angular fullstack injection of sass files seems a bit strange? - angularjs

Question

I have a relatively large angular project built around yo angular-fullstack. I am not familiar with sass files and have been using them as it they were simple css files. What I find very strange it that when I have a controller (example) which has three files { example.js, example.html, and example.scss } the example.scss file is injected everywhere. Indeed, every controller's scss files are seen upon inspection in the browser.
Can someone point to the process of controlling this injection? I simply thought that the scope of the directory would control the inject for a given controller. Obviously that was foolish. Thanks for your insight!
It seems that a simple query would save a lot of time, as opposed to dissect the Grunt file. However, I have attached the Grunt file it that is needed!

Hello JoelParke,
i think you should read the Sass-Guide again. Sass is a CSS-Preprocessor Framework, that gives you some advantage features to CSS, like variables and syntactic sugar to compose complex structures. It helps a lot keeping your CSS readable and maintainable.
Your Gruntfile seems to be correct. It looks like the original file from the angular-fullstack generator. There are a few parts i would like to explain:
in your Gruntfile you find:
