Angular 1.3 data binding not working - angularjs

I'm running into some problems with Angular 1.3.2
I'm expecting to see the formData object being populated with whatever is being typed in the input fields
I have the following code.
angular.module('formApp', [])
.controller('FormController', function ($scope, $http) {
$scope.formData = {};
$scope.processForm = function () {
};
});
<div class="form-container" ng-app="formApp" ng-controller="FormController">
<div class="container">
<form>
<div id="name-group" class="form-group">
<label>Name</label>
<input type="text" name="name" class="form-control" placeholder="Bruce Wayne" ng-model="formData.name">
<span class="help-block"></span>
</div>
<div id="superhero-group" class="form-group">
<label>Superhero Alias</label>
<input type="text" name="superheroAlias" class="form-control" placeholder="Caped Crusader"
ng-model="formData.superheroAlias">
<span class="help-block"></span>
</div>
<button type="submit" class="btn btn-success btn-lg btn-block">
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-flash"></span> Submit!
</button>
</form>
<pre>
{{ formData }}
</pre>
</div>
</div>

you have a typo in your ngcontroller syntax. it should be ng-controller
<div class="form-container" ng-app="formApp" ng-controller="FormController">

Copied your code and it is working, see below:
angular.module('formApp', [])
.controller('FormController', function ($scope, $http) {
$scope.formData = {};
$scope.processForm = function () {
};
});
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/angularjs/1.2.23/angular.min.js"></script>
<div class="form-container" ng-app="formApp" ng-controller="FormController">
<div class="container">
<form>
<div id="name-group" class="form-group">
<label>Name</label>
<input type="text" name="name" class="form-control" placeholder="Bruce Wayne" ng-model="formData.name">
<span class="help-block"></span>
</div>
<div id="superhero-group" class="form-group">
<label>Superhero Alias</label>
<input type="text" name="superheroAlias" class="form-control" placeholder="Caped Crusader"
ng-model="formData.superheroAlias">
<span class="help-block"></span>
</div>
<button type="submit" class="btn btn-success btn-lg btn-block">
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-flash"></span> Submit!
</button>
</form>
<pre>
{{ formData }}
</pre>
</div>

Angularjs upload image

I'm trying to create an upload function using angularjs. I have watch and read few tutorials in the internet. Unfortunately all the tutorials are too complicated for me because I'm still new in this field.
<form ng-submit="upload(currentUser())">
<div class="row">
<div class="form-group">
<div class="col-xs-2">
<label>Car</label>
</div>
<div class="col-xs-5">
<input type="text" placeholder="Perodua Myvi" class="form-control" ng-model="newCar" required>
</div>
<div class="col-xs-5"></div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="row">
<div class="form-group">
<div class="col-xs-2">
<label>Price(RM) per day</label>
</div>
<div class="col-xs-5">
<input type="text" placeholder="80" class="form-control" ng-model="newPrice" required>
</div>
<div class="col-xs-5"></div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="row">
<div class="form-group">
<div class="col-xs-2">
<label>Business Area</label>
</div>
<div class="col-xs-5">
<input type="text" placeholder="Universiti Malaysia Sabah" class="form-control" ng-model="businessArea" required>
</div>
<div class="col-xs-5"></div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="row">
<div class="form-group">
<div class="col-xs-2">
<label>Insert Car Image</label>
<br>
</div>
<div class="col-xs-5">
<!--<button type="button" class="btn btn-default btn-sm">
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-picture"></span> Image
</button>-->
<input type="file"/>
</div>
<div class="col-xs-5"></div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="row">
<div class="form-group">
<div class="col-xs-2">
</div>
<div class="col-xs-5">
<button type="submit" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm pull-right">
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-globe"></span> Publish
</button>
</div>
<div class="col-xs-5"></div>
</div>
</div>
<br>
<br>
</form>
app.controller('postadCtrl', [
'$scope',
'auth',
function($scope, auth) {
$scope.currentUser = auth.currentUser;
$scope.posts = [];
$scope.upload = function(user) {
$scope.posts.push({
company_name: user,
car_type: $scope.newCar,
seaters: 5,
price: $scope.newPrice,
contact: 038880000,
location: $scope.businessArea
});
};
}
]);
So how do I do this in the simplest form and explanation? And how does my router and module will look like?
The output should look like this.

ng-model is not updating the right user in AngularJS

I am kind of new in AngularJS, and I have a form that users can edit there form. But when user clicks update, it updates the form. BUT, the user does not update the user. Shown in the image
Image here
Here is my code:
<div ng-controller="MyCtrl">
<div class="people-view">
<h2 class="name">{{people.first}}</h2>
<h2 class="name">{{people.last}}</h2>
<span class="title">{{people.title}}</span>
<span class="date">{{people.date}} </span>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<!-- the form -->
<div class="list-view">
<form>
<fieldset ng-disabled="inactive">
<legend>Basic Info</legend>
<b>First Name:</b>
<input type="text" ng-model="myObject.first">
<br>
<b>Last Name:</b>
<input type="text" ng-model="myObject.last">
<button type="button" class="edit" ng-show="inactive" ng-click="inactive = !inactive">
Edit
</button>
<button type="submit" class="submit" ng-show="!inactive" ng-click="update()">Update</button>
</form>
App.js
var app = angular.module("Portal", ['ngRoute']);
app.controller('MyCtrl', function($scope) {
$scope.inactive = true;
$scope.people = {};
$scope.myObject = JSON.parse(localStorage.getItem('myObject')) || {
first : $scope.people.first,
last : $scope.people.last,
};
$scope.update = function(){
$scope.people.first = $scope.myObject.first;
$scope.people.last = $scope.myObject.last;
localStorage.setItem('myObject', JSON.stringify($scope.myObject));
};
$scope.deletePeople = deletePeople;
function deletePeople(id){
var userToDelete;
$scope.people.forEach(function(p, index){
if(p.id == id){
userToDelete = index;
}
});
$scope.people.splice(userToDelete, 1);
console.log($scope.people);
}
});
List of users
<div class="people" ng-repeat="p in people | filter:userSearch" >
<a href="#/people/{{ p.id }}">
<img ng-src="{{p.img}}"/>
<span class="name">{{p.first}} </span>
<span class="name">{{p.last}} </span>
<p class="title">{{p.title}} </p>
<span class="date">{{p.date}} </span>
</a>
</div>
The people view section should be included under <div ng-controller="MyCtrl"> div. So just move that line up so it's the first line of the code.
Your ng-model in the form needs to be people.first and people.last respectively. E.g. <b>First Name:</b>
<input type="text" ng-model="people.first">
<br>
<b>Last Name:</b>
<input type="text" ng-model="people.last">
check this
As Swailem95 said you have to move the <div ng-controller="MyCtrl"> top and it looks like below after that.
<div ng-controller="MyCtrl">
<div class="people-view">
<h2 class="name">{{people.first}}</h2>
<h2 class="name">{{people.last}}</h2>
<span class="title">{{people.title}}</span>
<span class="date">{{people.date}} </span>
</div>
<!-- the form -->
<div class="list-view">
<form>
<fieldset ng-disabled="inactive">
<legend>Basic Info</legend>
<b>First Name:</b>
<input type="text" ng-model="myObject.first">
<br>
<b>Last Name:</b>
<input type="text" ng-model="myObject.last">
</fieldset>
<button type="button" class="edit" ng-show="inactive" ng-click="inactive = !inactive">
Edit
</button>
<button type="submit" class="submit" ng-show="!inactive" ng-click="update()">Update</button>
</form>
</div>
</div>

Angular and Bootstrap radio buttons conflict When Editing Form

I am unable to get automatic radio button checked when I edit the User From using following Html and AngularJs Code. When I console {{changeUser}} this returns following data
{"id":1,"username":"Ramesh","password":"Ramesh1#23","role":"admin","active":"no"}. When I load the edit form I have to automatically checked the no radio button in the following code.
<div class="portlet-body form">
<!-- BEGIN FORM-->
<form class="form-horizontal form-bordered" name="editUserForm" data-ng-submit="userEdit(changeUser)">
<div class="form-body">

<div class="form-group">

<div class="col-md-4">

</label>
<label class="radio-inline">

</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="form-actions">

</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</form>
<!-- END FORM-->
</div>
</div>
</div>
The Controller is
(function (){
"use strict";
function UsersEditController($scope, UserFactory, $http, $location) {
$scope.$on('$viewContentLoaded', function () {
App.initAjax(); // initialize core components
});
$scope.changeUser = {};
$scope.changeUser = UserFactory.get();
$scope.userEdit = function(data) {
$scope.changeUser = data;
console.log($scope.changeUser);
};
$scope.usersPattern = {
password: '((?=.*\\d)(?=.*[a-z])(?=.*[A-Z])(?=.*[!##$%]).{8,20})'
};
$scope.cancelEdit = function() {
$location.path('users');
};
}
UsersEditController.$inject = ['$scope', 'UserFactory', '$http', '$location'];
angular.module('books').controller('UsersEditController', UsersEditController);
})()
And I guess this is your answer (even without js code provided :) )

You need to add ng-value and use it instead of the standard value

Why does ng-messages for form validation not work when using $rollbackViewValue

I have a form using ng-messages for form validation error messages. Im also using the new ng-model-options with $rollbackViewValue to rollback all changes to the form. Problem is ng-mesages will not work if I use the rollbackViewValue on the form.
I really like this new function in angular1.3 using ng-model-options to reset a form as I have not found anything that works as well as $rollbackViewValue()
Heres is the code and plunker
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html data-ng-app="App">
<head lang="en">
<meta charset="UTF-8">
<title></title>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.1/css/bootstrap.min.css"/>
</head>
<body>
<div class="container" data-ng-controller="formCrtl as vm">
<div class="col-lg-5">
<form name="form" novalidate="novalidate" role="form"
data-ng-submit="vm.submit()"
data-ng-model-options="{updateOn: 'submit'}" >
<!---->
<div class="form-group" data-ng-class="{ 'has-error': form.fname.$invalid && form.fname.$touched }">
<label for="fname">First Name</label>
<input type="text" required class="form-control" name="fname" id="fname" placeholder="Enter text" data-ng-model="vm.names.fname">
<div data-ng-if="form.fname.$touched" data-ng-messages="form.fname.$error">
<span class="help-block" data-ng-message="required">required field</span>
</div>
</div>
<div class="form-group" data-ng-class="{ 'has-error': form.lname.$invalid && form.lname.$touched }">
<label for="lname">Last Name</label>
<input type="text" required class="form-control" name="lname" id="lname" placeholder="Enter text" data-ng-model="vm.names.lname">
<div data-ng-if="form.lname.$touched" data-ng-messages="form.lname.$error">
<span class="help-block" data-ng-message="required">required field</span>
</div>
</div>
<div class="col-sm-offset-2 col-sm-10 btn-group">
<button type="submit" class="btn btn-primary" data-ng-disabled="form.$invalid">Submit</button>
<button type="button" class="btn btn-default" data-ng-click="form.$rollbackViewValue()">reset</button>

</body>
</html>
controller
var App = angular.module("App", ['App', 'ngMessages']);
App.controller('formCrtl',function ($scope, $rootScope) {
var vm = this;
vm.names = {
fname: "Albert",
lname: "Capone"
}
});
You would need to make the form pristine and revert back the touched state as well. You can do so by calling the special functions, $setPristine() and $setUntouched() , on the formController. But it appears rollBackViewValue works with ngSubmit, but it is only to revertback during some action, (like esc key, another button). But if the form field has contraint errors it appears it updated viewvalue to nullify the entered value. You could try this way by resetting to default field values.
In your view:-
<button type="button" class="btn btn-default"
data-ng-click="vm.reset(form)">reset</button>
In your controller:-
var vm = this;
var defModel = {
fname: "Albert",
lname: "Capone"
};
vm.names = angular.copy(defModel);
vm.reset = function(form) {
form.$rollbackViewValue();
form.$setPristine(); //Set pristine state
form.$setUntouched(); //Set state from touched to untouched
vm.names = angular.copy(defModel); //reset model
}
var App = angular.module("App", ['App', 'ngMessages']);
App.controller('formCrtl', function($scope, $rootScope) {
var vm = this;
var defModel = {
fname: "Albert",
lname: "Capone"
};
vm.names = angular.copy(defModel);
vm.reset = function(form) {
form.$rollbackViewValue(); //Probably can be removed
form.$setPristine();
form.$setUntouched();
vm.names = angular.copy(defModel);
}
});
<div data-ng-app="App">

Can not bind a model to $scope

This is my HTML:
<form method="post">
<div class="form-group" data-ng-switch="name">
<div data-ng-switch-when="null">
<label>Name</label>
<input class="form-control" name="name" id="name" data-ng-model="vendor.name" >
</div>
<div data-ng-switch-default>
<label>Name: </label>
<label>{{vendor.name}}</label>
<input type="hidden" class="form-control" name="name" id="name" data-ng-model="vendor.name" >
</div>
</div>
<div class="form-group">
<label>Description</label>
<input class="form-control" name="description" id="description" data-ng-model="vendor.description" >
</div>
<br>
<div data-ng-switch="name">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-primary pull-right" data-ng-switch-when="null" data-ng-click="save()">Save</button>
<button type="button" class="btn btn-primary pull-right" data-ng-switch-default data-ng-click="update()">Save</button>
</div>
</form>
and this is part of my controller:
$scope.save = function() {
// vendor.name does not exist in here, why?
Vendor.get($scope.vendor.name).
success(function(response) {}).error(function() {
var postData = {
'name': $scope.vendor.name,
'description': $scope.vendor.description
};
Vendor.update(postData);
});
};
I checked that save() is being called. Why vendor.description does exist but vendor.name does not exist before calling Vendor.get function?
