DNN custom skin made login page disappear - dotnetnuke

I am new to DNN and I'm trying to make a site with custom skin.
Skinning is all ok but once the superuser is time out, I couldn't login again.
The login page has disappeared and was being redirected to an empty custom skin page which only shows the header and the footer.
I have tried
localhost:1234/login
localhost:1234/admin
localhost:1234/?ctl=
but neither of them are working.
I tried to search for solutions but none of them seems to work and not relating.
Please show me a way, if I am missing somethings.

You might look at the Admin/Event Viewer page if you happen to still be logged in somehow (or eventlog table in the database) to see if there is an error being thrown, that isn't being displayed (because you aren't logged in).
That may point to the problem.
You might have a problem with a "container" that is missing thus the module isn't being loaded.
A few other things to try, try
localhost:1234/?ctl=login
localhost:1234/?ctl=register
See if anything loads for those.
Last resort, go into the database and NULL out the SKinSRC columns on the TABS table and see if you can find the default site Skin setting in the PortalSettings and make that null or something other than your custom skin.

SSRS 2016 Toolbar Back Button

I am trying to figure out in SSRS 2016 why the back button goes missing and how to get it back. I am adding the report into an iFrame of another application - I do not have access to that application's code, I just get to put in a URL.
If I put in a URL like this:
http://sqlservername/Reports/report/Cityworks%20Reports/Parks/ParksReport?rs:embed=true
I get the back button, however the report does not scroll horizontally very well.
If I put the URL in like this, the report scrolls horizontally very well however the back button goes missing:
http://sqlservername/ReportServer/Pages/ReportViewer.aspx?Cityworks+Reports%2fParks%2fParksReport&rs:Command=Render
I have tried to see what other options are available and am stumped at the moment. Has anyone come across this and know a solution?
Try add to the wanted URL the follow parameter
&rc:showbackbutton=true
One URL is for the Report manager, and the other for Browsing. The URL with YourServer\ReportServer is the browser landing page; there's therefore no "need" for the back button as it's purely a browsing page. If you go to http://YourServerName/ReportServer you'll see you have a page that very much looks like one you get with IIS with folder browsing enabled. Normally you only land on these pages when you receive a report by email, which contains a link to the report; or you are an end user.
The other URL YourServer\Reports is the report manager. It makes more sense here to have a back button, as you are navigating a management portal. As a result you could have come from other pages other than the folder browser page.

Unable to add a new page in DNN9 (dotnetnuke version 9)

I installed dnn version 9. When I want to add a new page I go to the contents-> Pages-> Add page. an empty white page appears without any options to add a new page or event to cancel.
This is caused by a problem with your templates folder, either missing, or bad permissions. I'm guessing when you installed you chose the blank template?
I've got a blog post on things to try to resolve
http://www.chrishammond.com/Blog/itemId/2692/Canrsquot-add-ldquopagesrdquo-in-DNN9
"If you are having problems adding Pages in DNN 9, read this blog post.
I recently upgraded all of my sites to DNN 9, the most recent one being upgraded last night. This morning I wake up to an email from a client of mine reporting a problem with adding pages in one of their sites that they also upgraded to DNN recently. I read through their email, and decide that I’ll look into their issue a bit later, have an itch to scratch on one of my own websites, so I’ll get to them later (sorry client).
Working on this site that I upgrade last night, I decided I wanted to add another page to the site, low and behold, I was unable to do so.
To add a page in DNN9 you click on the “Content” option in the persona bar, and then the Pages option. There you will be presented with a view similar to this:
image
When I clicked on Add Page there, the screen went blank, like so:
image
That’s not very useful, actually that is as far from useful as possible. Once that happens, you can’t actually “do” anything from an Admin perspective. You have to “leave” this page, go somewhere else (click on manage/users for example, then you might need to click BACK in your browser a bunch of times) then you can click on Content/Pages again to get back into the Page listing for a site.
So why is the persona bar page blank? This error is the cause:
GET https://SOMEPORTALALIASHERE/API/PersonaBar/Pages/GetDefaultSettings? 500 (Internal Server Error)
If you dig into the DNN Error Log (Admin Logs) a bit you might find a more detailed error, something along the lines of
Message:Value cannot be null. Parameter name: source
StackTrace:
at System.Linq.Enumerable.FirstOrDefault[TSource](IEnumerable1 source, Func2 predicate) at Dnn.PersonaBar.Pages.Components.TemplateController.GetDefaultTemplateId(IEnumerable`1 templates) at Dnn.PersonaBar.Pages.Components.PagesControllerImpl.GetDefaultSettings() at Dnn.PersonaBar.Pages.Services.PagesController.GetDefaultSettings() at lambda_method(Closure , Object , Object[] ) at
So what does that message tell you? Well something is happening with your DNN Install trying to get a list of “page templates”. In digging further, on my site, I found the issue to be the File Permissions on the Templates folder in the portals/0/ directory. For some reason on the site that I upgraded last night, my permissions were set to ALL USERS DENY on the “Browse Files in Folder” and “Open Files in Folder” check boxes.
image
Unchecking those, clicking SAVE resolved my “pages” persona bar issues. How did those permissions get set? Who knows, this DNN site has been around since 2008 or earlier, and that never caused a problem.
There are definitely some “kinks” to be worked out of DNN9, but so far I am digging the new experience.
Regarding my “client”’s site, they had a similar, but different issue. In their case, the TEMPLATES folder didn’t exist in the Portal that they were trying to use. Simply creating a new Templates folder in their File Manager fixed that problem for their site."
I tried out many solutions but finally I figure it out by reinstalling and add Object Qualifier. because it is optional field I leave it without any value in my first installation
This error was fixed in DNN 9.0.1

Post, Comments, Pages, etc, not showing up in Wordpress Admin

I recently moved my WordPress site from one host to another. I cancelled the previous host already because everything displayed just fine on the front end.
However, when I go to Admin Panel, I get a lot of empty pages. The comments, Posts and other pages display a correct count of items at the top, but the actual content is not displayed.
I have disabled all plugins, changed the theme, tried Wordpress Repair, none worked.
Also, some times when I refresh the page, the first item on the list appears, I refresh again, the page goes blank, I refresh again, the page appears but no comments.
The way it works, it almost seems like the script gets terminated while retrieving data.

I'd appreciate your help!
Seems like pages are not getting rendered due to some error. Kindly change the define( 'WP_DEBUG', true ); in wp-config.php to find them & troubleshoot. Once issues are fixed pages will render properly.

How do I fix a 1/2 broken DNN path?

Somehow my DNN has a broken path a particular url serves pages, but doesn't work for delete or advanced options (delivers a 404 error)
The taburls table has no entries for this tab.
If I change the url through the tabs table then I'm able to delete the page without issue.
I tried accessing the page options via tabid, but the tabid gets converted to the friendly name and then 404s.
I tried turning off friendly urls in my web.config but I may have done it wrong since the entire site would not load (yellowscreen of death)
I'm wondering where DNN is storing this path that is breaking the advanced options of whatever page is at the path.
How do I fix this url so it displays page options and lets me delete pages?
First thing I would try is going to the Admin/Page Management screen, can you make the changes you need to via that interface? If so, after making the changes, are you able to access the page and all the features/options correctly?
If that doesn't work, check the TabPath column in the TABS table to see if there are any bad paths in there for specific pages that you are having problems with.

DNN "Welcome to your new website" Pop Up

"Welcome to your new website" popup in DNN 7.2 and above shows some dynamic content. Its visible only to host users and doesn't reappears if "don't show this again" checkbox is checked once.
I need to develop something on similar lines where a popup should appear every-time a user of specific role(and some business logic) logs in. I think about creating a custom module and add it to all pages which could this for me but it seems welcome to your new site popup already tackles this.
Now I need to know if its somehow feasible to alter or extend this popup as per my need. I googled for some time and went through quick search in DNN code but haven't found anything convincing on this. Please suggest if what I think with this popup is feasible or I am searching in wrong path and creating custom module is my only way.
Thanks,
Ravi
I would think the best way to handle this would be with a custom skin object, and a custom module to manage the announcements.
