How to solve YouTUbe video restriction in iOS [duplicate] - ytplayerview

Using YTPlayerView to play embedded YouTube video in iOS failed with restriction error

YouTube video works good in web browser but YTPlayerView shows restriction on iPhone.
Demo URL is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dlzsq9xrRqo&feature=youtu.be

The issue is due to, restriction of playing video on mobile from specific region.
You are able to play the video on the browser but not on mobile (even from the same region).
This is Youtube's and not Apple's restriction.
Currently, there is no way to detect the video we requested, is a restricted one through code. But can detect after it displays the message and skip the video, to next video.
Edit:- "origin" : "https://www.example.com" in player variables fixed the above problem

Why a Google user without the Glass device is able to complete the OAuth2 process? [duplicate]

How to find out if a user actually has Glass

Closed 9 years ago.
I've built an app for Glass and I've noticed that Google accounts without the actual Glass device (I personally know those users) are perfectly able to complete the OAuth2 process including the Glass scopes (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/glass.timeline and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/glass.location)
It seems unexpected and somehow problematic as those are users who might be consuming resources of the app, may expect some functionality our if it, but they can't get any services in return.
All users have a timeline. By requesting those scopes, you're asking for access to that abstract data.
If that activates a Glass device, their timeline is synchronized to that device.
I understand why you may want to distinguish between users who have one, many, or zero active Glass devices. You may want to request that this be added to the API by filing an enhancement request.
Also see "How to find out if a user actually has Glass" for a similar question, along with a proposed answer to use double opt-in as a way to mitigate the resource issue.

Why iOS6 can't play some mp4 video files?

I have a mp4 video that plays properly on iOS5 but not on iOS6. Here is a direct link to video for testing:
http://www.wordcafe.de/videos/test.mp4
All other videos in the website work on iOS6 and only this particular one can't be played on iOS6. I thought the problem is with my HTML5 video player, but then I saw that even a direct link to video as pasted above doesn't work. On my iPodTouch iOS6 I see the play icon crossed out by a diagonal line. Does anybody know why and how this problem can be fixed?
Thanks

RTSP Protocol or HTML5 Video Tag?

Currently in full development of a mobile application video sharing (based on PhoneGap), I hesitate about the method used to send / play videos on mobile. So I have a choice between using the HTML5 video tag (which apparently require an additional plugin so that there was no problem in android), and the establishment of an RTSP streaming server, which I think the native video player will be directly launch.
I want to know what would be the best solution to watch these videos without losing quality with the ability to navigate the time of the video.
Thank you,
Yeppao
Both streamed videos and embedded <video> elements will open in the native player (at the time of writing at least) and you won't be able to display video inline. See this recent question of mine.
So, at least to me, this boils down to the question if you can afford the streaming (both in terms of costs and maintenance) since a streamed video will always offer a better user experience (in case the streaming works properly...) than a downloaded one.

You cant go wrong with the ones you mentioned. However I like to use .NET in combination with what you mentioned, (i havent worked with HTML 5 yet) and use the the capabilities/browser files to get more in depth functionality to target more specific browsers if needed.

Is there a way to programmatically extract the feed of a podcast from the iTunes page? [duplicate]

get the latest podcasts from itunes store with link by RSS, JSON or something
From an iTunes page, like http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/this-week-in-tech-mp3-edition/id73329404, is there a way to extract the corresponding feed address? In this case it would be http://leoville.tv/podcasts/twit.xml.
I know that if you open on iTunes you can extract it manually, but I want to do it programmatically. There's a link to the website of the podcast, but it may not be accurate. In this case it points to a web site with 20 podcasts on it.
I just ran into this same problem recently and decided to write a php script to solve my woes. to anyone looking to extract a podcast feed from iTunes, i created a script that you can either input the iTunes Store URL or search with keywords straight on the iTunes store:
