I've been coding for a while and moving from IDE to IDE is a real pain when what I need most is just ctag and code completion. I finally decided to go to vim, well neovim in this case but that's beside the point.
I have ctags working and was following this tutorial from the YCM site along with this one
but I can't seem to get YCM to work for me.
I followed these step:

to the top of my ~/.nvimrc file

I have a project where I created ctags and I'm able to get around the file in vim using it's ctags support but, code completion just isn't working.
I went through the steps, went inside my ~/.nvim/bundle
This error was caused by typos in my .ycm_extras file
I run :YcmDebugInfo
and I get this error that my server has crashed:

reading the stderr log I saw that I had some of these "\xe2" characters in my .ycm_extra_conf.py file.
Running a python script from this answer, I found the culprits.
I first changed to the proper directory where the .ycm_extra file was located then ran python:

I am attempting to build a legacy C/C++ embedded code base using Bazel. The code is separated into software sets. Because the system is embedded, there is an environment header include passed as an argument to the compiler for each software set. The header path is defined using a #define:
The source file of software_set_b may begin with:

Note that you can have an empty default by simply creating a cc_library(name="empty") and pointing the default_build_setting at that. Further, you might find the pattern of configuration around constraint_setting/constraint_value/platform/select to be a more useful pattern for you, rather than your flag based approach. I am working on yocto, I want to compile some C files in yocto and install the resulting binary to external filesystem.
Before doing that I tried creating a separate reciepe and compile c code from it.
I am unable to compile it.

If you want to have the C files in your recipe, having a file tree like this:

It is possible to use a directory present on the filesystem by using externalsrc.
I did not try it myself, nor have I the workspace ready to do, but #71GA in the comment tested the tutorial from the Koan software company https://wiki.koansoftware.com/index.php/Building_Software_from_an_External_Source and it worked. I will copy the content here:

In the chapter 7.3 Writting a New Recipe of the yocto mega-manual, the very first example is exactly is what you need (Single .c File Package (Hello World!)).
Is there a way to just list all new packages and their dependencies that port will install for a given command?
For instance, consider installing the SciPy stack with the suggested:
sudo port install py27-numpy py27-scipy py27-matplotlib py27-ipython +notebook py27-pandas py27-sympy py27-nose
That installs a ton of packages and dependencies not listed in the above command.
Also, some of them I already have.
I'm already aware of the -y switch but that gives a verbose output of everything, including packages I had already installed.
I'm interested to have port tell me which new packages (be it dependencies or not) will be installed.
Is there a known way or do people just parse the -y output of the command, comparing each reported package against the existing installed packages?

You can use a port expression to print what will be installed:
port echo rdepof:$yourport and not installed
or for multiple ports
port echo \( rdepof:$yourport rdepof:$yourport2 ... \) and not installed
Due to the number of Portfiles involved in this and how the set operations are implemented, this will be rather slow. That being said, we're also working on improving this and providing feedback prior to installation like apt-get in a future MacPorts version.

It can be invoked like port_rdeps.py libomp configure.compiler=macports-clang-3.7. As a bonus, it can show the uninstalled dependencies as a tree.
I have a module running on my Linux machine and can see it using lsmod command. Now I made some changes (added some printk) to this module, recompiled it and got the .ko.
Now I did rmmod to remove this module (some other modules also which are using this module), did insmod xxx.ko and rebooted the system.
Now where do I see the statements added using printk? I tried to see using
dmesg grep | "SPI RW"
But I couldn't find anything. What am I doing wrong here?

I am trying to compile ioauek3 on our IBM PowerPC machine that is running with a Linux environment.
I got this error:

After searching the net for an answer, I found many point to doing a "make speex-reconf".
I downloaded:
http://downloads.xiph.org/releases/speex/speex-1.2rc1.tar.gz
I unpacked it. Then, ran a "make". Since, I have no "install" privileges, I just ran a "make".
Then, I did a "make speex-reconf".
I got a load of output.
I went back to my ioquake3 folder, and did another "make". But, still the error wouldn't go away.
What am I missing here?

What you show is the result of running:
make -speex-reconf
You did not want the dash in front of that; you should have typed:
make speex-reconf
Whether that would be sufficient is a wholly separate issue.
