Add directive in loop based on criteria - angularjs

I have a timeline.json like:

Based on from attribute I need "render" specific directives: post-twitter or post-facebook Inside a loop
How could I do that?

There are several ways. You can use ng-switch, ng-if, or a custom handler function in the link phase. You can find more info in the documentation.
Basically, switch between tags that invoke the directive based on a conditional statement, being it the 'from' value in your model. You can combine for example the ng-if directive with ng-include, to render a portion of your template based on this condition. Just make sure it won't degrade the performance.

You can create a directive which compiles wanted directive depending on the passed argument.
Something like:

Adding directives to an element using another directive

I am trying to create a directive that adds some html code but also adds additional attributes/directives.
Using the code below, an ng-class attribute is indeed added, but it seems angular does not recognize it as a directive anymore. It is there, but it has no effect.
How can I get it to work? Thanks.

EDIT:
The solution by #Abdul23 solves the problem, but another problem arises: when the template contains other directives (like ng-if) these are not executed. It seems the problem just moved.
Is it possible to also make the directives inside the template work?
Or perhaps insert the html using the compile function instead of the template parameter. Since I want a simple distinction based on some value menuItem.isSimple (and this value will not change), perhaps I can insert only the html specific to that case without using ng-if, but how?

AngularJS : directives which take a template through a configuration object, and show that template multiple times

I'm looking to create a custom directive that will take a template as a property of a configuration object, and show that template a given number of times surrounded by a header and footer. What's the best approach to create such a directive?
The directive would receive the configuration object as a scope option:

This object (called config) is passed optionally to the directive using two way binding, as show in the code above. The configuration object can include a template and a number indicating the number of times the directive should show the template. Consider, for example, the following config object:

It would, when passed to the directive, cause the directive to show the template five times (using an ng-repeat.) The directive also shows a header and a footer above and below the template(s):

What's the best way to implement this directive? Note: When you reply, please provide a working example in a code playground such as Plunker, as I've run into problems with each possible implementation I've explored.
Update, the solutions I've explored include:
The use of the directive's link function to append the head, template with ng-repeat, and footer. This suffers from the problem of the template not being repeated, for some unknown reason, and the whole solutions seems like a hack.
The insertion of the template from the configuration object into middle of the template of the directive itself. This proves difficult because jqLite seems to have removed all notion of a CSS selector from its jQuery-based API, leading me to wonder if this solution is "the Angular way."
The use of the compile function to build out the template. This seems right to me, but I don't know if it will work.
You could indeed use ng-repeat but within your directive template rather than manually in the link (as that wouldn't be compiled, hence not repeated).
One question you didn't answer is, should this repeated template be compiled and linked by Angular, or is it going to be static HTML only?

I'd think to use ng-transclude in this case, because the header & footer wrapper will be provided by the directive the inner content should change on basis of condition.

Angularjs - Pass argument to directive

Im wondering if there is a way to pass an argument to a directive?
What I want to do is append a directive from the controller like this:

Is it possible to pass an argument at the same time so the content of my directive template could be linked to one scope or another?

You can pass arguments to your custom directive as you do with the builtin Angular-directives - by specifying an attribute on the directive-element:

What you need to do is define the scope (including the argument(s)/parameter(s)) in the factory function of your directive. In below example the directive takes a title-parameter. You can then use it, for example in the template, using the regular Angular-way: {{title}}

Depending on how/what you want to bind, you have different options:
= is two-way binding
# simply reads the value (one-way binding)
& is used to bind functions
In some cases you may want use an "external" name which differs from the "internal" name. With external I mean the attribute name on the directive-element and with internal I mean the name of the variable which is used within the directive's scope.
For example if we look at above directive, you might not want to specify another, additional attribute for the title, even though you internally want to work with a title-property. Instead you want to use your directive as follows:
<directive-name="title2"></directive-name>
This can be achieved by specifying a name behind the above mentioned option in the scope definition:

Please also note following things:
The HTML5-specification says that custom attributes (this is basically what is all over the place in Angular applications) should be prefixed with data-. Angular supports this by stripping the data--prefix from any attributes. So in above example you could specify the attribute on the element (data-title="title2") and internally everything would be the same.
Attributes on elements are always in the form of <div data-my-attribute="..." /> while in code (e.g. properties on scope object) they are in the form of myAttribute. I lost lots of time before I realized this.

I now can use different scopes through the same directive and append them dynamically.

I'm using directive as html attribute and I passed parameter as following in my HTML file. my-directive="push" And from the directive I retrieved it from the Mouse-click event object. event.target.getAttribute('my-directive').

Is it possible to conditionally apply transclution to directive?

Is it possible to decide whether to apply transclusion to an element based on a scope variable ?
For example ( Stupid simplified reduced example of what i'm trying to achieve )

Instead of optionally applying the highlight directive, always apply it and do the optional wrapping inside that directive. The optional wrapping is achieved with an ng-if and a boolean passed from myDirective to myHighlight via markup:

Sure. When you specify the transclude option, you know that you can declaratively indicate where the content should go using ng-transclude.
In the linking function of the directive, you will also get a reference to a transclude function (https://docs.angularjs.org/api/ng/service/$compile, see link section):
function link(scope, iElement, iAttrs, controller, transcludeFn) { ... }
The transcludeFn will return the transcluded content, so you can conditionally insert that were and when you want to in the link function of your directive.

When I approach these kind of problems I just look at what angular did. Usually their source code is very readable and easy to re-use. ngTransclude is no different:

I leave the rest to you. You can either create your own transclusion directive that receives also a condition, or just duplicate the code into your specific directive when the if condition is true.

Access repeated item inside ng-repeated directive

I'm building a custom directive in AngularJS that I need to be repeated a couple of times. Currently, my page looks like this:

And my directive looks like this:

However, inside the linking function, $scope.item.name yields undefined. I'm wondering if there is any way I could access the repeated item inside my directive.
If not, what would be my alternatives? Move the ng-repeat inside the directive, maybe?
P.S. I know that you should (generally speaking) not do DOM manipulation this way, but since I might have ~2000 items that would result in 6000 bindings, and I'm afraid that would lead to severe performance issues.
