angularjs: Form entry problems - angularjs

I have this dynamic form which entries I would like to save. The problem is that the saved entry is like this [{"name":"Noora","":{"Gender":"Woman","Address":"filler address"}}] I'm curios why the app saves the info after name like a nameless list. Name is hardcoded input and the other two (Gender and Address) can be dynamically added when using the program.
Here is the form entry html part:
<form>
<h2>Sign in:</h2>
<div class="form-group">
<label for="eventInput">Name</label>
<input style="width: 200px;" type="text" class="form-control" id="eventInput" data-ng-model="newEntry.name">
</div>
<div data-ng-repeat="field in event.fields">
<div class="form-group">
<label for="{{$index + 1}}">{{field.name}}</label>
<input style="width: 200px;" type="text" class="form-control" id="{{$index + 1}}" data-ng-model="newEntry.[field.name]">
</div>
</div>
<span>{{entries}}</span>
<div class='wrapper text-center'>
<div class="form-group">
<div class="col-lg-4 col-lg-offset-4">
<button style="width: 100px;" data-ng-click="addEntry()" class="btn btn-primary">Enroll</button>
<p></p>
<button style="width: 100px;" data-ng-click="back()" class="btn btn-primary">Back</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</form>
and here is the controller:
App.controller('aboutController', function($scope, $location, $routeParams, eventService) {
$scope.event = eventService.getCustomers()[$routeParams.id];
$scope.back = function() {
$location.path('/');
};
$scope.addEntry = function() {
$location.path('/');
$scope.event.entries.push($scope.newEntry);
};
});
I would like to either be able to name the child list or just record the entries into a continuous list. Any idea how would it be possible?

ng-repeat : ng-model problem adding new element

I have I form of inputs and using ng-repeat I add new inputs fields dinamically with button.
Each input is already completed by "text".
The problem :
When I insert new input field by button, the first input field clean out text.
I verify in my browser debugger and first element of my Items Array is not empty. Why it is not present on input ?
There is my HTML:
<div class="row">
<div class="col-sm-10">
<input ng-repeat="item in vm.myItemsArray"
name="myItemName"
class="form-control"
type="text"
ng-model="item.value"/>
</div>
<div class="col-sm-1 col-sm-offset-1">
<span ng-click="addItem()" class="glyphicon glyphicon-plus btn-sm btn-default"/>
</div>
</div>
AND JS :
// INITIALIZE INPUTS
vm.myItemsArray = [{value: "text"}];
// ADD NEW INPUTS
function addItem() {
vm.myItemsArray.push({value: "text"});
}
(function() {
'use strict';
angular
.module('angularExampleModule',[])
.controller('angularExampleController', ['$scope', angularExampleController]);
function angularExampleController($scope){
$scope.myItemsArray = [{value: "text"}];
$scope.addItem = function () {
$scope.myItemsArray.push({value: "text"});
}
}
})();
.input-element{
margin:10px;
}
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/angularjs/1.2.23/angular.min.js"></script>
<div ng-app="angularExampleModule" ng-controller="angularExampleController">
<div class="row">
<div class="col-sm-10 input-element" ng-repeat="item in myItemsArray">
<input name="myItemName" class="form-control" type="text" ng-model="item.value"/>
</div>
<div class="col-sm-1 col-sm-offset-1">
<button ng-click="addItem()" class="glyphicon glyphicon-plus btn-sm btn-default">Add Item</button>
</div>
</div>

Angular validation directive not working properly

I am using custom angular directive for showing validation. Directive code is as below
angularFormsApp.directive('showErrors',['$timeout', function ($timeout) {
return {
restrict: 'A',
require: '^form',
link: function (scope, el, attrs, formCtrl) {
// find the text box element, which has the 'name' attribute
var inputEl = el[0].querySelector("[name]");
// convert the native text box element to an angular element
var inputNgEl = angular.element(inputEl);
// get the name on the text box so we know the property to check
// on the form controller
var inputName = inputNgEl.attr('name');
var helpText = angular.element(el[0].querySelector(".help-block"));
// only apply the has-error class after the user leaves the text box
inputNgEl.bind('blur', function () {
el.toggleClass('has-error', formCtrl[inputName].$invalid);
helpText.toggleClass('hide', formCtrl[inputName].$valid);
});
scope.$on('show-errors-event', function () {
el.toggleClass('has-error', formCtrl[inputName].$invalid);
});
scope.$on('hide-errors-event', function () {
$timeout(function () {
el.removeClass('has-error');
}, 0, false);
});
}
}
}]);
and Html is as below
<div class="container" id="login-form">
<img src="assets/img/logo-big.png">
<div class="row">
<div class="col-md-4 col-md-offset-4">
<div class="panel panel-default">

<input type="text" class="form-control" placeholder="Username" autocomplete="Off" ng-required="true" name="username" autofocus ng-model="loginUser.username">
</div>
<span class="help-block" ng-if="loginForm.username.$error.required">Username is required</span>
</div>
</div>
<div class="form-group mb-md" show-errors>
<div class="col-xs-12" >
<div class="input-group">
<span class="input-group-addon">
<i class="ti ti-key"></i>

<input type="password" class="form-control" placeholder="Password"
name="password"
ng-model="loginUser.password" autocomplete="Off"
ng-required="true">
</div>
<span class="help-block" ng-if="loginForm.password.$error.required">Password is required</span>
</div>
</div>
<div class="form-group mb-n">
<div class="col-xs-12">

<div class="checkbox-inline icheck pull-right p-n">

</div>
</div>
</form>
</div>
<div class="panel-footer">
<div class="clearfix">
Register
Login
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Controller code :
var loginController = function ($scope, $window, $routeParams, $uibModal, $location, $filter, $rootScope, DataService, SharedProperties) {
$rootScope.bodylayout = 'focused-form animated-content';
$scope.loginUser = {
username: "",
password:""
}
$scope.load = function () {
//getAppointmentInfo();
};
$scope.SubmitLoginForm = function () {
$scope.$broadcast('show-errors-event');
if ($scope.loginForm.$invalid)
return;
}
}
angularFormsApp.controller("loginController", ["$scope", "$window", "$routeParams", "$uibModal", "$location", "$filter", "$rootScope", "DataService", "SharedProperties", loginController]);
Now When I open form below input control validation span is displaying by default . When I click on Login button then its showing in red and working fine.
problem is it shouldn't show by default when Page is opend.. Please see image below
Instead of this
loginForm.password.$error.required
try this
(loginForm.$submitted || loginForm.username.$dirty) && loginForm.password.$error.required
Take a look at the ng-messages directive. Its fairly elegant. Example:
<form name="myForm">
<input type="text" ng-model="field" name="myField" required minlength="5" />
<div ng-messages="myForm.myField.$error">
<div ng-message="required">You did not enter a field</div>
<div ng-message="minlength">The value entered is too short</div>
</div>
</form>
You can then combine it with any form validation. Just place the error messages from the validators onto the elements $error object and they are automatically rendered in your UI.
I ended up here as part of my search for an issue. In my case I was using a directive with a changing minimum value like this:
ngOnChanges(changes: SimpleChanges) {
if (changes.minDate && this.control) {
this.control.updateValueAndValidity({ onlySelf: true });
}
}
This means that the form will not be updated, I removed onlySelf and it worked correctly.
this.control.updateValueAndValidity();
Just leaving this as a breadcrumb in case someone else does something similar.

Angular and Bootstrap radio buttons conflict When Editing Form

I am unable to get automatic radio button checked when I edit the User From using following Html and AngularJs Code. When I console {{changeUser}} this returns following data
{"id":1,"username":"Ramesh","password":"Ramesh1#23","role":"admin","active":"no"}. When I load the edit form I have to automatically checked the no radio button in the following code.
<div class="portlet-body form">
<!-- BEGIN FORM-->
<form class="form-horizontal form-bordered" name="editUserForm" data-ng-submit="userEdit(changeUser)">
<div class="form-body">
<div class="form-group">

<span style="color:red" class="error" data-ng-show="editUserForm.userName.$error.pattern" >Only letters, integers, and underscores.Minimum 5 characters to maximum 15 characters.</span>

<div class="form-group">

<span style="color:red" class="error" data-ng-show="editUserForm.changePassword.$error.pattern">Minimum of 8 characters, 1 capital letter,1 lowercase, 1 special-case and 1 numeric.</span>

</form>
<!-- END FORM-->

</div>
The Controller is
(function (){
"use strict";
function UsersEditController($scope, UserFactory, $http, $location) {
$scope.$on('$viewContentLoaded', function () {
App.initAjax(); // initialize core components
});
$scope.changeUser = {};
$scope.changeUser = UserFactory.get();
$scope.userEdit = function(data) {
$scope.changeUser = data;
console.log($scope.changeUser);
};
$scope.usersPattern = {
password: '((?=.*\\d)(?=.*[a-z])(?=.*[A-Z])(?=.*[!##$%]).{8,20})'
};
$scope.cancelEdit = function() {
$location.path('users');
};
}
UsersEditController.$inject = ['$scope', 'UserFactory', '$http', '$location'];
angular.module('books').controller('UsersEditController', UsersEditController);
})()
And I guess this is your answer (even without js code provided :) )

You need to add ng-value and use it instead of the standard value

AngularJS refresh smart table after inserting new record in Bootstrap Modal Form

I use angular-bootstrap and and Angular Smart table.
I have a modal form which adds new records to database and shows the list in my smart table. Adding new records is working fine but how do I refresh my smart table after a new record is inserted into the database.
Controller
//ajax request to gather data and list in smart table
october.controllers['dashboard/feeds'] = function ($scope, $filter , $request, $modal, $log, $http) {
$scope.api = $request('onFeeds', {success: function(data, scope){
this.success(data).done(function() {
$scope.rowCollection = [];
$scope.rowCollection = angular.fromJson(data.result);
$scope.displayedCollection = [].concat($scope.rowCollection);
});
}
});
}
//Modal
var ModalInstanceCtrl = function ($scope, $modalInstance, $request, $filter) {
$scope.save = function (data) {
$request('onAddFeed',
{data:data,
success: function(data){
this.success(data);
$scope.refresh();
$modalInstance.close();
}
});
};
};
Template
<script type="text/ng-template" id="myModalContent.html">
<div class="modal-header">
<h3 class="modal-title">neue Feed eintragen!</h3>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
<form class="form-horizontal" role="form">
<input type=hidden ng-init="formInfo.user_id = {% endverbatim %} {{ user.id }} ">
{%verbatim %}
<div class="form-group">
<label for="inputName3" class="col-sm-2 control-label">Feed Name</label>
<div class="col-sm-8">
<input class="form-control" id="inputName3" placeholder="Feed Name" ng-model="formInfo.name">
</div>
</div>
<div class="form-group">
<label for="inputEmail3" class="col-sm-2 control-label">Feed Type</label>
<div class="col-sm-8">
<select ng-model="formInfo.feed_type" class="form-control">
<option>Select Feed Source</option>
<option value="api">API</option>
<option value="xml">XML</option>
<option value="csv">CSV</option>
<option value="json">JSON</option>
<option value="upload">Upload</option>
</select>
</div>
</div>
<div class="form-group" ng-show="formInfo.feed_type =='api'">
<label for="selectAPI" class="col-sm-2 control-label">Select API</label>
<div class="col-sm-8">
<select ng-change="selectAction(item.id)" ng-model="formInfo.network_id" ng-options="item.id as item.name for item in networks" class="form-control"> </select>
</div>
</div>
<div class="form-group" ng-repeat="setup in setups">
<label for="setup" class="col-sm-2 control-label">{{setup}}</label>
<div class="col-sm-8">
<input ng-model="formInfo['api_credentials'][setup]" class="form-control" placeholder="Enter your {{setup}}">
</div>
</div>
<div class="form-group" ng-show="formInfo.feed_type =='xml' || formInfo.feed_type =='csv' ">
<label for="inputPassword3" class="col-sm-2 control-label">Source</label>
<div class="col-sm-8">
<div class="input-group">
<div class="input-group-addon"><i class="fa fa-link"></i></div>
<input ng-model="formInfo.source" type="text" class="form-control" id="sourceInput" placeholder="URL">
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<span>{{formInfo}}</span>
</form>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="submit" class="btn btn-primary" ng-click="save(formInfo)">Save</button>
<button type="button" class="btn btn-warning" ng-click="cancel()">Cancel</button>
</div>
</script>
{data:data,
success: function(data){
this.success(data);
$scope.refresh();
$modalInstance.close();
}
In the above code Instead of $scope.refresh() use $route.reload() to
Update the records before closing Modal Instance.
reload() Causes $route service to reload the current route even if $location hasn't changed
To refresh the smart-table you can add or remove items or just recreate the array.
$scope.tableData = [].concat($scope.tableData);
The thing that worked for me (and appears to be causing you the problem) is to set displayedCollection to an empty array. Smart Table will fill it with whatever paged, filtered, or sorted data you designate. Something like this:
<table st-table="displayedCollection" st-safe-src="rowCollection">
All of a sudden, rowCollection.push(data) automatically updated the Smart Table.

Unable to determine why form won't submit

I've created a basic angular form and can't determine why it's not submitting.
http://contact-info.checkoutbiblebowl.com/
The form validation is valid and it still won't submit. I feel like I've overlooked something silly, but have looked at this over the last few days and can't figure out what it is. Any suggestions?
<form method='post' action='' name='form' novalidate ng-controller="myController">
<div class="row form">
<div class="form-inline">
<div class="form-row">
<label class="form-label" style='margin-top: 20px'>Name</label>
<div class="form-item">
<div style="float: left">
First<br/>
<input type="text" ng-model="firstName" name="firstName" class="small" style="width: 200px" maxlength="32" required>
<div ng-cloak ng-show="form.firstName.$error.required" class="required">First name is required</div>
</div>
<div style="float: left; margin-left: 1em">
Last<br/>
<input type="text" ng-model="lastName" name="lastName" class="small" style="width: 200px" maxlength="32" required>
<div ng-cloak ng-show="form.lastName.$error.required" class="required">Last name is required</div>
</div>
<div style="clear:both"></div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="button-row">
<button ng-disabled="!form.$valid" type="submit" class="btn" ng-click="debug()">Submit</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</form>
My Controller:
<script type="text/javascript">
angular.module('contact', []).
controller('myController', function ($scope) {
$scope.debug = function () {
console.log($scope.form);
}
});
</script>
I think you just need to specify the action explicitly, not with an empty string otherwise angular will prevent the submission.
