Execute anonymous apex code in production salesforce - salesforce

I wanted to execute below code in 'Execute Anonymous' window in production every 5 minutes. I don't want to create Batch/Schedule classes at this time.
List<Queue_Member__c> qlistupd = new List<Queue_Member__c>();
for(Queue_Member__c q : [SELECT Id, Name, Last_Assigned_Case__c, Number_of_Open_Cases__c, Login_Status__c, Agent__c, Threshold__c, Chase_owner__c FROM Queue_Member__c]){
Integer count = [SELECT count() from case where status in ('Open', 'Action Required') and Ownerid = :q.Agent__c and RecordType.Name = 'TASQ OneSource'];
q.Number_of_Open_Cases__c = count;
qlistupd.add(q);
}
if(!qlistupd.isEmpty()){
try{
update qlistupd;
}
Catch(Exception e){
System.debug('Exception occured' + e);
}
}
Thanks
Kumar

The only way to do this is to copy your code in Batch class and schedule that class.
Batch/schedule class implementation is quite easy, and you can schedule class with one line of code, something like
System.schedule('Every 0th min of hour', '0 0 * * * ?', new scheduledMerge());

I sheduled an apex class to run everyday, but nothing happens. Can somebody help me out?

I wrote this APEX class and sheduled it to run every day.I don't get an error message, but unfortunately the class doesn't do anything... Can anybody help me out?
global class CustomersDateCheck implements Schedulable {
global void execute(SchedulableContext sc) {
List<Customers__c> CustomerList = [SELECT Id FROM Customers__c];
DateCheck(CustomerList);}
public static void DateCheck(Customers__c[] objects){
for(Customers__c obj: objects){
if(obj.DateField > Date.today()){
continue;}
else{obj.FlowUpdateHelper__c = true;}
}
}
}
you write the Schedulable now you need Schedule it.
run this 3 line of code in developer console then check apex jobs
//will run daily at 13:00
CustomersDateCheck m = new CustomersDateCheck();
String sch = '0 0 13 * * ?';
String jobID = system.schedule('Customers Date Check Job', sch, m);
https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.apexcode.meta/apexcode/apex_scheduler.htm
The error means you're trying to access something that you didn't include in the query, in this case the Customers__c.DateField__c , you need to either remove the reference to that, or update your query to include that info

How to get the code coverage required to deploy Apex Class

Please Help!!!
I have this Apex controller class that I'm trying to deploy from Salesforce Sandbox to Production but I'm not getting the code coverage required!!
the class is consuming 3 objects, one is stranded and 2 are custom and constructing a hierarchy tree view for those three objects.
//Apex Class
public class TeeView {
/* Wrapper class to contain the nodes and their children */
public class cNodes
{
Public StandardObject gparent {get;set;}
public List<CustomObject1__c> parent {get; set;}
Public List<CustomObject2__c> child {get;set;}
public cNodes(StandardObject gp, List<CustomObject1__c> p, List<CustomObject2__c> c)
{
parent = p;
gparent = gp;
child = c;
}
}
/* end of Wrapper class */
Public List<cNodes> hierarchy;
Public List<cNodes> getmainnodes()
{
hierarchy = new List<cNodes>();
List<StandardObject> tempparent = [Select Id,Name , End_Date__c, Owner.Name Account.Name from Contract ];
for (Integer i =0; i< tempparent.size() ; i++)
{
List<CustomObject1__c> tempchildren = [Select Id,Name, Owner.Name , (select Id,Name, Owner.Name from CustomObject2__r) from CustomObject1__c where Related_Field__c = :tempparent[i].Id];
List<CustomObject2__c> tempchild = [Select Id,Name Owner.Name from CustomObject2__c where Related_Field__c= :tempparent[i].Id];
hierarchy.add(new cNodes(tempparent[i],tempchildren, tempchild));
}
return hierarchy;
}
}
//Test Class
#isTest
public class treeviewTest
{
static testMethod void test1()
{
test.startTest();
Account acc = new Account(Name = 'Unit test account');
insert acc;
StandardObject c = new StandardObject(
Name = 'test',
AccountId = acc.Id,
Status = 'Draft',
StartDate = System.today());
try
{
insert c;
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
ApexPages.addMessages(ex);
}
List<StandardObject> standard = [select Id, Name from StandardObject where Name = 'test'];
system.assertequals(standard.size(), 1);
CustomObject1__c s = new CustomObject1__c(
Related_StandardObjectField__c = c.Id,
Name = 'test'
);
try
{
insert s;
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
ApexPages.addMessages(ex);
}
List<CustomObject1__c> cus1 = [select Id, Name from CustomObject1__c where Name = 'test'];
system.assertequals(cus1.size(), 1);
insert new CustomObject2__c(Related_StandardObjectField__c = c.Id, Description__c = 'test');
List<CustomObject2__c> cus2 = [select Id, Name from CustomObject2__c where Description__c = 'test'];
system.assertequals(cus2.size(), 1);
insert new CustomObject2__c(Related_CustomObject1Field__c = s.Id, Description__c = 'test');
List<Mods__c> cus3 = [select Id, Name from Mods__c where Description__c = 'test'];
system.assertequals(cus3.size(), 1);
treeView view = new treeView();
view.getmainnodes();
test.stopTest();
}
}
Oh man, where do we even start... Looks like you copy-pasted some code at random trying to get the test to work? Your code works on Contract, CustomObject1__c, CustomObject2__c. Your unit test inserts Contract, Subaward__c, Mods__c. Was this some attempt at anonymizing your code? And what's this List<StandardObject> thing, it shouldn't even compile.
I think you need help of a developer with more experience, you've cobbled something together but it doesn't follow the Salesforce best practices for code...
About the main class
Smart use of subqueries will mean
you waste less SOQL (it's bad idea to blindly select all records without any filters but whatever),
don't run into errors related to "too many SOQL statements" (the limit is 100 so since you query in a loop - your code will crash and burn the moment you have around 50 Contracts)
lead to compact code occupying less lines (easier to maintain & cover with tests).
I'd go with something like that, query Contract & first related list in one go and then the parents + children in another query. Using a Map to link them for displaying.
List<Contract> levelOneAndTwo = [SELECT Id, Name, End_Date__c, Owner.Name, Account.Name,
(SELECT Id,Name, Owner.Name FROM Subawards__r)
FROM Contract];
Map<Id, SubAward__c> levelTwoAndThree = new Map<Id, Subaward__c>([SELECT Id,
(SELECT Id,Name Owner.Name FROM Mods__r)
FROM Subaward__c WHERE Contract__c = :levelOneAndTwo];
);
This wastes only 2 queries but fetches all contracts and their related data. Then you can loop over results building your wrapper object or just feed it directly to Visualforce for displaying.
About the unit test
You don't get the coverage because you're spread too thin. One unit test methods inserts only Contracts (so your main query will hit something, give you some coverage). Then another method (in completely different context) inserts some child objects - but they don't matter. In that other method there are 0 contracts so it won't even enter your main loop. Combine it into one?
Account acc = new Account(Name = 'Unit test account');
insert acc;
Contract c = new Contract(
Name = 'test contract',
AccountId = acc.Id,
Status = 'Draft',
StartDate = System.today()
);
insert c;
Subaward__c s = new Subaward(
Contract__c = c.Id,
Name = 'test'
);
insert s;
insert new Mod__c(Subaward__c = c.Id, Description__c = 'test');
Now you have nice tree hierarchy set up, from Account all the way down. Queries in the test should hit some data.
I was finally able to get %100 code coverage for the above class by adding these lines to the test class:
treeView view = new treeView();
view.getmainnodes();
system.assert(view.hierarchy.size() > 0);

Insert CSV using Apex Batch Class Salesforce for OpportunityLineItem

I want to add a button to my opportunity header record that is called Insert Products. This will send the opportunity ID to a visualforce page which will have a select file button and an insert button that will loop through the CSV and insert the records to the related opportunity.
This is for non technical users so using Data loader is not an option.
I got this working using standard apex class however hit a limit when i load over 1,000 records (which would happen regularly).
I need to convert this to a batch process however am not sure how to do this.
Any one able to point me in the right direction? I understand a batch should have a start, execute and finish. However i am not sure where i should split the csv and where to read and load?
I found this link which i could not work out how to translate into my requirements: http://developer.financialforce.com/customizations/importing-large-csv-files-via-batch-apex/
Here is the code i have for the standard apex class which works.
public class importOppLinesController {
public List<OpportunityLineItem> oLiObj {get;set;}
public String recOppId {
get;
// *** setter is NOT being called ***
set {
recOppId = value;
System.debug('value: '+value);
}
}
public Blob csvFileBody{get;set;}
public string csvAsString{get;set;}
public String[] csvFileLines{get;set;}
public List<OpportunityLineItem> oppLine{get;set;}
public importOppLinesController(){
csvFileLines = new String[]{};
oppLine = New List<OpportunityLineItem>();
}
public void importCSVFile(){
PricebookEntry pbeId;
String unitPrice = '';
try{
csvAsString = csvFileBody.toString();
csvFileLines = csvAsString.split('\n');
for(Integer i=1;i<csvFileLines.size();i++){
OpportunityLineItem oLiObj = new OpportunityLineItem() ;
string[] csvRecordData = csvFileLines[i].split(',');
String pbeCode = csvRecordData[0];
pbeId = [SELECT Id FROM PricebookEntry WHERE ProductCode = :pbeCode AND Pricebook2Id = 'xxxx HardCodedValue xxxx'][0];
oLiObj.PricebookEntryId = pbeId.Id;
oLiObj.Quantity = Decimal.valueOf(csvRecordData[1]) ;
unitPrice = String.valueOf(csvRecordData[2]);
oLiObj.UnitPrice = Decimal.valueOf(unitPrice);
oLiObj.OpportunityId = 'recOppId';;
insert (oLiObj);
}
}
catch (Exception e)
{
ApexPages.Message errorMessage = new ApexPages.Message(ApexPages.severity.ERROR, e + ' - ' + unitPrice);
ApexPages.addMessage(errorMessage);
}
}
}
First problem that I can sense is that the insert DML statement is inside FOR-loop. Can you put the new "oLiObj" into a List that is declared before the FOR-loop starts and then try inserting the list after the FOR-loop ?
It should bring some more sanity in your code.

Automating password reset in salesforce

I want to automate the password reset in salesforce for 10 specific users everytime. For doing this I have written a Apex class in salesforce. And I want to schedule this class also.But I am new in Apex coding.
Here is the class that I have written:
public class DataTeam_ResetPassword
{
public DataTeam_ResetPassword()
{
List<id> DteamIDs = new List<id>{'005A0000003ja3x'};
for(Id u : DteamIDs)
{
system.setPassword(u,'qweEfetividade_1');
system.setPassword(u,'werwEfetividade_1');
system.setPassword(u,'wetEfetividade_1');
system.setPassword(u,'dsfEfetividade_1');
system.setPassword(u,'bhcvEfetividade_1');
system.setPassword(u,'dhEfetividade_1');
system.setPassword(u,'fjfjEfetividade_1');
system.setPassword(u,'tyEfetividade_1');
system.setPassword(u,'tweEfetividade_1');
system.setPassword(u,'mmEfetividade_1');
system.setPassword(u,'rwrEfetividade_1');
system.setPassword(u,'jkgkEfetividade_1');
system.setPassword(u,'5y4yEfetividade_1');
system.setPassword(u,'kjEfetividade_1');
system.setPassword(u,'asgaghEfetividade_1');
system.setPassword(u,'Efafwrwrw_1');
}
}
}
can any one help me what next should I need to do?
You may be better server by having a common profile for all the required users and then having a specific password policy for that profile. See Set Session Timeout and Password Policies for Individual Profiles
Create an Apex Scheduler and use System.resetPassword(ID userID, Boolean send_user_email).
global class scheduledPasswordReset implements Schedulable {
global void execute(SchedulableContext SC) {
Boolean sendUserEmail = true;
System.resetPassword('005A0000003ja3x', sendUserEmail);
// Repeat for other User Ids to reset.
}
}
Start with something like:
scheduledPasswordReset m = new scheduledPasswordReset();
String sch = '20 30 8 10 2 ?';
String jobID = system.schedule('Reset Password Job', sch, m);
Alter the expression above to run as required.

salesforce SOQL : query to fetch all the fields on the entity

I was going through the SOQL documentation , but couldn't find query to fetch all the field data of an entity say , Account , like
select * from Account [ SQL syntax ]
Is there a syntax like the above in SOQL to fetch all the data of account , or the only way is to list all the fields ( though there are lot of fields to be queried )
Create a map like this:
Map<String, Schema.SObjectField> fldObjMap = schema.SObjectType.Account.fields.getMap();
List<Schema.SObjectField> fldObjMapValues = fldObjMap.values();
Then you can iterate through fldObjMapValues to create a SOQL query string:
String theQuery = 'SELECT ';
for(Schema.SObjectField s : fldObjMapValues)
{
String theLabel = s.getDescribe().getLabel(); // Perhaps store this in another map
String theName = s.getDescribe().getName();
String theType = s.getDescribe().getType(); // Perhaps store this in another map
// Continue building your dynamic query string
theQuery += theName + ',';
}
// Trim last comma
theQuery = theQuery.subString(0, theQuery.length() - 1);
// Finalize query string
theQuery += ' FROM Account WHERE ... AND ... LIMIT ...';
// Make your dynamic call
Account[] accounts = Database.query(theQuery);
superfell is correct, there is no way to directly do a SELECT *. However, this little code recipe will work (well, I haven't tested it but I think it looks ok). Understandably Force.com wants a multi-tenant architecture where resources are only provisioned as explicitly needed - not easily by doing SELECT * when usually only a subset of fields are actually needed.
You have to specify the fields, if you want to build something dynamic the describeSObject call returns the metadata about all the fields for an object, so you can build the query from that.
I use the Force.com Explorer and within the schema filter you can click the checkbox next to the TableName and it will select all the fields and insert into your query window - I use this as a shortcut to typeing it all out - just copy and paste from the query window. Hope this helps.
In case anyone was looking for a C# approach, I was able to use reflection and come up with the following:
public IEnumerable<String> GetColumnsFor<T>()
{
return typeof(T).GetProperties(System.Reflection.BindingFlags.Public | System.Reflection.BindingFlags.Instance)
.Where(x => !Attribute.IsDefined(x, typeof(System.Xml.Serialization.XmlIgnoreAttribute))) // Exclude the ignored properties
.Where(x => x.DeclaringType != typeof(sObject)) // & Exclude inherited sObject propert(y/ies)
.Where(x => x.PropertyType.Namespace != typeof(Account).Namespace) // & Exclude properties storing references to other objects
.Select(x => x.Name);
}
It appears to work for the objects I've tested (and matches the columns generated by the API test). From there, it's about creating the query:
/* assume: this.server = new sForceService(); */
public IEnumerable<T> QueryAll<T>(params String[] columns)
where T : sObject
{
String soql = String.Format("SELECT {0} FROM {1}",
String.Join(", ", GetColumnsFor<T>()),
typeof(T).Name
);
this.service.QueryOptionsValue = new QueryOptions
{
batchsize = 250,
batchSizeSpecified = true
};
ICollection<T> results = new HashSet<T>();
try
{
Boolean done = false;
QueryResult queryResult = this.service.queryAll(soql);
while (!finished)
{
sObject[] records = queryResult.records;
foreach (sObject record in records)
{
T entity = entity as T;
if (entity != null)
{
results.Add(entity);
}
}
done &= queryResult.done;
if (!done)
{
queryResult = this.service.queryMode(queryResult.queryLocator);
}
}
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
throw; // your exception handling
}
return results;
}
For me it was the first time with Salesforce today and I came up with this in Java:
/**
* #param o any class that extends {#link SObject}, f.ex. Opportunity.class
* #return a list of all the objects of this type
*/
#SuppressWarnings("unchecked")
public <O extends SObject> List<O> getAll(Class<O> o) throws Exception {
// get the objectName; for example "Opportunity"
String objectName= o.getSimpleName();
// this will give us all the possible fields of this type of object
DescribeSObjectResult describeSObject = connection.describeSObject(objectName);
// making the query
String query = "SELECT ";
for (Field field : describeSObject.getFields()) { // add all the fields in the SELECT
query += field.getName() + ',';
}
// trim last comma
query = query.substring(0, query.length() - 1);
query += " FROM " + objectName;
SObject[] records = connection.query(query).getRecords();
List<O> result = new ArrayList<O>();
for (SObject record : records) {
result.add((O) record);
}
return result;
}
I used following to get complete records-
query_all("Select Id, Name From User_Profile__c")
To get complete fields of record, we have to mention those fields as mentioned here-
https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.soql_sosl.meta/soql_sosl/sforce_api_calls_soql_select.htm
Hope will help you !!!
