I need help here. Used Solr and process 2 commands: start and create a core. But when I try to access the Admin UI, It pops up this error
500 Error get #/Object Expected
and I cannot see the dashboard. The commands I used is just 2 simple steps:
bin\solr start
bin\solr create -c Test
The cmd shows that the core is created successfully. Does anyone knows why?
I using solr 5.1.0 and java version 1.7. Thanks a lot.

I am trying to create a solr core, I am using drupalvm with vagrant and virtual box.
When setting up solr with this command:
sudo su - solr -c "/opt/solr/bin/solr create -c m4m -d /tmp/search_api_solr/solr-conf/7.x/"
I am getting this error:
INFO - 2018-11-05 19:21:45.804; org.apache.solr.util.configuration.SSLCredentialProviderFactory; Processing SSL Credential Provider chain: env;sysprop
ERROR: Error CREATEing SolrCore 'mycore': Unable to create core [mycore] Caused by: solr.ICUCollationField
Creating a core without specifying the -d <confdir> option is successful but gives me some really weird errors in the solr dashboard and Drupal UI which research indicates has something to do with a corrupted core.
Any help with why I am getting this error would be much appreciated. Other developers using the same vagrant installation is running without issue.
If you create the core without the config directory, solr will use it's default configurations.
Which in turn, will have none of the drupal needed field definitions, and so forth.
What you need to do, if you know a little bit about the solr's structure, and if you use solr > version 7 is:
go to where your solr installation is
cd /PATH_TO_SOLR/server/solr-webapp/webapp/WEB-INF/lib
Copy all jars from the analysis-extras folder to your wEB-INF/lib folder
cp /PATH_TO_SOLR/contrib/analysis-extras/lib/*.jar ./
restart solr the way you normally do, specifying your -d config directory. That's important.
Hope this helps.
OR...
Save your hassle and let the pros handle all this for you with a SaaS such as the likes of https://opensolr.com
You can create your solr index with 1 click, and you need 2 more clicks to upload your config files and you're done.
I need jars from 2 directories:
cd /PATH_TO_SOLR
cp solr/contrib/analysis-extras/lib/*.jar solr/server/solr-webapp/webapp/WEB-INF/lib/
cp solr/contrib/analysis-extras/lucene-libs/*.jar solr/server/solr-webapp/webapp/WEB-INF/lib/
see solr/contrib/analysis-extras/README.txt
Hello guys I am new in Nutch for web crawling.I followed the steps on
Nutch official site tutorial.
I typed the command in terminal
$ bin/crawl -i -D solr.server.url=http://localhost:8983/solr/ urls/ TestCrawl/ 2
where urls has seed file contains website name and TestCrawl is my db directory.
It's giving me error with exit value 255.I am not sure what error is this.So I am posting my terminal screen shot here.
did you build nutch using ant clean and ant runtime commands ?
If yes then rather than running nutch via nutch located in $NUTCH_HOME/bin/nutch use the from located inside $NUTCH_HOME/runtime/local/bin/nutch.
If not then first build run using ant runtime command.
HTH.
I'v just started to learn solr. From last 3 days I'm in trouble. I can not
index rich documents on solr 3.6 and 4.0. I am using windows7 64bit.
what i tried is as:
First I installed solr 3.6 with tomcat-jetty.using BitNami Apache
1.tried -Durl command what i got :
error #500 lazy loading error
2.Download curl for my window machine and tried curl i got: error #500 lazy loading error
3.copied a program from solr tutorial to upload a file using solrJ for
SolrJ in NetBeans IDE and tried a pdf files to indexed using
update/extract
then i got:
org.apache.solr.common.SolrException: Server at
"myServer:port/solr" returned non ok status:500, message:Internal
Server Error
4.changed solconfig.xml so removed startup=lazy from update/extract
request handler and got the same thing
I re-installed solr 3.6 again but can't succeed. 4.0 gives the same error.
Same problem with some other request handler also like /browse says
etc.
Should i switch to Linux?
Looks like the packager (Bitnami) did not include that library, even though they left Solr configured to use that library. You may ask them to resolve it. Or you can deploy it yourself.
Here's how to deploy Solr on Tomcat. Its equally easy to install on Windows; and it starts as a Windows service. Once installed, to enable the rich document support, copy the contents of contrib/extraction/lib/ to a directory and point the sharedLib in solr.xml to that directory. If you have used that guide, you will understand those new terms :-)
I'm a newbie in cakephp, I'm trying to upgrade cakephp to the latest version.
I install the fresh cakephp 1.3 on my computer and the upgrade it to cakephp 2.1.
I use shell to upgrade, but after I run 'upgrade all' command, I saw two error:
Warning Error: chmod(): Operation not permitted in [/var/www/cakephp-1.3/lib/Cake/Utility/Folder.php, line 639]
Warning Error: touch(): Utime failed: Operation not permitted in [/var/www/cakephp-1.3/lib/Cake/Utility/Folder.php, line 640]
I think it has upgraded complete. Because I see the message from terminal like this:
Done updating /var/www/cakephp-1.3/app/Console/cake.php
Done updating /var/www/cakephp-1.3/app/Console/Command/AppShell.php
Running components
Running exceptions
Then I refresh my app and I got some errors:
http://flic.kr/p/bwUpwY
Then I delete 'cake' directory, and the error message has changed:
http://flic.kr/p/bKP7Te
So now I don't know what to do next, because I did many ways but still not make it work.
So anybody please tell me what I did wrong and how can I upgrade cakephp successful.
Thanks in advance.
This looks like you have permissions issues on some of the directories that the CakePHP migration script expects to be writable.
This could lead to the migration failing on some parts and leaving a partially broken install after it completes.
I have GWT app, which is deployed on GAE (Java). I'm trying to download data from App Engine datastore using appcfg.py . I did all the setup according to http://ikaisays.com/2010/06/10/using-the-bulkloader-with-java-app-engine/ .
GAE Python SDK version is 1.4.3
Python version is 2.5.4
appcfg.py is on my PATH. When I run appcfg.py on the command-line, I get the "help" message. But the problem is that no matter which command I use, it always returns the help message. I have not been able to run any command using appcfg.py.
It doesn't give any specific error message no matter what arguments I give. My app is using Google Accounts authentication, but I don't think it even gets to the point of authentication.
I'm able to use the Java appcfg (for other actions like rollback) without any problem. But the Python version simply refuses to work for all commands.
I've tried different formats like:
appcfg.py create_bulkloader_config --url=http://myappid.appspot.com/remote_api --application=myappid --filename=config.yml
appcfg.py create_bulkloader_config --filename=bulkloader.yaml --url=http://myappid.appspot.com/remote_api
appcfg.py --filename=bulkloader.yaml --url=http://myappid.appspot.com/remote_api create_bulkloader_config
All give me the same help message:
Usage: appcfg.py [options]
Action must be one of:
create_bulkloader_config: Create a bulkloader.yaml from a running application.
cron_info: Display information about cron jobs.
download_app: Download a previously-uploaded app.
download_data: Download entities from datastore.
help: Print help for a specific action.
request_logs: Write request logs in Apache common log format.
rollback: Rollback an in-progress update.
set_default_version: Set the default (serving) version.
update: Create or update an app version.
update_cron: Update application cron definitions.
update_dos: Update application dos definitions.
update_indexes: Update application indexes.
update_queues: Update application task queue definitions.
upload_data: Upload data records to datastore.
vacuum_indexes: Delete unused indexes from application.
Use 'help <action>' for a detailed description.
Options:
-h, --help Show the help message and exit.
-q, --quiet Print errors only.
-v, --verbose Print info level logs.
--noisy Print all logs.
-s SERVER, --server=SERVER
...
...
...
Even when I try "appcfg.py help create_bulkloader_config" for a detailed description, it still shows me the same standard help.
I have also tried on the local development server using the url http://127.0.0.1:8888/remote_api but it still gives the same help message.
I'm totally clueless as to what the problem is. I'm new to GWT and GAE, and any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.
The following fix worked for me. It looks like appcfg.py doesn't like PYTHON27 and ALWAYS returns the help menu. I fixed it by executing it with PYTHON25 and hard coded all my file locations:
C:\Python25-archive\python "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\google_appengine\appcfg.py" rollback C:\scripts\myapp
The right way is to change the environment variables on Windows 7:
Go to System Properties
Go to Advance System Settings
Click on Environment Variables
Append to Path variable the values C:\Python27\
Click Ok and restart your computer. (Yes, it is needed.)
Another way is to:
Open command Prompt
Locate your python.exe file. For example:
C:\Python27>_
Then, run a python command that looks like this.
python <appcfg_directory> download_app -A <your_app_id> -V <your_app_version> <output-dir>
Where <appcfg_directory> is equal to C:\Program Files\Google\google_appengine\appcfg.py. (Depending on your file location)
Don't forget to put quotes before and after <appcfg_directory>
