Get Enum value on client side - angularjs

I am trying to send the value of an enumeration to Angularjs from
Server side :
Model :
public class Consultant implements Serializable {
#Enumerated(EnumType.STRING)
#Column(name = "etat_qualification")
private EtatQualification etatQualification;
public EtatQualification getEtatQualification() {
return etatQualification;
}
public void setEtatQualification(EtatQualification etatQualification) {
this.etatQualification = etatQualification;
}
}
public enum EtatQualification {
EN_COURS("en cours"),
OK("ok"),
CONSULTANT_TV("consultant TV"),
KO("ko");
private String libelle;
EtatQualification(String libelle) {
this.libelle = libelle;
}
public String getLibelle() {
return libelle;
}
}
My resource :
#RequestMapping(value = "/consultants/{id}",
method = RequestMethod.GET,
produces = MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON_VALUE)
#Timed
public ResponseEntity<Consultant> getConsultant(#PathVariable Long id) {
log.debug("REST request to get Consultant : {}", id);
Consultant consultant = consultantRepository.findOne(id);
return Optional.ofNullable(consultant)
.map(result -> new ResponseEntity<>(
result,
HttpStatus.OK))
.orElse(new ResponseEntity<>(HttpStatus.NOT_FOUND));
}
On AngularJS side :
var consultant = Consultant.get({id : $stateParams.id});
But when i watch consultant.etatQualification value I get 'EN_COURS'.
I want to get : 'en cours'
Is it possible?
Thanks.

if you use jackson as json parser use this
#JsonFormat(shape = JsonFormat.Shape.OBJECT)
public enum EtatQualification { ... }

Hibernate filters are not working for APIs returning single result

I have added Hibernate filters on my entities . These filters are applied on queries which fetch Collection of entity but not applied on queries which fetch single entity. Below is my code.
AOrganization.java
#MappedSuperclass
#FilterDef(name = "OrgFilter", parameters = { #ParamDef(name = "allowedOrgIdList", type = "long") })
#Filter(name = "OrgFilter", condition = "org_id in (:allowedOrgIdList)")
public class AOrganization implements Serializable {
#ManyToOne()
#JoinColumn(name = "org_id", nullable = true)
private Organization organization;
public Organization getOrganization() {
return organization;
}
public void setOrganization(Organization organization) {
this.organization = organization;
}
}
Site.java
#Data
#Entity
#Table(name = "site")
public class Site extends AOrganization{
private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L;
#Id
#GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.AUTO)
#Column(name = "id")
private long id;
#Column(name = "site_name")
private String siteName;
#Override
public String toString() {
return "Site [id=" + id + ", siteName=" + siteName + "]";
}
}
SiteService.java
public interface SiteService {
public List<Site> getAllSites();
public List<Site> getSiteBySiteName(String siteName);
public Site updateSiteName(Long id, String siteName);
}
SiteRepository.java
#Repository
public interface SiteRepository extends AOrganizationRepository<Site, Long> {
public List<Site> findBySiteName(String siteName);
public List<Site> findByOrganization_Id(Long orgId);
}
AOrganizationRepository.java
#NoRepositoryBean
public interface AOrganizationRepository<T, ID extends java.io.Serializable> extends CrudRepository<T, ID> {
}
SiteServiceImpl.java
#Service
public class SiteServiceImpl implements SiteService {
#Autowired
private EntityManager entityManager;
#Autowired
private SiteRepository siteRepository;
#Override
public List<Site> getAllSites() {
Iterable<Site> sites = siteRepository.findAll();
List<Site> allSites = new ArrayList<>();
sites.forEach(allSites::add);
return allSites;
}
#Override
public List<Site> getSiteBySiteName(String siteName) {
List<Site> allSites = siteRepository.findBySiteName(siteName);
return allSites;
}
#Override
public Site updateSiteName(Long id,String siteName) {
Site site = siteRepository.findById(id).get();
if(site == null)
return null;
site.setSiteName(siteName);
siteRepository.save(site);
return site;
}
}
AOrganizationAspect.java
#Aspect
#Component
#Slf4j
public class AOrganizationAspect {
#PersistenceContext
private EntityManager entityManager;
#Pointcut("execution(public * com.harshal.springboot.springfilter.repository.AOrganizationRepository+.*(..))")
protected void aOrganizationRepositoryRepositoryMethod() {
log.info("aOrganizationRepositoryRepositoryMethod");
}
#Around(value = "aOrganizationRepositoryRepositoryMethod()")
public Object enableOwnerFilter(ProceedingJoinPoint joinPoint) throws Throwable {
// Variable holding the session
Session session = null;
try {
// Get the Session from the entityManager in current persistence context
session = entityManager.unwrap(Session.class);
// Enable the filter
Filter filter = session.enableFilter("OrgFilter");
// Set the parameter from the session
List<Long> orgList = getAllowedOrgIdList();
filter.setParameterList("allowedOrgIdList", orgList);
} catch (Exception ex) {
// Log the error
log.error("Error enabling OrgFilter : Reason -" + ex.getMessage());
}
// Proceed with the joint point
Object obj = joinPoint.proceed();
// If session was available
if (session != null) {
// Disable the filter
session.disableFilter("OrgFilter");
}
// Return
return obj;
}
private List<Long> getAllowedOrgIdList() {
return Arrays.asList(2l);
}
}
So , hibernate filters are applied if method getSiteBySiteName is called and filters are not applied if findById method is called.
Below are queries :
For getSiteBySiteName :
select site0_.id as id1_2_, site0_.org_id as org_id3_2_,
site0_.site_name as site_nam2_2_ from site site0_ where site0_.org_id
in (?) and site0_.site_name=?
Please help . Thanks in advance.
For findById
select site0_.id as id1_2_0_, site0_.org_id as org_id3_2_0_,
site0_.site_name as site_nam2_2_0_, organizati1_.id as id1_1_1_,
organizati1_.address as address2_1_1_, organizati1_.org_name as
org_name3_1_1_ from site site0_ left outer join organization
organizati1_ on site0_.org_id=organizati1_.id where site0_.id=?
findById is using the EntityManager.find method and do not create a query.
Plus Hibernate Filters only work on queries.
You should write a query instead of using findById

SpringBoot : RestAPI Returning JSON Array But I want value with label to set in AngularJS

Requirement:
Trying to populate all UNIQUE record in Angular Drop Down List
I am using predefined Table have already data.
REST API URL => http://localhost:8080/getAllCategory
Facing Problem:
API is giving the reponse in JSON Array like [xxx,yyyy,zzzz]. So I am thinking if I can convert JSON Array with some label value which can solve my problem.
Either any other way to get over with this issue.
Note :
If I am not using the native query and using the below code then I am getting all the table value in JSON with label and populating all the record in drop down but I want only UNIQUE

Spring MVC + AngularJs: JSON/Model values set to null

I am trying submit json data to a Spring MVC controller mapped with a model. Instead of getting the json values, the values of the fields of the model are all NULL.

Controller:
#RequestMapping(value = "/update", method = RequestMethod.POST)
#ResponseBody
public PostResponse update(Setting setting, BindingResult bindingResult) {
return settingService.processUpdate(setting, bindingResult, messageSource);
}
JSON data:
{
"updatedAt":1460600207000,
"id":1,
"createdBy":null,
"description":"This is a setting",
"code":"MY_SETTING",
"value":"{\"id\":\"1018\",\"title\":\"Another setting\",\"code\":\"220-203-10-101\"}"
}
Model:

}

I guess that the setting bean is not mapped at all.
You need to tell spring how to map the http request to the method arguments. If you're posting data, the best way is to add #RequestBody annotation to the relevant method argument (setting in your case)
Modify your controller method like this:
#RequestMapping(value = "/update", method = RequestMethod.POST)
#ResponseBody
public PostResponse update(#RequestBody Setting setting, BindingResult bindingResult) {
return settingService.processUpdate(setting, bindingResult, messageSource);
}

How to setup FiddlerCore code to capture REST calls from WPF application

I have a WPF application. I am making REST calls from that.
I would like to alter the response XML/JSON of the rest service.
I am using FiddlerCore to intercept the call.
I need to listen to ALL the ports in my local machine.
List<Fiddler.Session> oAllSessions = new List<Fiddler.Session>();
FiddlerCoreStartupFlags oFCSF = FiddlerCoreStartupFlags.Default;
oFCSF = (oFCSF & ~FiddlerCoreStartupFlags.DecryptSSL);
//Fiddler.FiddlerApplication.Startup(8080, true, true);
FiddlerApplication.BeforeRequest += delegate(Fiddler.Session oS)
{
};
FiddlerApplication.BeforeResponse += delegate(Fiddler.Session oS)
{
}
};
Fiddler.FiddlerApplication.Startup(0, true, false);

Single element array in WCF RESTful JSON web service client

I'm trying to consume a RESTful JSON web service using WCF on the client side. The service is 3rd party, so I cannot make any changes to the server response.
The server is sending back a response that looks something like this when there's only one data point...
Single Data Point
{
"Data":
{
"MyPropertyA":"Value1",
"MyPropertyB":"Value2"
},
}
and something like this when there's more than one data point...
Multiple Data Points
{
"Data":
[
{
"MyPropertyA":"Value1",
"MyPropertyB":"Value2"
},
{
"MyPropertyA":"Value3",
"MyPropertyB":"Value4"
},
{
"MyPropertyA":"Value5",
"MyPropertyB":"Value6"
}
],
}
I have my service contract set up like this...
[ServiceContract]
public interface IRewardStreamService
{
[OperationContract]
[WebInvoke]
MyResponse GetMyStuff();
}
and a data point's data contract like this...
[DataContract]
public class MyData
{
[DataMember]
public string MyPropertyA { get; set; }
[DataMember]
public string MyPropertyB { get; set; }
}
and the only way I can get the single data point response to work is if I have a single instance property like this, but this does not parse the multiple data point response...
Response for Single Instance
[DataContract]
public class MyResponse
{
[DataMember]
public MyData Data { get; set; }
}
and the only way I can get the multiple data point response to work is if I have an array / list instance property like this, but this does not parse the single data point response...
Response for Multiple Instance
[DataContract]
public class MyResponse
{
[DataMember]
public IList<MyData> Data { get; set; }
}
I understand the issue is that the response is omitting the brackets when there's only one data point returned, but it seems that WCF doesn't play well with deserializing that syntax. Is there some way I can tell the DataContractJsonSerializer to allow single element arrays to not include brackets and then tell my service to use that serializer? Maybe a service behavior or something?
Any direction would be helpful.
You can use a custom message formatter to change the deserialization of the JSON into the data contract you want. In the code below, the data contract is defined to have a List<MyData>; if the response contains only one data point, it will "wrap" that into an array prior to passing to the deserializer, so it will work for all cases.
Notice that I used the JSON.NET library to do the JSON modification, but that's not a requirement (it just has a nice JSON DOM to work with the JSON document).
public class StackOverflow_12825062
{
[ServiceContract]
public class Service
{
[WebGet]
public Stream GetData(bool singleDataPoint)
{
string result;
if (singleDataPoint)
{
result = #"{
""Data"":
{
""MyPropertyA"":""Value1"",
""MyPropertyB"":""Value2""
},
}";
}
else
{
result = #"{
""Data"":
[
{
""MyPropertyA"":""Value1"",
""MyPropertyB"":""Value2""
},
{
""MyPropertyA"":""Value3"",
""MyPropertyB"":""Value4""
},
{
""MyPropertyA"":""Value5"",
""MyPropertyB"":""Value6""
}
],
} ";
}
WebOperationContext.Current.OutgoingResponse.ContentType = "application/json";
return new MemoryStream(Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(result));
}
}
[DataContract]
public class MyData
{
[DataMember]
public string MyPropertyA { get; set; }
[DataMember]
public string MyPropertyB { get; set; }
}
[DataContract]
public class MyResponse
{
[DataMember]
public List<MyData> Data { get; set; }
public override string ToString()
{

}

I don't know about using WCF so I'll change to Asp.Net WCF. Here is an article that will get you one the way
http://www.west-wind.com/weblog/posts/2012/Aug/30/Using-JSONNET-for-dynamic-JSON-parsing
I just can't figure out how to determine if it's an array or a single object. Here is a little code.
[TestMethod]
public void SingleObject()
{
using (var client = new HttpClient())
{
var result = client.GetStringAsync("http://localhost:8080/api/JSONTestOne");
string content = result.Result;
JObject jsonVal = JObject.Parse(content);
dynamic aFooObj = jsonVal;
Console.WriteLine(aFooObj.afoo.A);
}
}
[TestMethod]
public void ArrayWithObject()
{
using (var client = new HttpClient())
{
var result = client.GetStringAsync("http://localhost:8080/api/JSONTest");
string content = result.Result;
JObject jsonVal = JObject.Parse(content);
dynamic foos = jsonVal;
Console.WriteLine(foos[0].A);
}
}
