Adding Kinetise service on Bluemix answers with 500 error - mobile

When trying to add the Kinetise Service from the Bluemix Catalog, a pop-up appears saying:
Service broker error: {"description"=>"Error 500 received from broker url https://bluemix.marketplace.ibmcloud.com/api/custom/cloudfoundry/v2/service_instances/6b04405f-96d7-413a-91f2-92f036fc0bf7"}
I haven't found any pb recorded on the Bluemix Status page.
I'm currently on US-South.

This problem depends most likely by some issues in responding at the broker side.
Could you please open a ticket at Bluemix support using one of the following methods:
Use the Support Widget. It is available from the user avatar in the
upper right corner of the main Bluemix UI. After opening the support
widget panel, select Get Help > Get In Touch, select the type of
assistance you need, and then fill out the support form.
Use the Support Site 'Get Help' form. This form is available on a
separate site that is made available for ticket submission when you
cannot log into Bluemix and access the Support Widget. Go to
http://ibm.biz/bluemixsupport and fill in the support request form.

This is a known issue and is being worked out by the Kinetise team. Will update you as soon the service becomes available.

Salesforce DocuSign API Sync Issue

New to the forum :) - first post. I am trying to set up DocuSign in Salesforce for a client and keep running into an issue when trying to create an envelope template. Some context: my client has a DocuSign Business account (not Gen/ Negotiate), I have added the documents, and can add non-merge fields fine. The only issue is when I try to place the merge field, not create it, I receive an error:
Save Error: Some fields might be out of sync. Unable to connect to the service. Failed to connect to the salesforce service.
So far I have tried: adding IP addresses to Salesforce, removed MFA authentication for API, I have tried clearing cache and cookies, in different browsers, and in incognito mode - no success. I think I just have missed a step in set up? OR is this just not a feature of the client's current account and they need to enable the "Gen" feature to use merge fields?
Appreciate the help - I am also new to Salesforce administration and coding - so I am learning as I go and bear with me if I am not picking up all the "lingo" up front.
It sounds like you're using the legacy DocuSign for Salesforce package if you're not using Gen/Negotiate, so there are typically a couple of issues that could cause the error that you're seeing. The first is a caching issue, so you could try in an incognito browser or by clearing cache and cookies for the browser.
The other issue could be that the connection between DocuSign and Salesforce was broken and needs to be connected again. If that's the case, you could follow the steps in this article. If you're still running into problems, I'd advise to reach out to the DocuSign support team so that they can take a look with you (https://support.docusign.com/).

Not able to create events using Microsoft Graph SDK

I am trying to create an Event using Microsoft Graph SDK, as following the document #
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/user-post-events?view=graph-rest-beta&tabs=csharp
1.Created "authProvider"
2.Created GraphClient with above AuthProvider
3.Creating Event using
The event is not creating also no exception/error is throwing, Could any one help me here?
This is happening because this call is being made with same transactionId frequently. It avoids unnecessary retries on the server.
It is an optional parameter , just comment out this property and try again. It should work.
Note : This identifier specified by a client app for the server , to avoid redundant POST operations in case of client retries to create the same event and also useful when low network connectivity causes the client to time out before receiving a response from the server for the client's prior create-event request.
More info is required here, as the reply from Allen Wu stated. without any details I would focus my efforts on the authprovider piece and azure app registration piece. as the rest of the example is just sending a post request to graph api.
but what is recommended really depends on what type of application you are trying to build. eg. is it a service daemon, a web app, mobile app, desktop app, single page app, etc.

Codename One Preferences/Storage permissions

I have developed and published an app in Google Play Store, which only send simple String request to REST API and store the results in the Preferences. The same app is also submitted to Windows Store for publication, however it was rejected due to the following reason:
The app declares use of the sensitive capability [musicLibrary, picturesLibrary, videosLibrary] without appearing to access the declared capability. Please removed the sensitive capability declaration and re-submit the app.
Upon inspection to Google Play Store submission, I noticed the same permissions are requested:
This app has access to:Photos/Media/Filesread the contents of your USB storagemodify or delete the contents of your USB storageStorageread the contents of your USB storagemodify or delete the contents of your USB storageOtherreceive data from Internetview network connectionsfull network accessprevent device from sleeping
So my question is, do Preferences really need these permissions, or can I set some kind of build hints to remove these permission requests, especially for UWP build? I have also tried to set android.blockExternalStoragePermission build hint, but the permissions are still requested in Android build. I have yet to try iOS build since currently I don't have Apple Developer account.
Thank you very much in advance.
Edit #1 (23/10/2018):
Upon further inspection, I found that I have mistakenly uploaded the version that didn't declare android.blockExternalStoragePermission to Google Play Store, so all good on Android version.
Currently I'm not using any of cn1libs, and here's the list of all classes imported in my application:
java.util.HashMapjava.util.Mapjava.util.Randomcom.codename1.components.InfiniteProgresscom.codename1.components.ToastBarcom.codename1.components.ToastBar.Statuscom.codename1.io.CharArrayReadercom.codename1.io.JSONParsercom.codename1.io.Logcom.codename1.io.NetworkManagercom.codename1.io.Preferencescom.codename1.io.rest.Responsecom.codename1.io.rest.Restcom.codename1.l10n.L10NManagercom.codename1.ui.Buttoncom.codename1.ui.Componentcom.codename1.ui.Containercom.codename1.ui.Dialogcom.codename1.ui.FontImagecom.codename1.ui.Formcom.codename1.ui.Labelcom.codename1.ui.events.ActionEventcom.codename1.ui.events.ActionListenercom.codename1.ui.layouts.BorderLayoutcom.codename1.ui.layouts.FlowLayoutcom.codename1.ui.layouts.GridLayoutcom.codename1.ui.plaf.Bordercom.codename1.ui.plaf.Stylecom.codename1.ui.plaf.UIManagercom.codename1.ui.util.Resources
So my original question remain, how do I set the build hints to prevent the same external storage read/write permission in Windows and iOS?
See the section titled "Android Permissions" here, for a list of some API's that might trigger extra permissions. I suggest extracting the manifest from the XML and inspecting it. It should include two permissions based on your description you should have two permissions there:
android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - which you should have been disabled when you applied android.blockExternalStoragePermission
android.permission.INTERNET - this one you actually need
I'm assuming you have a permission for media access and here it becomes a question of where it came from?
Did you use a cn1lib that might include a feature that triggers this?
Do you have a feature in the app that isn't active yet?
Once you have the specific name or results of this investigation comment here and I'll revise the answer with more details.

AppStats for managed VMs

We were running on AppEngine but recently moved over to Managed VMs. For some reason AppStats is no longer available? We just get a 404 not found error when browsing to our appstats URL. Is appstats not supported on Managad VMs? If not, is there a way of isolating poorly performing endpoints within our application?
One way to isolate poorly performing endpoints is to use the advanced filter search in the GCP Logs Viewer. It is a little hard to find at first.
To get there, in your Google Cloud console, navigate to Logging for your project. At the right of the text box for "Filter by label or text search" you will see a small dropdown arrow. Click that and select "Convert to advanced filter". This will allow you to write your own sql-ish query where you can find requests that took longer than n to complete.
For example, add the following to the filter:
protoPayload.latency>"0.300s"
This will return a list of all requests that took longer than 300 milliseconds to process. If you have Cloud Trace enabled, you can click on the request response time to see the timeline for the individual service calls.

Sitecore Analytics error

I can't make Sitecore Analytics working. I have Sitecore 6.6.0 (rev. 121015) and installed Sitecore DMS.
1) when i go to Sitecore->Marketing Center i get error XML Parsing Error: no element found
2) when i go to Sitecore->Content Editor, choose element and press Analyze->Reports I get error You do not have permission to see any item reports
3) In Content Editor when press Analyze->Goals get Cannot use Analytics with a database that has no definition items error
4) in logs I see following:
"Exception: System.InvalidOperationException
Message: Cannot use Analytics with a database that has no settings"
5) If I change url that i get trying to open Marketing Center (changing Marketing%20Center.aspx to Marketing%20Center/default.aspx) I get Cannot use Analytics with a database that has no definition items error
6) I have in my Sitecore.Analytics.config this tag:
<setting name="Analytics.DefaultDefinitionDatabase" value="web" />
I tried to give access to analytics database from SQL Management Studio, but didn't help.
What could be the reason of this error, and how to solve it?
Your errors seem to suggest that the database is missing data. Did you use the database provided on this page, http://sdn.sitecore.net/Products/Sitecore%20V5/Sitecore%20CMS%206/Update/6_6_0_rev_121015.aspx ?
Go to the link above, scroll down to Download DMS 6.6.0 rev. 121015 for Sitecore CMS 6.6.0 rev.121015 and click the Download DMS 6.6.0 rev.121015 under SQL Server. Attach this database to your server and try again.
I haven't seen these errors, but it sounds to me like Sitecore is not able to access the Analytics database at all. You do have a connection string in ConnectionStrings.config named "analytics"? Try using the sa account just to make sure it's not a permissions issue. Don't forget to change it back from sa either way.
(caveat: I haven't used DMS yet, just OMS... it's possible I am way behind the times)
Publish your site (to web). You might be trying to analyze data that isn't live.
I just erased my previous answer as that was a consequence of what was wrong, but not the actual cause...
In the Analytics code, the Marketing Center node is requested from the current database. If it cannot find that item (which IS in the master database), you get the error.
But the code will NOT find the marketing center item if the security settings prevent the anonymous user read access...
That is where the error occured for me, when I was an anonymous user... And effectively, when looking at the security settings for the Marketing Center Item I found that inheritance had been blocked, hence preventing read access for the anonymous user...
Another reason this error sometimes occurs is when you have a production environment where there is no access to the master database.
Since the Analytics code uses the "master" database as the default definition database unless otherwise specified in the config settings, you could add the following to analytics.config:
<setting name="Analytics.DefaultDefinitionDatabase" value="web" />
That way, it will fallback to the web database in case of a production environment without master database.
Hope this helps...
Erwin
The issue is due to Sitecore not being able to read the definition items in the master/web database (depending on the Analytics.DefaultDefinitionDatabase setting).
The items it is looking for are:
/sitecore/system/Marketing Control Panel
/sitecore/system/Settings/Analytics
When the request is running, the user is default\Anonymous. Using Access Viewer, make sure there are no security settings disabling read access to these items. This includes parent items that would have a trickle-down effect.
