I know that browsers use Google safe browsing service to detect if a domain is blacklisted or not. The client(for example Firefox) basically downloads a hashed list of these domains and then checks if a url is blacklisted or not. My question is that, is it possible to access this list of domains?(not their hash values which is not reversible)

I worked in a company in which we were doing web filtering. We were doing also category based filtering like not allow gambling websites or adult etc..
I didn't see open version of Google safe browsing urls when I were working . Instead we had several sources but best free source was as I remember http://www.urlblacklist.com/ . Which has like 1.5 million websites categorized. You can filter out urls under categories like Adult-Gambling etc....

I don't know if you only asking for the Google blacklist, but since Kafka Erdem Damir suggested another list, a few friends of mine used the "shallalist". Unfortunately it's a German service.

I have 5 app engines projects - all with different sub domains on Google App Engine. Every single one of them are just a CNAME record on Cloudflare posting to ghs.googlehosted.com.
There is nothing different about any of them but for some reason 1 out of 5 of them are failing to generate a SSL certificate. None of my other ones are having any issues.
Does anyone know why this would be happening? I know someone on here mentioned I could switch my DNS to a completely other registrar but that really isn't an option for me right now and I'd like to get to the bottom of this.
How my Domains are setup:
I have my domain.com verified. I also have sub-i-want.domain.com verified. And then I select that domain on the list and add the subdomain like so:
I should note that only subdomains are active on google cloud. My domain.com is on another server outside of google.

I have hosted my Prestashop at Fastdomain server it's like the 4th year, the website is stable and working fine till 3 days ago where my email inbox got full of spam and more than 300K requests on the site causing the site to go down.
I activated the basic protection from Sitelock provided from Fastdomain Cpanel, it worked fine for two days and the site is down again cuz of another strike.
Fastdomain support tried to fix it but no instant method they said the problem is caused due to script overuse in send to friend module, even though this module is an original PrestaShop module, and they said the website will "recover" in few hours.
any comment or thoughts? how t respond to such attack!?
my website is elektrojo.com and am using the up to date version
This appears to be a common problem. Not only is it taking your site down, it may be being used to spam others, which has the risk of getting your domain blacklisted.
In that thread was linked an updated version of the module supporting a CAPTCHA, along with a similar modification for product reviews. It seems to be for PrestaShop 1.5 and 1.6.
If you have some kind of a "backend" which you can update modules on, you should also do that.
Another suggestion is to use fail2ban to detect repeated attempts to access this feature and block it. You may not have the necessary access to do that, but if not, your hosts should be able to.
Failing that, you should remove the sendtoafriend code (ensure the files are actually gone from their original location) until you have found a way to harden it, since it's being abused to take your site down.

I have a large library of PDF ebooks, and I'm looking for a web app to host on my site to organize and sort a database of the files, as well as have the ability to annotate them by adding data like publisher, year published, keywords, authors, etc. I have a great hosting provider (WebFaction) with access to all sorts of frameworks, like Drupal, Django, Rails, Node, etc., as well as MySQL and Postgres servers, so the language and back-end aren't that important, although .NET is out.
I've searched all over and just can't seem to find anything that fits the bill, although it seems like someone ought to have open-sourced this before. I'm not interested in services like Mendeley (http://www.mendeley.com) or Scribd, but rather something I can host myself, both to overcome file size limits and privacy issues, but also so I can check out the source and modify it if needed.
You seem to need a document management system.

i am currently undergoing the branding of a place that is in the outskirts of a major city. the situation at hand is that the place is unknown and not easy to get around, so my associates and i have planned to develop a gps application with specifics eg safari lodges, conference venues of this area and make it possible for people to download it onto their smartphones (nokia, iphone and black berry) and be able to navigate their way around.
the issue is how much would it cost to develop such an application and run it?
need an answer ASAP. thanks a mil.
The answer to this question could be 1000$, but it could be 100.000$ as well. There are so many details to a project like this that must be taken into account that it is almost impossible to answer your question more precisely.
To give an example - consider details like (but not only):
who will supply the necessary content
does the content need to be updated on a regular basis -> CMS
should the app navigate the user around in turn-by-turn style or should it be more like an interactive map
These three details alone would make a huge difference. So, the best thing you can do is contact a company or a freelance developer, brief him precisely on the matter and see how much it'll cost you.
