bold',
}
},
{
xtype: 'label',
text: s.expressionName
},
{
xtype: 'label',
text: 'Profile: ' ,
style:
{
'font-weight':'bold',
}
},
{
xtype: 'label',
text: s.profileName
},
{
xtype: 'label',
text: 'Time:',
style:
{
'font-weight':'bold',
}
},
{
xtype: 'label',
text: Highcharts.dateFormat('%a, %b %e, %Y, %I:%M %p ', this.x)
},
{
xtype: 'label',
text: 'Value:',
style:
{
'font-weight':'bold',
}
},
{
xtype: 'label',
text: yvalue ,
},
{
xtype: 'box',
style : {
padding: '0px',
height: '90px',
//background : 'white',
},
html: new Ext.XTemplate("<div style=\"height:150px;\">{value}")
.apply({value: me.htmldiv.innerHTML })
},
]
});
win.show();
I want the columns which appear on the left hand side to have their text on the right,but the text is always towards the left for all the cells it seems .Likw for example the label which has the text 'Element' appears to be on the left.I have used labelalign but it does not work.Kindly give suggestions
Just few suggestions until i get to the solution:
You have reduntant comas all over the place. Some older browsers will fail on such thing. Example:
{ 'font-weight':'bold',<<-- here }
win = new Ext.window.Window(... - this is global variable declaration - probably worst thing you can do in JavaScript and way to hell. Use var keyword to declare local variables like so: var win = new Ext.window.Window(...
labelAlign is the way to align label text to the right BUT a) you are applying it through style property (styles which Ext apply to HTML element created by component) and b) labelAlign is property of Labelable components and as strange as it might sound, Label itself is not Labelable. Just don't use Label like this, see below...
Duplicate layout property on Window
When you are asking for help and posting code as part of the question, edit your code so that it doesn't contain exteral dependencies - can be copied and run immediately. It took me nearly half a hour to make your sample working
As i said before, you are using Lable component in the way it is not suppose to be used. Labels are not created directly but by specifying label properties on components implementing Labelable mixin (Fields in most cases). It might sound complicated but is not, take a look at the code:
var wnd = new Ext.window.Window({
title: 'Data point details',
width: 400,
height: 200,
modal: false,
closeAction: 'destroy',
layout: {
type: 'anchor',
align: 'stretch'
},
bodyPadding: 10,
defaults: {
labelAlign: 'right',
labelStyle: {
'font-weight': 'bold'
},
labelWidth: 100
},
items: [{
xtype: 'displayfield',
fieldLabel: 'Element',
value: 'elementname'
}, {
xtype: 'displayfield',
fieldLabel: 'Expression',
value: 's.expressionName' // s.expressionName
}, {
xtype: 'displayfield',
fieldLabel: 'Profile',
value: 's.profileName' // s.profileName
}, {
xtype: 'displayfield',
fieldLabel: 'Time',
value: 'time'
}, {
xtype: 'displayfield',
fieldLabel: 'Value',
value: 'yvalue' // yvalue
}]
});
wnd.show();
You can try it and play with it here. My final suggestion would be to take a look at the official ExtJS documentation and guides which are pretty good - here for example are samples on making forms...
Here is an approach to use css styles inline, not in a separate class. This could be useful if you get css values from your javascript constants:
this.myLabel = Ext.create('Ext.form.Label', {
text: 'My Label Name',
style: {
'text-align': this.defaults.myLabelAlign, // The javascript constant.
'font-size': this.defaults.myLabelStyle // The javascript constant.
}
});
Hi everybody
I'm a beggining with extjs and I have issue with change / set a item to a layout when i click on one of my node .
Here my contentPanel :
var contentPanel = {
id: 'content-panel',
region: 'center', // this is what makes this panel into a region within the containing layout
layout: 'card',
margins: '2 5 5 0',
activeItem: 0,
border: false,
items: layoutExamples // HERE I WANT TO CHANGE DYNAMIC
};
My "listener" on my treenode :
treePanel.getSelectionModel().on('select', function(selModel, record) {
if (record.get('leaf')) {
//Ext.getCmp('content-panel').layout.setActiveItem(record.getId() + '-panel'); <== It's work.
Ext.getCmp('content-panel').setActive(formPanel); // HERE I TRY TO CHANGE ITEM ON CLICK AND SET FORMPANEL
});
My item for test :
var formPanel = Ext.create('Ext.form.Panel', {
frame: true,
title: 'Form Fields',
width: 340,
bodyPadding: 5,
fieldDefaults: {
labelAlign: 'left',
labelWidth: 90,
anchor: '100%'
},
items: [{
xtype: 'textfield',
name: 'textfield1',
fieldLabel: 'Text field',
value: 'Text field value'
}, {
xtype: 'textfield',
name: 'password1',
inputType: 'password',
fieldLabel: 'Password field'
}, {
xtype: 'filefield',
name: 'file1',
fieldLabel: 'File upload'
}, {
xtype: 'textareafield',
name: 'textarea1',
fieldLabel: 'TextArea',
value: 'Textarea value'
} }]
});
So, my objective is to change item of my content panel when i click on a node.. !
Thanks a lot for your helps buddies !
try that and tell me in the comments:
var formPanel = Ext.create('Ext.form.Panel',
{
'id': 'form-panel-1', // or what you want to give
// and all the properties you already defined
}
);
And in your event, based on http://docs.sencha.com/ext-js/4-0/#/api/Ext.layout.container.Card-method-setActiveItem :
treePanel.getSelectionModel().on('select', function(selModel, record) {
if (record.get('leaf')) {
Ext.getCmp('content-panel').getLayout().setActiveItem(Ext.getCmp('form-panel-1'));
}
});
By the way, in the code you provided, there is an error in the listener, it misses a } for closing the if!
