I try to edit style in wpf like this :
which allow the user design, like this
but when i try to create my own style there is chrome layer not Template and I can not create my own button, I can only modify simple value like brush , ......
Milad just remove that chrome layer and include border in the template (write your own triggers for mouseover and click):
<Border x:Name="Chrome" BorderBrush="{TemplateBinding BorderBrush}" Background="{TemplateBinding Background}" SnapsToDevicePixels="true">
<ContentPresenter HorizontalAlignment="{TemplateBinding HorizontalContentAlignment}" Margin="{TemplateBinding Padding}" RecognizesAccessKey="True" SnapsToDevicePixels="{TemplateBinding SnapsToDevicePixels}" VerticalAlignment="{TemplateBinding VerticalContentAlignment}"/>
</Border>
Triggers:
<ControlTemplate.Triggers>
<Trigger Property="IsMouseOver" Value="true">
<Setter Property="Background" TargetName="Chrome" Value="Blue"/>
</Trigger>
<Trigger Property="IsEnabled" Value="false">
<Setter Property="Foreground" Value="#ADADAD"/>
</Trigger>
</ControlTemplate.Triggers>
Very detailed canonical example of WPF Button control styling via XAML is provided in Micrsoft MSDN (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms753328%28v=vs.110%29.aspx):

For some reason when setting the border thickness for a custom progress bar style the border does not retain the same thickness? Why does this happen? The border will ideally be a value of 1. I just set it to 6 so exaggerate the issue.

I have a combobox which does not allow text input. Because of this, I don't need the down arrow; just clicking anywhere on the box drops the menu down.
I found this answer: WPF: ComboBox without dropdown button
However, that answer removes the down arrow AND the resulting scrollbar in the drop down menu. I would like to just remove the down arrow, but not the scrollbar in the drop down menu.
How is this possible?
You would have to edit the control template unfortunately.
This template removes the dropdown arrow (warning; it's super long). Feel free to customize the template however you like. I got the original template from MSDN. I Just commented out the lines that show the drop down glyph so that you could see what they originally looked like (Search for "Path" to find them).

I'm having trouble with changing the background colour of a combobox when it receives focus, and on mouseover. I would of thought this should be reasonably straightforward, but I'm stumped.
Any help would be appreciated.

It won't work because of the default ControlTemplate on ComboBox. ComboBox consists of two parts, TextBox and Popup. The way you're doing it, it'll affect only the TextBox... but temporarily. So, if you mouseover the combobox, you'll notice that your background takes affect and then it disappears. That's because the default ControlTemplate has that animating behavior overriding your new background.
The easiest way to customize a ComboBox is to define a new template. You may find an example here (from MSDN):
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms752094(v=vs.110).aspx
In case you're having issues with the link, here's an example of a ControlTemplate for the ComboBox:

If you're new to control templates, don't get intimidated by its size. Simply read through what it's showing and you'll see that it's actually very simple. Blend can make your life even easier, as it makes the routine of working with templates very simple and will actually let you edit a copy of the default template when you select to edit the existing template.

What you need to do is set the brush to something like a solidcolorbrush object. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.media.solidcolorbrush.aspx
The constructor takes a color object.
The following code works, but I had to do this:
Uri uri2 = new Uri("/Resources/DayModeTab2.xaml", UriKind.Relative);
ResourceDictionary resDict2 = Application.LoadComponent(uri2) as ResourceDictionary;
//Make some changes
MobileApp.Get().Resources.MergedDictionaries.Add(resDict2);
And also my poor naming scheme caused conflicts since I have Brush0 in 2 xaml files.
