I'm using a dnn portal with two languages,English and Persian,in my Persian portal text direction is rtl and aligned right, when I change language to English,text align correctly change, but there is no change in menu bar and it still remain as right aligned, how can I use different css for each of my languages?
after creating a copy of skin.css do that
in your site root file Default.aspx.cs replace
ClientResourceManager.RegisterStyleSheet(this, ctlSkin.SkinPath + "skin.css", FileOrder.Css.SkinCss);
with
if (System.Threading.Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture.Name == "en-US")
{
ClientResourceManager.RegisterStyleSheet(this, ctlSkin.SkinPath + "skin.css", FileOrder.Css.SkinCss);
}
else
{
ClientResourceManager.RegisterStyleSheet(this, ctlSkin.SkinPath + "arabicskin.css", FileOrder.Css.SkinCss);
}

I would like to get the Application name of a specific sObject. For example: I have a custom object called Candidate__c. How to get the Application name of Candidate__c programmatically?
I am open to any approach like using Schema Namespace as well.
I am answering my question. I used Schema.describeTabs() and It works perfectly, but the Doc says the DescribeTabs method returns the minimum required metadata that can be used to render apps ...
Basically, The All Tabs are not included in the list of described tabs. The results are dependent upon the apps that are available to the running user.
// Get tab set describes for each app
List<Schema.DescribeTabSetResult> allApps = Schema.describeTabs();
// Iterate through each tab set describe for each app
for (Schema.DescribeTabSetResult oneApp : allApps) {
System.debug('The tabs/objects associated with the' + oneApp.getLabel() + ' app are:');
List<Schema.DescribeTabResult> appTabs = oneApp.getTabs();
for (Integer i = 0; i < appTabs.size(); i++) {
System.debug((i + 1) + '. Tab Name: ' + appTabs[i].getLabel());
}
}
I have a Drupal 7 multilingula site with 3 languages: english, arabic, and chinese.
It all work well, but I've just noticed that pages that are not translated have a duplicated URL for each language.
For example say I have www.example.com/node/12 (default language = English). This node doe snot have any translations.
However www.example.com/ar/node/12 and www.example.com/zh/node/12 both exist and point to the English page. They are even being index in Google.
How can I make these URL show a "Page not found" (which should be the expected behavior)?
There is an other way to translate your content, you can use the Entity Translation module. With this module, you can say that your content is not fully translatable, but just some fields on it (or all if all are translatable). With this system, you have just one node for each language, and this is a better things, if you navigate to your "ar/node/12" the node will be in arabic, if you navigate to the "zh/node/12", the node will be in chinese.
And generally this is better because there is some fields that doesn't need to be translated because it's the same in each language, like an entity reference, an address, etc.
Don't hesitate if you have other question.
Well, in the end I solved it with some custom code in hook_init:
$lang_name = $language->language ;
if ($lang_name == "ar" || $lang_name == "zh-hans") {
$has_translation = false;
if ($is_node) {
$translation_array = translation_node_get_translations($node->tnid);
$has_translation = isset($translation_array[$lang_name]);
}
if (!$has_translation) {
$path = drupal_get_path_alias(current_path());
$installed_languages = language_list();
$en = $installed_languages["en"];
drupal_goto($path, array('language' => $en), 301);
}
}
So, basically, on each page I check if we're on a language other than English (which means we're in a path starting with /ar or /zh). If that's the case and if we're on a node I check if there's an existing translation for that node and that language. If so we do nothing, but if not we redirect to the default path (without the language prefix).
I used the (new) GUI Builder and inserted an image (by way of adding a Label). However, it appears too big. Is there anyway I can scale and control the size? (I saw something which points to cloudinary but that seems too complicated. I just want to simply scale down the image.)
There are several ways to resize images in Codename One and I will mention few below:
1.
Use MultiImages in the GUI Builder. With this multiple sizes of images are generated from one image based on the sizes you specified. In your GUI Builder, Click Images -> Add Multi Images -> Select your image -> Check Preserve Aspect Ratio -> Increase the % that represents the percentage of the screen width you want the image to occupy. Set any DPI you don't require to 0.
2.
Use ScaledImageLabel or ScaledImageButton, it will resize the image the fill available space the component is occupying.
3.
Scale the image itself in code (This is not efficient, though):
public static Image getImageFromTheme(String name) {
try {
Resources resFile = Resources.openLayered("/theme");
Image image = resFile.getImage(name);
return image;
} catch (IOException ioe) {
//Log.p("Image " + name + " not found: " + ioe);
}
return null;
}
Image resizedImage = getImageFromTheme("myImage").scaledWidth(Math.round(Display.getInstance().getDisplayWidth() / 10)); //change value as necessary
4.
Mutate the image (Create an image from another image).
I am facing an issue where my graph is tree layout and looks fine initially. However, if I choose to change GraphSource upon user input/ clicks using PopulateGraphSource like in the OrgChart example, I get all the nodes stacked on top of each other with no links and all in corner.
I tried resetting graphSource by creating a new one
this.graphSource = new GraphSource();
I also tried to use the Clear method for GraphSource. Neither did solve the problem, I keep having the same issue.
I am using
ObservableCollection<Node> hierarchicalDataSource;
to fill up my GraphSource object.
All I do is create a new one and then call
PopulateGraphSource();
method.

Try calling the Layout method on the diagram control. Here is a little fragment of code
TreeLayoutSettings settings = new TreeLayoutSettings()
{
TreeLayoutType = TreeLayoutType.TreeDown,
VerticalSeparation = 60,
HorizontalSeparation=30
};
if (this.diagram.Shapes.Count > 0)
{
settings.Roots.Add(this.diagram.Shapes[0]);
this.diagram.Layout(LayoutType.Tree, settings);
this.diagram.AutoFit();
//this.diagram.Zoom = 1;
}
In Qt Designer I'm creating multiple labels (for instance):
my_label1
my_label2
my_label3
...
my_label n
Then if I want to hide them I do this:
ui->my_label1->hide();
ui->my_label2->hide();
ui->my_label3->hide();
...
ui->my_labeln->hide();
However I would like to define the labels like
my_label[n]
So then I would be able to do this:
for(i=0;i<n;i++)
{
ui->my_label[n]->hide();
}
I read that I can define the widget like:
QLabel* my_label[5];
but is there any way to do the same from Qt Designer?
Thanks in advance!
Finally I decided to do direct assignment:
QLabel* my_label_array[5];
my_label_array[0] = ui->my_label1;
my_label_array[1] = ui->my_label2;
my_label_array[2] = ui->my_label3;
my_label_array[3] = ui->my_label4;
my_label_array[4] = ui->my_label5;
Then I can do for instance:
for(idx=0;idx<6;idx++) my_label_array[idx]->show();
for(idx=0;idx<6;idx++) my_label_array[idx]->hide();
for(idx=0;idx<6;idx++) my_label_array[idx]->setEnabled(1);
for(idx=0;idx<6;idx++) my_label_array[idx]->setDisabled(1);
etc...
Then I was able to perform iterations. I believe is not the cleanest way to do it but given my basic knowledge of Qt is ok for me.
Thank you very much for your answers and your support! This is a great site with great people.
Instead of creating an explicit array, you may be able to name your widgets using a particular scheme and then use QObject::findChildren() on the parent widget to get a list of the widgets you are after.
If you only want to hide widgets, you can put all the widgets you want to hide in an invisible QFrame (set frameShape to NoFrame) and hide them all by calling setVisible(false) on the QFrame. This may cause some unwanted side effects with layouts so you may have to tweak some size policy settings.
In case you are wanting to hide controls so that you can simulate a wizard type UI, you may want to check into QStackedWidget.
I have another dirty workaround for this:
in header file
// .hpp
class UiBlabla : public QWidget {
...
QLabel** labels;
};
in source file
// constructor
ui->setupUi(this);
labels = new QLabel*[10]{ui->label_0, ui->label_1, ui->label_2, ui->label_3,
ui->label_4, ui->label_5, ui->label_6,
ui->label_7, ui->label_8, ui->label_9};
I haven't seen anything in QtDesigner to do that, but there are a couple of relatively easy ways to get that behavior.
1) Simply store the my_labelx pointers (from QtDesigner) in an array (or better, a QVector):
QVector<QLabel*> my_labels;
my_labels.push_back(ui->my_label1);
my_labels.push_back(ui->my_label2);
Then you can iterate through the QVector.
for(int i=0; i < my_labels.size(); ++i) {
my_labels[i]-> hide();
}
// or with QFOREACH
foreach(QLabel* label, my_labels)
label->hide();
There is a little setup needed in terms of adding all the labels to the QVector, but on the plus side you only do that once.
2) Depending on the layout of your gui, you could have all your labels be children of a container object and iterate through the children
